Besides the random homeless fools and the random yelling coming from the 7-eleven parking lot....from drunk retards in the middle of the night, Id say this 7-eleven is decently ran. The employees/owners can be cold, but I think that is just the way they are. It is well lit even at night and they did some remodeling recently so it looks a little better inside. Wish they would re-do the exterior because it looks outdated. A more modern front/face would enhance the streets appearance. It can get busy from time to time. The parking lot is enough, but can get crammed. At least they always have freshly brewed coffee and some pretty tasty snacks. Not that I eat here all the time, but every so often, I like to "shop" at 7-eleven.....lol. They have a lot of things one would need. It is like a mini-grocery store.....sometimes I get surprised when I go there in hopes that they have what I need......and they usually do. So if they dont have what I need, I get surprised.

That means parking is a pain in the butt. There is a parking lot behind the offices, but Mon-Fri the prices are absurd. If you want to check it out, I would recommend street parking or come during the weekend when the parking lot is free! Actual coffee spot is very clean and well decorated. It's easily a place where you can spend hours if you manage to grab a table. Great place for conversation, hangouts or work. Service is great. Because the store is small, the employees are either pumping out drinks during busy hours or getting creative with their time when it's slow. They seem to enjoy what they do which makes the experience better. Coffee is solid and they have quite an interesting list of combinations available.

The cashier was super friendly, offered detailed descriptions of the drinks, and can definitely help you decide on your order if you are unsure of what to get. The parking is street parking with a meter, but you can definitely park at a nearby public lot and walk a bit! My reason for deducting a star is because the drinks themselves were a bit bland. We ordered the iced Aurora Latte and the Raspberry Hibiscus Tea. The Aurora Latte had too much milk and I couldn't really taste the coffee itself, and the Raspberry Hibiscus Tea was watered down. I would come back for the ambiance, but not necessarily for the beverages themselves (it's possible that other items on the menu are good and we just got unlucky with our order!).

We ordered the bouquet burrito and chilaquiles. Food came out fairly quickly, and they even package your food in a to-go box in case you have leftovers to take home. Parking is a real struggle, very limited lot, so be prepared to circle around or park in the nearby residential area and walk. Drinks: I ordered the White Chocolate Lavender latte, sweet and floral, but my husband found it too sugary. He got the Black Heart latte, which he said was strong and bold, though I could barely taste anything in it (probably because my drink was so sweet, it killed my palate!). So maybe order based on your sweetness tolerance. Food: We shared a butter croissant, which was just okay, my husband called it "plain," and I'd agree. Nothing special. Seating: The inside was packed, but we managed to grab a spot at a long communal table. They do have a few outdoor seats too if you prefer fresh air. Overall, it's a cozy spot with a cool interior, but come with patience for parking and know your drink order might lean extreme one way or the other. We'll probably give it one more try with different drinks.

They make daily, from-scratch pastries in small batches, ranging from mochi donuts, butter croissants, and custard-filled donuts to fresh baguette sandwiches, salads, and tons of drink selections like fresh juices, mineral waters, and lattes. The service is super friendly and incredibly fast. The system is so fun and easy: you just walk in, grab a tray and a pair of tongs, handpick your desired pastries, and head to the front. You can eat there or take them to go in a box. If you order a sandwich, they can heat it up on-site for you so you get a cheesy, warm, toasty meal. For this visit, we tried: World Cup Special Donut: A custard-filled donut topped with chocolate and shaped like a soccer ball in honor of the World Cup going on right now. The egg custard filling was so addictive and creamy--absolutely amazing! Almond Croissant: Stuffed with almond paste, covered in buttery, toasted almond slices, and dusted with powdered sugar. The flavor was fantastic! The inside could have been just a tiny bit more moist, and I always wish for more of that delicious almond filling, but it was still extremely flavorful. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Sitting outside is especially nice since you're facing busy Ventura Boulevard, making it a perfect spot to shade-sit and people-watch. Plus, it's located in a great shopping plaza, so there's plenty of parking. My only critique is that it is definitely a little overpriced, making it more of a "once-in-a-while" treat rather than a daily habit. Still, it's a truly fantastic spot if you want high-quality, fresh-baked bread and pastries~~~

They use Onyx (from what i noticed), and the sound of the milk being steamed sounded silky (-: ! The layout of the cafe is nice: entry/line formation moves in a counter clockwise motion. Allows customers to enter space and wait in line while leaving space for people to exit/ wait to pick up their drink. First come, first serve for pastries - expect this for freshness purposes. Drink and their components are measured for consistency and quality control. Wait is subjective in relation to volume at the time which you go. Came in at about 1:30 PM on a Sunday (today was 8/16). Curated menu for their specialty drinks that aligns with their identity. Standard menu for espresso based beverages. Great selection for their Single Origin menu. Roasters they use align with those they highlight on their shelves for retail as a multi-roaster cafe. Ordered a Columbia from Hydrangea - enjoyed thoroughly! When it was still quite hot you get the heavy aroma and flavor of the pastry notes in the coffee. Then more tea-like once it cools down more. Coldbrew in the Woodman did not feel like your typical bold-in-flavor base. Which I think works for the inclusions in the beverage. Not your typical/second wave coffee shop. It's cool to see shops want to bridge that gap between fun drinks and specialty coffee! Kudos to Lynx!

It was 7:58 a.m., and I stopped in to grab my usual coffee before my appointment next door. I accidentally left my wallet at home, my Apple Pay wasn't working, and the only cash I had was a $100 bill. My total was only $8.50. I even offered a simple solution--I asked if another employee could pay for my coffee and I would immediately Zelle them the money. All three employees told me that was "beyond their job duties" and refused to help. Instead, they pointed to the sign stating they don't accept $100 bills and had me leave without making any effort to accommodate a regular customer. The disappointing part isn't that they couldn't break a $100 bill--it's that no one showed even the slightest willingness to help find a solution. I come here almost every Friday because I have appointments at the salon next door, and after this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. A little kindness and customer service go a long way. Unfortunately, I found neither here.
