Walt from Walt's Adventures doing a special review of the 7-11 on Olivera Rd in Concord, California. I implore you to read why this business received 1 star of 5. I am unable to give it zero. Walt's Adventures is a result of myself and my troupe, which includes family and close friends, and usually accompanies me to several locations. We adventure forth to different places and review them for the benefits of others. One of my troupe members, on one particular day, entered this establishment. Not soon after entry, as reported, was he then verbally accosted by the clerk behind the counter. The accusation of theft was the topic of conversation. Naturally, the member denied the questioning; as he should have done so. I, Walt, can personally vouch for his integrity. The clerk had him empty the contents of his pockets to ensure security. Moments later, the troupe member decided that he was no longer going to exchange his currency with this vender but, instead, went elsewhere where his business would be more accepted. This entrusted member happens to be black. No doubt he was profiled. It is a shame that this vender's success, as it has been decided, will rely on funds excluding the black population. Even though our currency remains the same across all Americans, this establishment's values remain in the past. I trust that this particular 7-11 will save everyone's time and energy but placing a sign on their door that states 'We have the right to accost without warning.' If by some chance this clerk was not the owner, then I trust that they will embrace the true nature of business and replace this clerk with one who does not exclude races but, instead, embraces business itself. In the meantime, I will never set afoot on these premises for I am not a bigot but, instead, have a nature that embraces equality for all. read more

If i could give it no stars I would........I would like to say the service here is a hit and miss, today I my child went here to order food and drink, the Man at the counter coned her out her money and when I tried calling to speak with someone no one answered but they're either on or answering the phone. For them to do a child in that manner is diabolical and absolutely ridiculous. read more

I rate this a 4 mainly because the flavors at the slurpee machine were average and the best flavor wasn't even available. But it was still a quick and good slurpee stop, recommend after a long day of disc golf in the sun. read more

Not a terrible 7-11. This visit Im not understanding why there are such low ratings. The area gives it away though. With Taco Bell right there we were able to slide right over to a 7-11. So convenient! There's so many other things in the little shopping center it's in also. Just note it's fairly packed & it sounded like someone was crashing into something with a door of some sort repeatedly. So not the best area whatsoever lmao. Great Service. I ordered candy,chips, pretzels, Cheesy hot Cheetos so good Big Gulp and a tall can of Soda. I had cravings Lol oh and caramel popcorn. Now ill be good for a year on junk foo. I will be using 7-Eleven. More Often. For a lot of products they carry. read more

When I try to order , an Indian guy was talking on his cell ph by earphone and wearing the blue gloves and touching the phone screen. When I order chicken wings he didn't wash hand and change the gloves , took the chicken wings by his hand and putting in paper bag while he keep talking on ph. I suddenly told him to stop and I said I change my mind because of you didn't change your gloves after using your ph , especially in pandemic time. He throw the chicken bag into the hot case and talk to the ph again. I will never by food again from this store for the sake of my health. He doesn't look like knowing basic food safety knowledge. read more

Quality has improved greatly. Owner is always cleaning, I go in 3-5 times a week and someone is always cleaning or sorting products. The owner was able to source some of my favorite chips and snacks a few days after I asked about them. Their selection is good especially for their size. The owner and employees are always very friendly and lend a hand when they can.(I've seen them on multiple occasions help those in need get food) The single star reviews are unwarranted. Great people doing great work. Keep in mind, this is a family business, and when you see them, they may have been working 10+ hours with little to no breaks. To the owner, Thank you for serving your community tirelessly and taking care of those in need even when you don't get the recognition or respect you deserve. You leave a positive impact on my day and that's why I keep coming back. I can get chips anywhere but I can't get the good vibes just anywhere. To the 1 star reviewers: I see a lot of complaints that seem like you expect a white glove treatment all hours of the day. Have you ever written a positive review? My nearest store, very convenient. The area for it tends to have some homeless or loud people out front, but its clean. The staff is all good, except one guy, hes a rude dude, always on his phone while cashing out my things, dont reply back much to hello or have a good day. Around 3pm or 4pm therea is a lot of traffic due to the one lane road and the school next door, other than that though it's a good stop. read more

