That was the one thing I will say that Egypt did well was by having very smooth hookah despite the charcoal flavor. The setting is very nice and dark. Pretty quiet there and has very beautiful ancient Egyptian art.

Their front of house focus is the wine bar, but they also have a good cocktail and martini menu, as well as a nice selection of food items. The interior is warm and cozy with two different seating areas. The larger front area has bar seating, quite a few tables, and a lounge area in the back corner with several couches. There is another area in the back which is smaller, and houses their cocktail bar and a number of two seat high top tables. You can order anything on the menu from either area. We sat at the bar in front for some Sunday evening cocktails and small bites. We started out with the spinach & artichoke dip ($15). The dip came out very hot, was a big portion, and was very good. However, the menu said it came with toast points, but instead it was served with tortilla chips which were just ok. The advertised toast points or fresher tortilla chips would have made this appetizer better. My first cocktail was the Limoncello Martini (vodka, fresh Limoncello, lemon juice, $15). I usually love anything lemon and this was a good martini with light lemon flavor. She started with the Purple Martin Martini (vodka, raspberry puree, pineapple, $15). This was another good martini with light sweetness from the raspberry and pineapple, not a sugar bomb. We wanted a little more food, so we ordered the Caprese flatbread ($18). It was a good size, and the dough was great. It had a good amount of cheese and tomatoes, and I really liked the balsamic drizzle on top. However, it did not come with the basil that was listed on the menu. Next, I tried the Peperoncino Martini (vodka, Italian Peperoncino brine, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, $15). I loved this, one of the more unique martinis I've had. She liked her sip so much, she ordered her own for number three. Her second cocktail was the Carmel Apple Martini (carmel apple vodka, Licor 43, lemon, star anise, caramel cube garnish, $15). Most of the time, you would expect a caramel apple martini to be a sugar bomb, but not this one. The flavors were great with a light sweetness. And who doesn't like a caramel square treat? For my last one, I had the Cinnamon Sleigh (bourbon, cinnamon spice, maple, orange twist, $15). This was a good sipping finisher with light cinnamon notes and those great orange aromatics. KJ was our server, and she was very sweet and friendly. We came early in the evening and it was a little slow, so we chatting with her quite a bit. I'd take a half point off for the two food items not coming with the listed items, but rounded up to five stars overall. The bill had a 3% charge added for using a credit card. They have a music trivia night on Thursdays which would be fun to try. We enjoyed our first visit here, and will definitely return again.

As I continued searching for places worth sitting down, lighting up, and staying awhile, I headed out to Maxamar Ultimate Cigars in the City of Orange. The first thing that struck me was the sheer size of the selection. The entire store felt like one massive humidor, packed wall-to-wall with premium cigars from nearly every major brand imaginable. As a longtime fan of Davidoff cigars, I immediately noticed they carried what appeared to be the full Davidoff lineup, including rare and exclusive releases that are difficult to find elsewhere. I was fortunate enough to meet John, a retired tech industry professional now working part-time at Maxamar. John has been smoking cigars for nearly 50 years, beginning as a young man alongside his father. Having grown up in the Middle East, he explained that cigar smoking at an early age was far more common there than it is in the United States. His knowledge of the inventory, the Davidoff line, and the cigar industry as a whole was genuinely impressive. Conversations like that are becoming rare, and it added something authentic to the experience. John explained that Maxamar is closely tied to exclusive cigar releases and retailer-only collaborations. Over the years, they've partnered with brands such as Davidoff and Felipe Gregorio, along with exclusive products offered through their online operation, "Small Batch Cigars". While Maxamar does not have an indoor lounge, they do offer an outdoor smoking patio complete with rocking chairs, ashtrays, cutters, and everything needed to settle in for a proper smoke. The only drawback was the nearby street noise, and the patio could benefit from a bit more atmosphere. Still, that quickly faded into the background because of the people. The cigar enthusiasts I sat with were welcoming, knowledgeable, and eager to share recommendations and stories. It was obvious many of them were longtime loyal customers. Nearly everyone seemed familiar with the shop's history, the owner, and the numerous cigar events Maxamar hosts throughout the year due to both its popularity and the volume of premium cigars they move through the store. Maxamar has earned multiple Davidoff Golden Band Awards and is widely recognized as a top-tier retail partner for the brand. Davidoff even sponsors exclusive events specifically for Maxamar customers and patrons. The shop has been around for more than 25 years and still carries the feel of an old-school tobacconist -- focused more on selection, pricing, and cigar culture than luxury aesthetics. In many ways, that's part of its charm. I also found their pricing surprisingly competitive compared to many other OC cigar shops, especially considering California's tobacco taxes. John told me one of Maxamar's greatest strengths is the depth and rotation of its inventory. Cigar Review - John recommended several cigars and I ultimately settled on two boutique brands - Casa Del Tobacco and a cigar named after the Bond Girl "Octopussy" from the 1983 film. I am HAPPY to say that I am now a returning customer again. Thanks again for taking care of what I needed and fixing the situation. U know. I loved this place. Came there for all my vaping needs and for two weeks I've come by a few times for specific product they were out if and they say oh we will have it tomorrow. I come a couple days later and still no product avail. Kinda annoyed. I'm a busy person and I take time out of my day ( and now have gone to ur store 5 times)to go to ur shop specifically and being told u still don't have the product that was supposed to be there two weeks ago is frustrating. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Long time customer since the store opened (2016) I buy most of my stuff from here because it's…read moreright next to my house and most of the time they are pretty chill (just bought a hunni badger from them on 4/20)..... But not last night!! I asked the new guy for a coil for the Nord 4 and he said he didn't have it in stock. He asked where I bought the mod and I actually bought it from the same store..... I saw some coils that might have matched but he didn't want to take the time to figure it out so I didn't push it. I wanted to buy 2 VV stick batteries, but they didn't have much stock of larger size batteries, I just bought any 2 900's I thought both were VV. One ended up not being V so I returned it with 10 mins of purchasing it. The new employee at the store didn't understand that when you refund part of a purchase, you refund the tax paid for that portion as well. He called the owner and owner told me to never come back in the store over $1.50 of tax. Don't worry you will not have my business any longer, I'll just go to STONE SMOKE SHOP right down the street. The owner is amazing (there almost all the time), great prices and if he does not have it in stock he will order it for you.
