This was our last stop on our self-made tour of six wineries in North East. The service was good, but it is probably the least picturesque place that we visited. They did mention an outdoor space where they have concerts and events at night, and it sounded really pretty. They said they have lights hanging and they build a fire. If we were staying for a couple more days, we would have probably gone the next night to listen to some live music. You choose your own flight here and they have buy 5 get the 6th one free. They serve the flights on a light blue plastic plate, which a wooden paddle like the other wineries would give it a more special touch. I also don't believe they serve food here, just saltine crackers. One of the employees suggested a place we go for dinner which was right down the road, Skunk & Goat Tavern, so I was glad for that. read more

We make the trip here for two purposes -- 1) to get wine supplies for my husband's wine-making hobby and 2) to enjoy wine tasting, of course. Today he purchased juice for making Concord and Reisling. Staff was very helpful and cordial. Then we enjoyed some wine tasting (note that Yelp check-in provided us with one free tasting). Wine tasting is $2 a person for 6 tastings. I prefer tasting the whites; my husband the reds. We did purchase a couple bottles and, all in all, were satisfied enough with our tastings. read more

This review is for my experience purchasing winemaking supplies from their online store. I purchased an S02 apparatus which they shipped to me incomplete. They did not warn me ahead of time that multiple items were on backorder. They then avoided returning my phone calls and emails. After two months the situation is still unresolved. They said they would refund those items, but the refund was not at the price as agreed. Absolutely terrible customer service - worst I've encountered. read more

We purchased Presque Isle wines at the store at The Colony during our last trip to Erie... it was good wine! So, this time we decided to go to the winery for some wine tasting. 6 samples for $5 and it was great. The staff was fun and gave us a lot of information about types of wine and offered great suggestions. And, I can't say enough about the Blue Moon slushies that we enjoyed sitting in the breeze, under the trees outside! We'll go back! read more

Went with my husband and when we first arrived they were extremely busy (to be expected on a Sunday afternoon) but as the crowd thinned a little we were able to talk more to the woman doing the tastings and she was very friendly and easy to talk to. My husband is new to wine but likes dry red and he enjoyed all of his samples, especially the Syrah. He even bought a bottle of the Hot Kisses! It is a Thai pepper ice wine that you just have to try, I've never had anything like it!! I drink sweet wines and my favorites were the Creekside Blush & Concord and a new one called BluSecco which was an amazing blueberry sparkling wine. Definitely a must stop while checking out Erie wineries! They have something for everyone! read more

Tiny tasting room. Like the size of your bedroom. Tasting counter space for 6 people. We visited on Columbus Day weekend. And it was a beautiful weekend. The kind that gets people out and exploring. There were only 2 people working. That's for the tasting room, the front register, and the cafe! And I think the woman waiting tables was also the cook. It's a holiday fall weekend - you really need to plan staffing better. We didn't eat here nor look at the menu but I did over hear the tasting hostess say the menu was very limited because it was just the 2 of them. Wines were good. $2 for 6 tastes and there's a Yelp check in for a free tasting. Again tiny tasting area and by the time we left people were 2 deep. read more

We stopped here on our way home to Ohio from a fishing trip in New York. While in New York we went on wine tastings to several wineries along the Niagara Trail. Although the New York wines were good, Presque Isle's wines were phenomonal! We are partial to dry red wines and there was a whole list to choose from! Each wine on the list was better than the next. We loved that they had some interesting red wines made from grapes we'd never heard of too (the Marquette is amazing!) The old house that houses the wine tasting room and gift shop is quaint and comfortable. A quiet walk by the waterfall rounded out a romantic Friday afternoon. We didn't sample the food but we intend to return when we have more time. We took home 2 bottles and lots of fun gifts! read more

The best wines on our mini-tour of Lake Erie wineries this location is well worth the stop. Our server had the broadest knowledge of wines and wine making of the wineries that we sampled. The tasting room is a bit small but the converted home was old world wood quaint. One tip: the entrance is a bit small and hidden. If you have a GPS use Catholic cemetery rd as a cross street to help you find your turn. read more

It was winter so we didn't get to see the waterfall but would of been nice. Wine was good attended was very nice and super knowledgable about the wines. We did a tasting for $2. You get to try 6 wines. Every one we tried was delicious ! We ended up purchasing 3 bottles for $40 . We brought a chilled bottle down by the waterfall and enjoyed a glass on a beautiful fall day. The staff was ok..could have been friendlier and more informative. Pink Catawba was good - everything else largely mediocre. 6 tastings for $1 is more than most wineries around the area give you for a buck. We are a young couple and one of two couples there - we were mostly ignored by the girl pouring samples and she acted annoyed when we would ask for a new sample. Sorry for annoying you with my business. We were going to have a small meal here, but chose to leave, as we couldn't stand being ignored any longer. The girl pouring our samples also tried to shoo us out at 4pm when the tasting room didn't close until 5. Not sure what that was about. We wouldn't go back solely based on how we were treated here.
