OMG !!! A truly magical experience! Me and the girls had an outstanding dinner tonight! I would highly recommend this place to everyone! The new chef is superb!! A must visit!! The entire staff is extremely polite and very professional! A dining experience you will not regret and remember forever! read more

Great food. Loved the atmosphere. Definitely needed a reservation. Service was good.

Been going here for years and years. Starting shortly after it opened. The place has become unorganized, the service has become slow and discombobulated , the portions have been cut just about in half as the prices have risen. My last meal here I had to actually go home and eat after eating my full meal, it's that skimpy. People will still come here over the summer because of Chautauqua, but don't let the crowds fool you, you'll have a sub-par meal at a full-pat price. read more

Unfortunately not a great experience. It was very hot in side. Our waitress was indifferent, never told us about the specials or filled water. The menu said Kim Crawford sauv blanc. The bill said it was Honig. The Buffalo Cobb salad was incredibley spicy, that should be a choice. Just a very mediocre experience.. read more

Not impressed. They handed out bread plates when we sat down and yet they were not offering bread tonight. At the table we had two BLT salads, Buffalo salad, and a burger. The steak on the BLT salads was just ok; not very flavorful. Thought the quality could've been better. The buffalo salad lacked a reasonable amount of chicken and (again) the salad was just ok. Also the spice was extreme and we were glad to have ordered it on the side. The kid at the table enjoyed his burger. read more

Our party arrived right on time for our 7:00 pm reservation and we're rudely told to wait with no apology, and we waited for 30 minutes before they sat us. It was extremely loud and hot so we waited outside. Once seated, we were all sweating bullets from how hot the restaurant was. We were told by our server they were out of scallops (which is why we came in the first place). Annoyed, the three of us wanting scallops ordered salmon. After an hour, our appetizer came (fried artichokes) and it was fine. 20 minutes later, they told us they were also out of salmon. We were pretty annoyed, it felt like our server didn't really care or maybe it was a normal occurrence. My dad got the pork chop and it was extremely dry. I got the seafood pasta and it was okay, nothing special. It was fourth of july weekend and we saw this american flag cake, of which THEY WERE ALSO OUT OF. Our server came by with the check claiming one of our meals was "comped" even though my MIL had only had the salad course of her meal and decided not to eat when they stated they were out of salmon. They gave us 15% off two of the other dishes that had to be reordered after the salmon debacle. We went to discuss with someone before leaving and were met by the owners' son. He was extremely rude to us, getting quite defensive when we were trying to tell him politely about our experience. His excuse was just that it was a "busy weekend"- which I would totally get if there was one or two issues instead of the plethora we had. Will absolutely never return or recommend this place. read more

I was referred to this like place by a friend. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this charming and delicious restaurant in the small town of Westfield. The food and service was excellent. I was a liked chilly sitting by the door on this chilly evening, but it was a very minor problem considering how delighted my husband and I were with our delicious meal. read more

Had a delicious meal over the holiday season when I was back east visiting family. The appetiser was fried artichokes hearts and a cup of white chili. My entrée was a tasty dish of short ribs, mushrooms, and pea pods. We had a friendly server and the space was cosy and comfy. I look forward to another visit when I'm on the east coast. read more

Where do I start? We arrived with our group exactly at reservation time. Music playing way too loud. The server greeted us and announced they are waiting on the bartender to show up. Thirty minutes later we get out first drinks. Mine was delivered wrong and two of the beers asked for they were out of after server trips back and forth. Success at the third beer choice! Food delivery time. One dish out of six was actually served warm. The other five dishes were lukewarm at best. Cold mashed potatoes, cold soup, cold rice and barely warm scallops. The steaks were all cold and not properly cooked. barely singed on both sides. The server pretty much disappeared for fifteen minutes making sending it back impossible. For what is billed as a "high end" restaurant this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I and the rest of our party have ever had. What the heck happened Brazills??? You were obviously not prepared to serve anyone at our reservation time. There were only two tables to be served at this time!!! read more

Traveled to NY from VA to see the solar eclipse. Very glad we wandered into Brazill's for dinner on Saturday night. We were lucky enough to get a table for two with no wait even though the dining room was obviously bustling. We started with cocktails: a Manhattan and a cosmo. Both were made very well. Strong but balanced. We had the calamari appetizer. The breading was light and crispy, and the calamari was tender and juicy. For entrees, husband ordered the T-bone special, and I had the braised short rib. Mine tasted like the most delicious pot roast served with green beans and veryyy satisfying mashed potatoes. Husband enjoyed his T-bone very much. But my favorite thing was the music playlist. I absolutely LOVE listening to Otis Redding, Etta James, Sam & Dave, and all the classics. It was a perfect evening with everything from service to ambiance, and of course the food, being just what we wanted! read more

Love this place! Food is high end, compared to any fine dining restaurant BUT it's casual, moderately priced , and great cocktails!

