Service was great! The girl working there was super helpful and kind. She knew a lot about wine and was super friendly and warm. The wines we tried were all good, we ended up purchasing 3 bottles here. The tasting experience was nice and they give you some pretzels with the tasting. The space was very nice- pretty and open- big room/area. My only complaint was fruit flies! We moved to another table because we thought it was just the table. There was like 10 of them swarming us and it made the experience uncomfortable as my fiance was swatting at them lol. We still had a good time and laughed, and the wine was still good- not sure what they could do to get rid of those pesky flies read more

We headed out yesterday to scout out new filming locations and we came across this amazing hidden little gem. Just right off the main highway we slid over as this one caught our eye. We are so glad we stopped. We were immediately waited on and our tastings began. Everything from delicious red wines to succulent whites they have you covered here. Their barrel room is absolutely gorgeous and this place we highly recommend. They do require reservations for any parties over 6 so they can provide you with the best service. So I tried this winery over a weekend getaway. I went to Erie, PA to visit my sister and attend the Niners vs Steelers game. Might I say go Niners, haha. Anyways, back to the wine and experience. The owner was great, she told us a little about history of the winery. What really attracted me to try this place was the UnEven Keel. Flights were a great price, $5.00 per flight. Don't get too excited they were small sample cups. I guess I am used to the regular glass wine momento. But for $5 a flight I am not complaining. The winery was nice and quiet as I went in on a Monday. Very cute place. Needless to say I can home with 4 bottles of different wine and a great experience. Cheers read more

Beautiful, cute little outdoor space with lots of flowers. They also have a few food items for sale here. I got the bruschetta which was just OK. They don't have pre-selected flights here so you can choose your own. You order your wine and food and then can carry it out to the patio. The Chocopelli, which is red wine infused with dark chocolate, was very interesting! I could probably only drink a glass or so as a dessert, but I liked it. I didn't see anything else like this on our wine tour. read more

Arrived at Courtyard Winery as the last stop on our family's celebration of our parent's 50th wedding anniversary. Every other winery we had visited that day were amazing and truly celebrated right along with us. As soon as we walked into courtyard we were greeted by an unbelievably unwelcoming woman/Karen behind the tasting bar whose first words to our party of 7 was that we needed to be quiet. We all stood there for a moment in an uncomfortable huddle in shock. The 2 woman behind the bar then left and disappeared leaving us with no service. It wasn't like we were a group of young crazy 20 somethings. We were there with our 70+ yr old parents and the other 5 of us are running close to 50 yrs old. It wasn't a difficult decision to load back into the limo and head to another venue. Truly this was the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. If you're looking for good time with a group our suggestion is to avoid Courtyard Winery at all cost!!!!!!! Its truly no wonder every other winery we visited was packed with people while courtyard was virtually dead inside. read more

After a few hours of taking my son to the Lake Shore Railway Museum that is also in North East, mommy wanted a bit of fun too. We stopped by Courtyard Wineries and me and my Aunt who was also visiting from out of state (me from Chicago and my Aunt from Dallas) wanted to just peruse the winery. The area is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by grape orchards. As soon as I saw a wine called Chocopelli( I am a chocolate fiend) and it was only $3.00 for 6 tastings, I decided me and my Aunt had to do the wine tasting. Anthony at Courtyard Wineries was so knowledgable and friendly. He definately knew his wines. I loved, absolutely loved the Mechant Wine as did my Aunt. My 9yr old son didn't leave empty handed. He got a box of pulakos chocolates that is also sold there. My sister is getting married next year and looking forward to coming back to the area and visiting Courtyard. read more

One of the new wineries in the area. We had two friendly pourers. They have a dry wine tasting area and a sweet wine area. That was good for my wife and me - I prefer the dry and she prefers the sweet. They did have some decent dry reds that I liked - a Lemberger and a Noiret. The building that it is housed in has gone through many changes - I remember when it was a Lamborghini tractor dealership. It was also an office supply store. read more