I'm normally not one to complain, but for some odd reason, the night crew lately has been insisting the $1.20 CRV charge on a small bottle of Redline energy drink (CRV should never be more than 10¢) was correct. I asked the cashier multiple times why the total came up to $5.33 for a $3.69 item, but he brushed it off, even asking his supervisor, who seemed to side with his employee. I explained to them carefully that the total should be around $4 with tax and CRV, and that on a previous night another cashier realized the error and corrected it, but this cashier simply scanned the item again and replied, "$5.33" and shrugged. Needless to say, I refused to be ripped off and walked out. If the "customer is always right", they never received that memo. This particular store will never receive my business ever again. I happened to be in the area & stopped by the 7 Eleven. I have been going to/enjoying my local 7 Eleven 3-4 times each week for a decade now. The young Asian woman at the cash register was extremely rude. I simply questioned about the pricing of that which I was purchasing; it was 25% more expensive than my local 7 Eleven just 15 minutes away. She became angry & asked me to not come back again. The young Indian kid who works there over night is sooooo rude. Every time I go in there I always say hi but he's too busy talking on his phone to ever say anything. Recently I went in and there was 8 taqueria all under the "jalapeño and cream cheese" so I asked him "are all those just jalapeño and cream cheese?" I was surprised there was so many one just 1 flavor, and he didn't say anything so after awkwardly weird silence he stopped talking on his phone and said annoyed "what do you want?" And I said "are all those just jalapeño and cream cheese?" Of course he didn't answer my question he just went back to talking on the phone and started packing up all the taqueria. After grabbing a Dr Pepper cream soda and chips he tried ringing me up for all the taquitos and I told him " I didn't want those I was just wondering what flavor they where" he then asked me why I had him box them up I was dumbfounded. If he wasn't on his phone he could probably understand my English. Other times I've tried being nice to him and he always ALWAYS rude. Asked him if he knew what time it was, all he could do was point to his right, so I look over at the display of the hot food he was pointing at, and I said "no I don't want hot food I was just wondering if you possibly have the time" so he walked over to the wall and points at the clock that's on the wall without saying a word. So I say "oh sorry didn't know you where pointing at the wall it looked like you where pointing at the thing next to you" (which he was) and all he does is just stare at me in irritation. One day I went in with a friend of mine but I went in a few minutes before my friend did. Went in and I did the same thing, say hello when I went in of course he doesn't say a word, after I bring all my stuff up to the counter I ask him "how's your night going boss?" Of course he doesn't say anything, after the purchase I say "have a good night boss" of course he doesn't say anything just looks at me all annoyed. So I asked him "why don't you have any customer service, why do you always stare at me like youre upset at me?" Of course he doesn't say anything so I say "well I hope you have a better night dude" and go outside well he doesn't realize my friend was still in there shopping and heard the Indian kid say "stupid bitch". He's lucky that place is filled with cameras. Tell him to learn the meaning of good customer service and to stop being on his phone. Easy to get to. Not far from freeway entrances. However, the coffee bar is always a mess. It is filthy. This is constant!!! The coffees are always empty. The cafe machines always need filling. This store is so dirty. Would be a great place to go if it were kept up. I think they need to hire someone to keep it up if they are so busy doing other things!!! read more

The person Chris R. mentioned is still working at the Olivera Road 7-Eleven in Concord. His is still very rude and always talking on his phone while dealing with customers. He regards questions as an interruption of his personal phone calls. During this Covid-19 fiasco, he poured me a cup of coffee, then used his gloved fingers to snap open the lid, right where I'd put my lips, after handling people's money, the counter and the cash register. I objected and asked for another lid and told him I don't want it open so it can spill in my car. When I went to pay, he started getting an attitude and raising his voice at me. I came here with my friend to get some slurpies because today is a beautiful day and actually warm enough to get one without going into shock from being so cold. So we thought this would be fun to get on our way for a day out. I walked to the door and immediately got whiff of an odor that smelled like 3 week old boiling hot dogs and mildew and sweet smelling mold. I was hoping that when I went in it would go away. You know, maybe it was a trash can or gutter outside or something... Sadly I was wrong. The moment the door opened and I began to walk through I was overwhelmed by a foul stick in the back of your throat odor 10xs stronger than the odor preview outside the door. I tried to bare through it, but two steps in and I knew I was going to throw up if I didn't get out of there. I ran outside puked by our car and waited for him to get his slurpy. He finally came out with a look that screamed nausea and disgust. Needless to say we complained about the smell for 30 minutes while gulping down the slurpies. All the while wondering if we were willingly poisoning ourselves through the slurpies. read more