We have eaten here a few times and it was delicious. This time it wasn't, we were there this past Friday. Service was wonderful, my salmon was delicious but my husband got the angus strip steak and it was just warm and had a lot of fat throughout it. read more

Very good service and the food was perfect except my chicken finger soup could have been hotter.

One of the best appetizers polenta cake with lightly sauted scallops on top and micro greens all with a leek compote amazing

Stopped in for dinner after going to a few wineries and the food was delicious! We weren't starving but had the honey glazed salad and added salmon and it was great! We also tried the soup of the day which was a Philly cheese steak and super tasty. The staff was friendly and they take reservations which is always appreciated read more

Great atmosphere & awesome staff. Food was great. Reasonable priced. Would definitely come back

Nice ambiance, we were seated quickly and had a very sweet waitress. Had calamari for an appetizer- some of the best we've ever had, perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful. We both ordered the filets, they were good too. And then we discovered portage pie for dessert...oh my! read more

Ate here for a Friday night dinner- specifically for "First Friday's" ... a time when shops and other vendors have a table out on Main Street and people shop and eat. We were in the mood for some greens so we ordered the special they had for appetizers, roasted Brussels sprouts with Parmesan and we each ordered their steak salad. Wow wow wow- the Brussels were amazing , cooked perfectly and the cheese to top it off was niiiice. The salad was just as good - i HATE when restaurants slather their salads with dressing- which is why I tend to get the dressing on the side, but this time I forgot! To my pleasant surprise, it was the perfect amount of dressing (whew!) Everything we ordered was delish and the service was friendly. Portions were hefty- we didn't leave hungry! No room for dessert so can't say much there! I recommend this place! And MAKE A RESERVATION- it gets busy ! read more

Had just the best birthday dinner with my mom & family. Beautiful restaurant run by mom & son, old antique looking inside bc it's that kind of building in historic Westfield. Wood everywhere, nice bar. Dad recommends the pork chop ($23) so I ordered it. Big juicy chop cooked medium, delicate meat and flavors from the maple brine. Not sweet or anything just perfect. Sliced what, brined apples, too I guess. Great! Even the piping hot mashed potato & asparagus were perfect. Nice wine selection. Truly fine dining at CHQ & strongly recommended. This place is the North Pole in the winter, dress for success! Happy holidays! 5 stars easy. read more

Brazill's On Main - Wonderful maple brined pork chop $23 with mashed & asparagus. - American Near Me - Westfield, New York

Probably the best restaurant in Westfield. Attentive servers. I really enjoyed the linguine and the fried artichokes. Pretty good drink menu which covers a lot of bases. Comfy atmosphere. read more

The four of us had a fabulous meals. Saw some guests turned away, do best to reserve. I had steak and she had chicken. Priced reasonably for what we got, although some might find the prices high. Food coming out of the kitchen was leisurely slow. Wait staff was pleasant, but a little lax on refilling our empty beers and water. Ambiance is nice and while noisy, we could all hear each other. read more

Great food, service and ambiance! Look forward to a revisit soon. Had the salmon and short rib. Spectacular!

We visit Brazill's a couple times a year. We always look forward to our visit because they usually have fun specials for food and drinks. This time we enjoyed a the bacon wrapped shrimp with a siracha drizzle. My wife had the 5 and 20 braised short rib with mushrooms, cauliflower and mashed potatoes. The beef was tender and had a ton of flavor. I had the maple mustard glazed salmon with wild rice and cauliflower. The salmon was cooked nicely and the glaze added a really nice flavor. We had our son with us so we had to get dessert. They have a variety of pies form a local pie shop that we also frequent often. We had a piece of strawberry rhubarb and a piece of coconut cream. They were both very good. We may not be back this year but look forward to our next visit to Bascule. read more

Place is a little pricey, but has great food. Delmonico Steak for $45, steak was big and delicious. Also had the Scallops Risotto $28 very good. Tasty and delicious. Shrimp Cocktail was standard issue, big shrimp for $16. Bruschetta was a better option, very good. read more

This was not a welcoming establishment. We had a reservation. There is no greeter, so we walked to the bar to ask about seating. The bartender and a server told us to just stand at the door (literally stand blocking the entrance) Who would know this? The food was mediocre. The crowd is way to noisy and unruly for the investment. read more