The young man (I feel bad I can't remember his name because he was great) who did our tasting was nice enough to bring over dry samples for my mom to the sweet tasting bar. Great experience!!! There is no better wine. My husband and I have tried so many different wines from this producer. Red, white, blushes, and each and every one is exceptional. We didn't find a wine we didn't really enjoy. Every time we have friends over, we open a bottle of Court Yard wine and everyone always enjoys it. Not only are the wines wonderful, I love that there is absolutely no headache the next day. None. Courtyard has a wine for everyone. We shop at the Ross Park mall store and we love that we are able to taste as many as we like. It's helped us select wines that we are now, completely devoted to. You wont go wrong with this label. Since discovering this wine, I've never purchased another brand and I don't have any reason too. Excellent! read more

Years ago I was at a wine tasting event near Erie Pa killing time until the next water polo meet at the local college. I fell in love with Courtyard's wines. I brought a couple bottles back to Texas, ordered some for my daughter who lived in San Diego at the time and she fell in love with their wine as well. This past Christmas I ordered additional choices along with my usual ones. Each bottle was a good as the last and so exciting to have found a new wine that is consistant with pleasant aromas and flavor. I cannot say now that I have a favorite because I have not opened one I have not absolutely loved. Some of the choices were, 2015 Chambourcin, Great Lakes Beach Glass White,Lazy Daze,2018 Sassy Blue,Twisted Red and Chocopelli (my favorite). Courtyard is a secret hidden treasure to me. Although we were the only people in the tasting room at the time of our visit, we had heard from Anthony (stellar service, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable) that they were quite busy earlier in the day. I loved the unique setup of two different tasting bars, one featuring the traditional dry wines of the LaCourette brand, while the other tasting bar featured sweet wines of the Barjo Bons ("Sweet friends") brand. The dry tasting bar was set up very formally while the sweet tasting bar had neon lights and a more relaxing "wine bar"-like atmosphere. In the tasting, you can mix and match between the two bars which is exactly what we did. At the dry bar, we sampled the Cabernet Sauvignon which was dry with a nice oaky aromatic flavor, the Vignoles which was fruity with hints of pear and peach, and the Riesling which was semi-dry with hints of grapefruit and honey. At the Barjo Bons sweet tasting bar, I sampled the Sassy Blue, which is made with crushed blueberries and was my favorite of the sweet wines we sampled, the White Lies, which was a sweet white blend and I found it to be very light, and the Chocopelli, which was the perfect way to end our tasting! I have not had a nice chocolate flavored wine before, but this was quite tasty! They also have a nice outdoor patio to take advantage of during the nice weather months. I would highly recommend stopping into this unique tasting room when you are on the Lake Erie Wine Trail! read more

This was my wife and my first trip to the Lake Erie Wine Trail and the Courtyard Winery was by far the best out of the ones that we stopped at. It has a great atmosphere and plenty of wines to choose from. Anthony greeted us as soon as we walked in and made us feel very welcomed. Being from Upstate New York, we have been on many wine tours around the Finger Lakes but have never spent as much time at one winery than we did at Courtyard. Went to this winery for the Harvest wine festival. This is by far the best winery in the NorthEast wine country trail. They have two bars, one for the dry wine and one for the sweet wine. The retail store area is very large and well kept. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the prices are reasonable for the quality/taste! Must go! read more

They answer e-mails quicker than any business I have ever dealt with and make sure all your questions are answered. As a bride to be, you want to be sure every detail is covered and may feel a little anxious...the entire staff at Courtyard made sure I was taken care of. Enjoyed our visit. Our tour guide Anthony was very friendly and a cool host. He taught us bout their wines. We spent our time tasting the dry wines both reds and whites. Their Noiret was a dry red with bold robust fruit flavors and strong peppery finish. Very nice. The Captain's Red was a dry red Cab Franc blend and an interest blend of sensations, at first sharp on the tongue then mellowed as you work thru the class. This wine was developed in conjunction with Relish Jewelries for the Beach Glass festival and is a sure winner. The gift shop had plenty of wine related gifts . Make this place a visit next time you are out in the North East PA area. read more

My husband and I love the new Courtyard Winery. I stopped in on a whim one day and fell in love with their chocolate wine. My husband loves the Lemberger. It is much better than other local wineries version of Lemberger. We visit often. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
