One of the top spots was Wicked Warren's, which happened to be across the street from my hotel. In short, this was a great experience! I walked over on a Saturday around 5pm and upon entering, I was impressed how big it was inside! Plenty of tables and chairs and a large bar in the back with plenty of TVs playing all sorts of sports. Right at the entrance was the host station where I spoke to a pleasant, young woman. Since it was just me, she offered either a table or grabbing a seat at the bar, if one was available. Luckily, there were a few empty seats at the bar so I took one and enjoyed watching the bar staff working and chatted with other patrons! The bar staff were incredibly friendly, I could sense they were genuinely happy to be there and enjoyed chatting with the folks sitting at the bar! I'll be honest, this put me ease and relaxed me even more, or maybe it was the beer... haha I'm terrible with names, but I believe the gentleman who ended up taking care of me was Patrick - He was so personable, excellent customer service! I ordered their "Raz Beret" fruited wheat beer to sip on as I figured out what to order for dinner - Delicious, as it was a wheat beer, it had a great fruit-forward flavor without being puckeringly sweet like a fruited sour beer! It was pretty busy when I sat down but I need to say, the wait times were very reasonable! For dinner, I ended up ordering their Philly Cheesesteak Panuzzo with a side of chips and a pickle. What is a panuzzo you ask? A panuzzo is a sandwich made from pizza dough that's folded over and stuffed like a sandwich. The Philly Cheesesteak Panuzzo was their own fresh bake panuzzo bread filled with shaved sirloin steak on a garlic butter base with green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and white American cheese. This was phenomenal! The panuzzo was jam-packed with steak, veggies, and cheese and was plenty hot and tasted so fresh! The garlic butter base was brushed on the panuzzo bread, which left my fingers a little greasy, but it wasn't a big deal wiping my hands off. The chips were good, nothing extraordinary, but good! The panuzzo, side of chips, and a beer were plenty for my big appetite and I was perfectly satiated! I felt the price I paid for their own, locally made beer, and the fresh, high-quality ingredients and great portions were very reasonable. I really enjoyed my dinner at Wicked Warren's! The staff, the beer, the food, all of it was great! I don't make it down to Jamestown often, but next time I passthrough, I would definitely come to Wicked Warren's for dinner.

The sauce tasted similar to the Asian Zing at B-Dubs (sweet, yet tangy), and there was a generous portion slathered on the wings and these wings were superior to those we've had at B-Dubs. Honestly, these Jamestown wings hold their own against Buffalo city wings and at a slightly lower price point. The wings came with nice sized pieces of carrot and celery. Unlike Buffalo, where I understand you will be thrown out headfirst if you request ranch dressing, we were offered both ranch dressing and blue cheese. I'm not sure what dressing they use, but both were rich and bold tasting, as was the raspberry vinaigrette that my partner got with her entree. I recommend the dressings. We also ordered entrees - salmon burger (comes with side salad) and fish tacos (comes with fries). The salmon burger was very good. The fish tacos were nicely fried (crunchy outer coating with moist fish inside) with tomato and onion pieces sprinkled on top with a mild aioli. The fish tacos were fine. I've had better and I've had worse. I probably wouldn't get them again, but would the salmon burger. The fries with the fish tacos were fine. One issue that we had that really bothers me is that we ordered the wings and then asked the Staff to come back to take our entree order. She put the wing order in and a few minutes later we ordered our entrees. About 10 minutes later, she comes with the wings and the entrees, puts them on the table and apologizes that the kitchen screwed up and here's your food. I told her that this is something they really ticks me off - I specifically ordered the appetizer and waited to order the entrees to avoid this. She said she agreed and apologized again. A few minutes later, she came back and said she spoke to the manager and that they weren't going to charge us for the wings. There was so much food that came out at the same time that we asked to box up the entrees. Unfortunately, since we are staying at a hotel with a fridge, but no microwave, I expect that we will discard some of the food (cold fried fish and fries??!!). Anyway, I would have given 5 stars, but, although they deducted the appetizer from the bill, I think they only did that because I told them how much this annoys me. I don't get the impression they would take the appetizer off the price without a fuss. So, four stars. I really enjoyed the meal, though, even though much will likely be thrown away because of the app/entree fiasco. And, to be clear, our server (I think her name was Andrea) was very nice and friendly, and was sincerely apologetic for the kitchen's timing.

I ordered the fish and chips since it was highlighted in the menu. The order came out quickly, a huge batter fried fish fillet on top of a load of fries with side cups of tarter sauce and coleslaw. The fries and coleslaw were just what you expect, good but nothing special. The fish was outstanding, mild flaky white fish in a perfectly crunchy coating; delicious and very satisfying. My only complaint was that while it was nicely presented on a square plate, having the huge fish fillet on top of the fries made it difficult to eat since I had to move the fish around to get to the fries and cutting the fish with the fries underneath did not work well. I appreciate attractive food presentation is important, but this was too much food for the size of the plate. I really liked my dinner at Steener's, if they could raise the level of the side dishes to match the fried fish this would be truly exceptional.
