This review is long overdue. When we first moved to Yorba Linda, I stopped into Empire Cigar and Spirits looking for a gift for my husband. I knew very little about cigars, but Danny, the owner, took the time to ask all the right questions and helped me choose the perfect humidor and a selection of cigars. My husband was absolutely thrilled with the gift. Since then, Empire Cigar and Spirits has become my husband's go-to shop for all of his cigar needs. Danny is incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and always willing to share recommendations based on what his customers enjoy. What really sets him apart, though, is the way he treats people. He takes the time to get to know his customers and genuinely cares about providing a great experience every time you walk through the door. In a world of big-box stores and online shopping, it's refreshing to find a local business owner who is so passionate about what he does and so invested in his community. Danny is truly a gem, and Empire Cigar and Spirits is the kind of small business that deserves our support. If you're looking for quality cigars, spirits, expert advice, or a great gift, I highly recommend stopping by. You won't be disappointed. read more

Dan is amazing. I wanted to buy a pipe tobacco lighter and they ran out, so he gave me his.

Great place right in the heart of Yorba Linda! Great selection of cigars. Best of all, great customer service!

Came in to the shop today to shop for my husband's Valentine's Day gift and best friend's birthday. Not only was Danny patient with all my questions and lack of knowledge of cigars but he was very honest about the types of cigars that might fit the flavor profile I was looking for. It was clear from the prices that he could have simply handed me expensive cigars just to make an extra buck but he didn't. Will definitely be coming back. read more

Far and away the best selection and best service in NOC. Always helpful and makes buying gifts for my husband fun! Can't say enough good things about this business!! read more

Stopped in as I was driving by. Met Dani and had a great conversation about cigars, life and everything else under the sun. Great choice of premium cigars. Although not close to my home, I will definitely be stopping by when driving through town. I highly recommend this shop if you're an experienced or novice smoker. Dani will take care of you. 10/10. read more

The customer service here is amazing! My fiancé was buying cigars for his groomsmen boxes and the owner was so helpful, considerate, and very friendly. He helped us pick out cigars that were affordable and also fit the taste for each of the groomsmen . The original shop we used to go to had terrible customer service so we will be going here from now on!! 10/10 recommend to everyone! read more

Phenomenal shop , great selection at great prices Service is always great. A large Variety of cigars, humidors, cutters and lighters read more

This is a great old fashioned cigar and pipe shop. I don't know why he doesn't sell cigarettes but to each their own. He is very conscious of maintaining a sophisticated clientele with a membership only lounge with mailboxes/ keepsake boxes in the back. read more

Just started enjoying cigars and found the gem of a shop just minutes from my house. Went in looking for some good beginner sticks and the owner Danny was very helpful and knowledgeable on what I should start with. Just smoked one of the House blends and really enjoyed it. It paired nice with a single malt scotch. I will definitely be returning. read more

Great little spot to relax and have a cigar. The owner is really knowledgeable about his cigar selections and accessories. Not a big place but good enough to chill and have a good smoke. read more

Stopped in to pick up a box of Padron cigars here today. Danny helped me out. Outstanding customer service at this location and amazing selection. Highly recommend them if you are in the north Orange County Area. You will not be disappointed. read more

Very knowledgeable shop owner and a great selection of cigars. Be sure to ask questions and ask for recommendations.

A 3 Star store with 1 Star service. Stopped by for the first time to purchase a Cigar. The selection of premium cigars is modest and the large selection of low end cigars were over priced. When I selected my cigar I asked if I could use a cutter and lighter, which the owner was happy to provide. I paid, cut the cigar and as I lit up I was told I couldn't smoke it there. I can appreciate clubs wanting to rent lockers and charge memberships; in fact I have two, but I'd have expected the offer of a day pass or minimum purchase or at least a warning before I bought the cigar that I wouldn't be able to smoke there. I'll see if I get better service at Plume Cigar read more

I went to Cigar Empire for the first time yesterday. I'm not a huge cigar smoker, and I really only smoke them once or twice every few months, but my friends and I are on our way out of town this weekend for some wine tasting, and what better thing to compliment that than some delicious cigars? I thought the place would be a bit roomier, but it's got a quaint feel to it. There are a few seats to relax, drink a beer, smoke a cigar, but when I say "a few" I mean exactly 3. You won't be bringing a party in here, but it's a nice escape from home for an hour long cigar. The owner (I presume) was a seemingly East Coast guy, but when I asked him he said he was a local. He had the right "feel" for a cigar shop salesman, and when I told him I was a novice, he was super helpful. He pointed me to affordable cigars (I suspected as most businessmen would that he'd suggest expensive, but he didn't), and then asked me to buy the house blend for myself. He was able to guide me well based on a few questions he asked me, he was super friendly, and I felt zero pressure to buy anything that I didn't want. If you're buying cigars, go here. The owner makes the experience, honestly. Loved it. Smoked the house blend last night--DELICIOUS! read more