This place is simply amazing! Great staff, service and ambiance every time we dine here! I love their limited menu which insures that your selection(s) will be prepared to perfection! Interesting menu using the finest locally sourced ingredients. I had the Maple brined grilled pork chop topped with sautéed apples and onions with a side of their wonderful mashed potatoes! One word FANTASTIC!! When in the Westfield area this is a MUST for dinner. Honestly some of the best food I have ever eating when dining out! read more

Absolutely fabulous experience. Excellent service . Definitely recommend a reservation in advance. We visited on a Saturday night without one and we're just able to squeeze in at the bar. A packed house is always a great sign! Our bartender took our orders quickly. He served our drinks and brought out bread and oil to snack on. He was working hard with a smile in his face the whole time. We ordered the braised short ribs with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. It was TO DIE FOR. I'm sure we looked like we'd never seen food before, the way we were shoveling in that savory deliciousness. The vibe is intimate and casual. Just very welcoming. Would definitely recommend. read more

Wild... I grade on a curve for Chautauqua County, but no curve needed for the most tender flat-iron steak I can remember. Corn soup had ample spice, but was well balanced and unexpectedly good. Last, the fried cheese curds surprised me by being far lighter than most. The one oddity (and it was far from bad) was that the dinner roll seemed out of place. I think I expected a more Italian or French take given the olive oil dip, but it was sweeter and lighter. Not bad, just unexpected. read more

A Main Street gem. Welcoming and relaxing, with a varied selection on the menu. We were passing through and enjoyed just what we needed -- a light, delicious dinner. The next day I could not find my credit card. When I called the to see if I had left it on the table, I was 500 miles away. The restaurant told me they were holding it for me, and then obligingly mailed it to my home! read more

Wandered in after needing food from too many wine tastings. Service was quick. Chef is serious. Very good high quality dishes. Bring a few extra bucks but we'll worth the cost. Reviews are weird with COVID-19, but definitely would go here again if and when things open back up. Ordered takeout and the folks were super friendly as I was an out of towner. Food was excellent. We had the parmesan baked Salmon and the special Cajun ribeye. They did not disappoint! The fried artichoke hearts were new to us and delicious. I would definitely recommend Brazill's to anyone hitting Westfield, NY. Thanks Brazill's !! read more

Went for early dinner. Fried Artichokes, stuffed mushrooms and the steak blt salad were delicious. Service was good. (Fried artichokes were our favorite) Saw bartender/waiter cleaning menus&other items between service. Only complaints- the menu online doesn't note that the sandwiches were for lunch only(we were more interested in those than dinner items) & the stuffed mushrooms- received only 3 small mushroom caps (price was$9- was a little high. 5-6 mushroom caps may have been more reasonable) I would go back next time I'm visiting. read more

I just had one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Flank steak cooked to perfection with what tasted like homemade maple bacon jam and just the right amount of Gorgonzola cream topping. Fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes as sides. read more

Had been a couple of years since our last visit - pre pandemic. Had a great experience then and again this time! Shared the Sausage and Spinach Stuffed Mushrooms appetizer. OMG! A flavorful explosion in the mouth and the four 'shrooms quickly disappeared. We both had the soup instead of salad (Asiago Broccoli?). A small cup was delicious and just the right size. My bourbon maple bacon jam, gorgonzola cream, Flat Iron Steak was awesome (you read the description right). Just a hint of maple and bacon with blue cheese goodness over a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak. My wife had the Pan Seared Sea Scallops, making constant "yummy noises" while consuming. She loved her Ginger Martini cocktail. My only, very minor, quibble was my house special Cosmopolitan cocktail. It was not as cold as I would have preferred, was a bit cloudy and had a bit of lime pulp in it. Not bad but not as perfect as the rest of our food and drink. Brazil's is not inexpensive but we highly recommend it! I'd vote for a Michelin Star, if that were possible :) read more

This restaurant is very cute and pretty upscale for Westfield. I was part of a group of 12 as a girls dinner for a friends bachelorette. We had reservations (books a few weeks ahead) and were seating right away when we arrived and our drink orders were taken pretty quickly. This is when the waiting started! Our waitress seemed stressed and although she was very pleasant, it was a slow dinner. It took awhile to even order our food and then a long time for salads. The one flatbread we ordered actually came out minutes before the salads for everyone else at the table. When dinner came, our salad plates were not taken away before the food came so there was an awkward amount of plates and not enough hands to do it all. The food was pretty good. I ordered the bacon wrapped steak and had a salad. I would give the food a 4, but the service was about a 2 1/2-3 considering this is one of the nicest restaurants in the area. Oh, they also never once asked if anyone wanted another round of their alcoholic drinks/wine/soda, and most of us would have! So we stuck with the water... and we also had to ask for the bread and butter while waiting, when we noticed other tables received it automatically with their drinks! read more
