What a great new restaurant/bar in Fredonia. 64 On The Rocks is conveniently located right next to the fire station and most importantly: open on Mondays! When all of the restaurants we typically dine at were closed, we thought we'd check out 64 On The Rocks and we're certainly glad we did! For starters, I ordered the Hike cocktail (raspberry Skyy vodka, peach schnapps, raspberry liqueur, cranberry juice, and garnished with berries). We also ordered the "Bacon Bucket" (extra thick-cut bacon with maple sriracha dipping sauce), Beer Battered Onion Rings, and 18 wings (half BBQ and half hot) with an order of Waffle Cut Sweet Potato Fries... Diet starts now, hah! The service was great. We sat in the back patio area which is really, really nicely done. I love the firepit and all of the bushes. Everything came out promptly, our server was attentive, and COVID precautions were in-place and followed. Reasonable prices and truly a nice place, especially for a college town. I've been there twice now. Got the wings the first time and I asked for extra hot (not on menu) and they came out the way I like them. Got the nacho stack both times which were very good both times and the pulled pork on them was a highlight. On my second visit we got the beef on weck and the turkey bacon sandwich which I believe is called the cowboy. See pics, enormous sandwich on a toasty roll and I could only eat half. Just updating my review because I am surprised and saddened at the service we received tonight (I wrote this last week and was not sure if I should post). It took our waiter 10 minutes to say hello and take our drink order. No big deal, he is busy and the restaurant is busy. We then waited 20 additional minutes for our drinks and to order dinner. In that time my wandering eyes caught kitchen staff sampling on food going out and masks not being worn. The only reason I am giving four and not three stars in my update is I really hope this review is looked at and changes are made. This place is new and they have really renovated the interior. The atmosphere is nice and they have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating at the back of the restaurant even has a fireplace which is very nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating. My friends that I went with had the $4 margaritas because we went on a Monday and they were great! I am vegan so I did not have many options here other than the veggie burger. I ended up getting it and I was so glad because it was amazing! Probably the best veggie burger I have had at a restaurant. The fries were okay. I asked for hot sauce on the side and the waitress gave me a sizable little cup of hot sauce for no extra charge! Overall great dining experience and I will definitely be back again. read more

We ate here a few times. The the atmosphere is great. My husband is obsessed with the chicken fingers here. Me, I tried the pulled pork sandwich. My husband had the cowboy a second time. My second time I had the Pittsburg salad with chicken(this was one of the better Pittsburg salads that I have had. I don't prefer home cut fries, which they come with, but these were tasty! My only complaint is you can see that they are still working out kinks in waiting tables. I had two glasses of Prosecco, my husband had two beer. Both of us would have easily went for a third if the waitress was a bit more on top of it. None the less, service has always been friendly and with a smile. Will be back soon!!!!! read more

Beautiful new place in the location of the old Caboose. Great layout with open doors and patios both front and rear. Sat on the front patio for lunch and watched pedestrians as we had lunch. Great downtown area. My wife had a burger with pulled pork, onion rings, bacon etc. it was enormous, took most of it home but it was delicious, served with a side of straight cut fries. I had Tex Mex burger on the waitresses suggestion and it was awesome. Served with a side of the addictive straight cut fries and a dill pickle spear. I ate every bite. We started with a bacon appetizer that had 4 thick slices of bacon with a maple dipping sauce, fantastic. I'll come here every time I'm in the area from this point on, well done! read more

This is a sports bar & grill with 16+ screens (if you're into that). It's located in a small business area of town. There is plenty of outdoor seating and easy parking. It has a warehouse/industrial feel. High ceilings, booths and tables, and lots of space to social distance. Beautiful bar! The menu offers just enough variety for everyone to find something they like; typical bar food with a twist . We enjoyed a family friendly lunch after visiting our son's senior art exhibit at a Fredonia (so proud!) just down the road. Our son was actually the one who recommended this place. My husband got the "squealing cow" which was a thick burger topped with a healthy portion of pulled pork. Served very hot; he said he needed a partner to eat this much meat! I got the Pittsburgh salad with steak, greens, cheese and fries (all "on" the salad)! The meat on both our plates was char grilled with care, which gave it that crispy, juicy and smoky flavor with little need for sauces. We both chose IPA beers from a good assortment. The kids were happy were their chicken fingers, lemonade and fries. The fries are fresh cut potatoes with skins, fantastic! The fingers were a little over cooked (but the kids didn't seem to mind). Prices were reasonable. The only thing that made us almost leave before we sat down was the volume of the music playing. Classic rock playing at a "happy hour" level when it was only lunchtime. It made it difficult to chat. Just way too loud. But we decided to stay anyway, and my husband, teens and myself ended up really enjoying our visit. read more

