This is a great old fashioned cigar and pipe shop. I don't know why he doesn't sell cigarettes but to each their own. He is very conscious of maintaining a sophisticated clientele with a membership only lounge with mailboxes/ keepsake boxes in the back. read more

A 3 Star store with 1 Star service. Stopped by for the first time to purchase a Cigar. The selection of premium cigars is modest and the large selection of low end cigars were over priced. When I selected my cigar I asked if I could use a cutter and lighter, which the owner was happy to provide. I paid, cut the cigar and as I lit up I was told I couldn't smoke it there. I can appreciate clubs wanting to rent lockers and charge memberships; in fact I have two, but I'd have expected the offer of a day pass or minimum purchase or at least a warning before I bought the cigar that I wouldn't be able to smoke there. I went to Cigar Empire for the first time yesterday. I'm not a huge cigar smoker, and I really only smoke them once or twice every few months, but my friends and I are on our way out of town this weekend for some wine tasting, and what better thing to compliment that than some delicious cigars? I thought the place would be a bit roomier, but it's got a quaint feel to it. There are a few seats to relax, drink a beer, smoke a cigar, but when I say "a few" I mean exactly 3. You won't be bringing a party in here, but it's a nice escape from home for an hour long cigar. The owner (I presume) was a seemingly East Coast guy, but when I asked him he said he was a local. He had the right "feel" for a cigar shop salesman, and when I told him I was a novice, he was super helpful. He pointed me to affordable cigars (I suspected as most businessmen would that he'd suggest expensive, but he didn't), and then asked me to buy the house blend for myself. He was able to guide me well based on a few questions he asked me, he was super friendly, and I felt zero pressure to buy anything that I didn't want. If you're buying cigars, go here. I understand my boyfriend & I are perhaps not the most classy looking people in the world. But on that note, we aren't trashy! We're just normal looking people in our early 20s & we tip well! How is it we always get half ass service, or ignored? In desperate need of a cigarette after gorging myself at Mimis we walked over to Cigar Empire to get ourselves a pack. Sitting around the counter were three men playing cards. The dealer (and my guess the owner of this establishment) didn't even look up from his cards or smile at us when we entered. We were the ONLY people in there other then the poker buddies. They continued there card game and conversation without so much as taking notice of us. We stood there for awhile unhelped ,or acknowledged for that matter, until we took our business elsewhere. They have a good selection of Cigars and only fancy cigarettes. If that's your thing I'm sure they have it, but take your business somewhere where it's appreciated not to these A-holes. read more

This is my neighborhood Cigar Shop. I go there any time I feel the need to man up. Usually some Bro bonding time with BBQ, Beer and Cigar does the trick for me. Although the necessity to "Man up" is very seldom for me.... the service and the product that Cigar Empire provides are top notch and I always get treated like I am a regular there. I love this place. Have been to many factory/chain stores over the years, they are boring. Cigar Empire is owned by "Danny," a sole proprietor and entrepreneur. Selection is very good most of the time. I feel like Danny gives very personal service; he wants to know what you like AND WHY you like it, and takes the time to challange you to like something you may not think about.