Just discovered this gem of a spot! Super friendly and helpful. The cigars that were recommended were a gift and big hit! Thank you Cigar Empire! See you again soon! Christmas is almost here! read more

Had to finish off my meal with a cigar. So after I left Polly's lo and behold Cigar Empire in the same shopping area. Walk in humidor. Sitting area with a flat screen tv. Danny recommended La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Reserva. Outstanding stick. Good smoke before hitting the road again. read more

We love this place! My husband has expensive taste and this place in particular has a nice high end selection in addition to the normal amenities and a cigar lounge in back. I bought a nice lighter for Christmas. Sam is sweetheart... Very few stores carry my brand of cigarillos he ordered them for me and always has them here for me read more

Great selection and owner was very helpful can't wait to go back. A pretty huge selection of cigars and great vibe.

Anytime I'm driving on 91 by Yorba Linda, and low on supplies "cigars" I good see Danny! He is always fully stocked of quality brands and most important my Favorite Arturo Fuentes! Super friendly always makes you feel welcomed! Thanks Al O read more

I understand my boyfriend & I are perhaps not the most classy looking people in the world. But on that note, we aren't trashy! We're just normal looking people in our early 20s & we tip well! How is it we always get half ass service, or ignored? In desperate need of a cigarette after gorging myself at Mimis we walked over to Cigar Empire to get ourselves a pack. Sitting around the counter were three men playing cards. The dealer (and my guess the owner of this establishment) didn't even look up from his cards or smile at us when we entered. We were the ONLY people in there other then the poker buddies. They continued there card game and conversation without so much as taking notice of us. We stood there for awhile unhelped ,or acknowledged for that matter, until we took our business elsewhere. They have a good selection of Cigars and only fancy cigarettes. If that's your thing I'm sure they have it, but take your business somewhere where it's appreciated not to these A-holes. read more

This is my neighborhood Cigar Shop. I go there any time I feel the need to man up. Usually some Bro bonding time with BBQ, Beer and Cigar does the trick for me. Although the necessity to "Man up" is very seldom for me.... the service and the product that Cigar Empire provides are top notch and I always get treated like I am a regular there. The cigar selection is huge considering the size of the place. You can find most of the top ends as well as a good selection of more affordable products. read more

What a great place to come and get a cigar. And an even better place to stay and smoke one. Danny, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable. And his recommendations are spot on! He just doesn't steer you into the most expensive cigar. He asks questions, listens, then makes a recommendation based on what your answers are. And if you stay a smoke one, it's an equally pleasurable experience. The regular customers are great people and will provide a stimulating conversation. Do yourself a favor, and go see Danny for all your cigar needs! read more

I love this place. Have been to many factory/chain stores over the years, they are boring. Cigar Empire is owned by "Danny," a sole proprietor and entrepreneur. Selection is very good most of the time. I feel like Danny gives very personal service; he wants to know what you like AND WHY you like it, and takes the time to challange you to like something you may not think about. I fell in love with 80% of everything he advocated. That is a great scorecard! Can't explain the bad review. read more

Danny is the man! I was recommended to the Empire by a friend on my second day working in Yorba Linda, and I'll keep going back until my last. The selection is outstanding, as is the knowledge that Danny brings to the table. Try one of his "House" sticks, you won't be disappointed. read more

Interested in a fine cigar or maybe a new cigar lighter of humidor...look no further. This is a wonderful shop with a VERY friendly and help owner (Danny). Want information and knowledge, he's the man. Danny will spend time talking with you about cigars and load you up with great info. He may also just discuss the latest news or whatever you care to talk about. Light up a fine cigar and spend time with local friendship at the Cigar Empire. As far as the low rating I just noticed, it difficult to understand. Sounds like someone in a very bad mood. Try a cigar at the Cigar Empire and best if you judge for yourself. I think you'll come away very pleased! read more

Great selection of Smokes staff is very knowledgeable and always has my Rocky Patel's.

Service with a smile and a great selection of cigars from the highest end to reasonably priced. Very nicely furnished, like a cigar shop should be. We gather there and hang out and smoke cigars. In addition, once a month or once every other month, they have cigar events where you can get great deals. Ask the owner, Danny, to get onto his mailing list so you can find out about the events. These events are catered with great food and drinks, free of charge!! Go in and enjoy. read more

I've been an avid cigar smoker for 12 years now and I won't buy my cigars anywhere else.