Went for a lunch and had the worst service. Walked in the door, all staff was on their phones and had no idea we had walked in. After trying to get the attention for the bar tender multiple times, another couple at the bar had to get her attention for us. Our waitress brought out apps, drinks and food and didn't come over at any point other then that. No refills. No checking in. She was sitting at the bar on her phone and couldn't be bothered the entire time. Especially when we needed drinks. At one point, someone from the back pulled the two ladies that were working as a waitress and bar tender into the back for almost 15 minutes while others walked in and waited to be sat. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. We've been here twice. Once shortly after they opened and once a few weeks ago. The first time was very meh. Food was mediocre. Not seasoned. Not great service but edible. We decided to give them another shot because we figured they were a new restaurant and just getting into the swing of things.... The second time was AWFUL. I ordered a meatball sub. My boyfriend ordered a burger and we got the pretzel and cheese appetizer. (I've worked with people and in food service most of my life and for me to complain to a waitress or owner takes a lot. Because I know that regardless of how nice or gently you state your grievances, it ruines someone's day and makes things weird and tense so we are more of the "shut up and eat it anyway kind of people.) This was bad enough that I asked the waitress if we could speak to a manager. She didn't say, yes of course or sure if anything. She just turned around and walked away. I saw her walk to the kitchen and have a powwow with a few other people and they all looked back and gave me dirty looks. Finally one of the owners came by. I explained to him that my meatballs first, were so big that the sandwich was not able to be eaten as a sandwich. BIGGER DOES NOT EQUAL BETTER. When I asked the waitress for a knife and fork she took forever. I had to ask her twice. Once I was able to eat any of this meatball it was not seasoned, no flavor, very gummy and had hardly any meat flavor. Just filler/breadcrumbs. No amount of salt could save the taste and the texture was awful. I think I ate 1/3 of one meatball. My French fries were unseasoned and tasted like old fry oil. My boyfriend got a burger. He had the same complain about he fries but he was more so concerned that his burger had sand in it! We are assuming the lettuce must not have been washed. And it was a decent amount of sand, enough that some of it got on his fries and pickle as well. Our pretzel was very freezer burnt tasting, dry as hell. And the sauces they served with it, you couldn't tell which was cheese and which was mustard? They tasted like the smell of cat pee. It was wild! I was very gentle about stating what we were not satisfied with. We both hardly touched our food. We were still hungry. The owner told me that nobody complains about his food. Especially his meat balls. And that the kitchen doesn't have sand anywhere. He also told me that my taste buds just must be off today because no one else complained and again, he doesn't make bad food. He asked me what I'd like him to do because he won't give us the food for free because he fed us a whole meal and he's trying to run a business.... I had to laugh at him. We hardly ate any of our food! We were never offered the chance for the kitchen to make us something else. He offered us free drinks, which we politely declined because we came for food. Not alcohol. After some bickering back and forth and him being very rude, he said all he could do was take off the appetizer and give us 20% off... he handled it so poorly and unprofessionally. I paid my still $40 or so bill, tipped my waitress and left still hungry and $40 poorer. I could not believe this man would treat a customer like that. Not offer any apologies or even be nice to me! If it was just bad food, I wouldn't be writing this review. But it was bad food, bad service and an even worse owner. So here we are. Don't talk down to your customers. I think that should go without saying. I'm upset that this place will probably go on to operate because their ability to serve overpriced drinks to college kids. But if you're looking for a place to eat, this is not the place or the owner you want to support. read more

Horrible food, the atmosphere is so great but it is absolutely ruined by the trash over cooked meat. Food is always soggy and gross, drinks hardly have any alcohol. If this place gets new owners it might survive bc people will only come for drink and not their awful food. They should NOT call themselves a restaurant. The atmosphere here is pretty sweet. This will be a great hang out spot for townies and college students alike. Portions are enormous. If you go, get a burger that comes with fries do not get an appetizer or anything. You will not finish. Service was average. Volume of the music did make having a conversation hard. I would recommend turning that down when it's more dining hours vs bar hours. The biggest reason that this place gets 3 stars was the fact that they neglected to tell us the wings cost $4 more than the listed price on the menu. When we asked our server about it she cited the wing shortage causing increased costs. Which is whatever, I get businesses need to recoup those loses but at least notify your customer base prior to them receiving the check. Post it on a sign, have you host or server tell them when they set down menus or take orders. Print a temporary sticker to put over the prices. The options are plentiful. Just seemed a little sleazy to say nothing until the customer had to ask after receiving their check. read more

This was our 2nd visit. The first visit was a disaster (food took 1hr 45 min to come out). We decided to give it another try. Our server took our drink order promptly and brought our drinks out quickly. We ordered an appetizer and that came out pretty quick, too. The "runner" brought out our food and again it was very timely. From there we didn't see our server again until she brought us our check. We didn't get any silverware or napkins. She didn't check on us to see if the food was good or if we needed anything. Very much like our first experience there a few weeks ago. When she brought us our check she thanked us for our patience. Mind you, it wasn't busy. It's a shame as the restaurant has a nice ambience and the food, though not a huge menu, is good. Sadly, we will not be returning. read more

We did not receive our food until after 1 hour and 15 minutes! Our waitress only came over to the table once and didn't even tell us why the food was taking so long. Once the food came, I forgot how horrible the service and wait was because the food was very good. BUT!
