Short rib and maple pork chop were very good, but the vegan ravioli was barely edible (menu describes the sauce as a "light vegan sauce" and it turned out to be a heavy marinara that completely drowned the flavorless pasta). Ild give zero stars if I could!!!! I've never been treated so poorly in my life. My husband and I were visiting from out of town as ordered to go. We showed up to pick up at least 10 mins after we were told (plenty of time to prepare our food). I waited in the car, after another 15 minutes of no food I went inside. I told my husband to take the food out to the car, and I tracked won someone to pay for our food. After being called a "bitch" I finally paid over $80.00 for our food. I was not happy without service and went back in, was told I could Leave or the cops would be called on me. A patron at the bar said he "overheard me" trying to leave "three times" without paying which was 100% false and the waitress then went to the phone the call the police. This is an expensive restaurant with 0% class!!!!! Don't ever eat here! read more

Always looking for good restaurants in the area. Tried this place based on reviews and from driving past it. Really neat looking place. Nice ambience. We had fried artichoke appetizer. Very good. Then it turned. Wife and I decided to split the special, a ribeye steak. Waitress told us it was $36. Not exactly cheap but not out of bounds for a good steak. It was Not a good steak. Tough and bland. Got the check and the steak was rung up as 45. They justified it because they "didn't charge playing fee for splitting the dinner". (Which they also never told us about) Not a very good experience. Unlikely we would go back. Not recommended. read more

Came here for dinner and it was a pleasant experience. Our waitress Paige was very attentive and paced our dishes very well. We got the mushroom crostini for an app, sea bass and short rib for 2 entrees. The crostini plate was plentiful with toppings and goat cheese spread. Super tasty and the spread was abundant. Sea bass with pineapple salsa over wild rice and brussels plate is concise and right portioning. The salsa was enjoyable with the flakey fish. The short rib dish was generous in size, lots of meat over mashed potatoes. The meat was tender and had traces of fat to complement each bite. Paige checked on us throughout dinner and topped off our waters. She was absolutely splendid. We enjoyed dinner here and recommend to have room to enjoy the generous portions. read more

I've been meaning to post for over a year. But hopefully it's worth the wait... This is probably the best restaurant in Chautauqua County. The food is exceptional, the ambiance is warm, friendly, with a high-end NY-style pub feel. The pork chops, those scallops, that salmon, the bacon wrapped asparagus and those mushroom apps; and finely crafted in-season cocktails and quite a varied alcohol stock, all the while being conscious of locally grown foods and terrific attention to detail makes one only hope they don't go anywhere too soon. And price? Comparatively speaking (I've lived in NYC and now in LA) you will NOT get a better high-caliber experience and food than you will here. Bill and Terri work this asses off, and it shows. They take a lot of pride in putting together a great experience for every diner. Let's just hope they don't lose patience with us. So, If you haven't, do yourself a favor and go. We've eaten there a dozen times. It's definitely a mixed bag. Sometimes the food can be extremely good and others serious disappointments. Perhaps the most inconsistent thing is the quality of the waitstaff. They have a lovely young people serving the food but they are easily distracted with other things, forget bread, forget rechecking on tables and forget to bring things in a sequence that would be appropriate to the meal. I had the roasted duck there last weekend it was simply terrible. My complaints and concerns simply brought a sigh without apology or offer to make some compensation. The Mediterranean pasta is typically good. That's the only thing my wife ever orders. It's definitely worth going to but don't expect high power service or consistently high food quality. read more

Unfortunately the Yelp directions were incorrect .. Brought us to a school ... Food was excellent .. Yelp shows this restaurant is good for kids .. No kids menu ... They were able to adapt a pizza for the kids off of the flatbread they were serving .. Calamari was excellent and great selection of beers and wine .. I had the burger which hit the spot ..wife had the pecan salad she said was delicious.. we also had the artichoke app which everyone enjoyed overall great experience.. Great restaurant. Delightful owners. Great setting. I've been a fish and chips guy for years, so I know when a place does it right. Brazill's nailed it. The fish was fresh and flaky delicious and was perfectly cooked . The atmosphere was great and I will be bringing the whole gang next time. We will be the nation's top fun haver. I liked the man owner. I think his name was Bill but he asked us to call him Sweet Willy B. I refused. He was jovial and tried to show us some magic tricks. This restaurant is unbelievable! From the time we sat down, to the time we left, everything was outstanding. The owner, Bill, was great. Super friendly guy who gave us some great suggestions on other places to stop in the area. He works the bar; Which you usually don't see a lot. It was great to see an owner PRESENT in their business and the fact that he's so passionate about his restaurant was an added bonus. We had dinner there Friday, and came back Saturday for a late lunch. The inside of this place is stunning; exposed brick walls and high vintage-style ceilings. You must try the bologna sandwich, stuffed mushrooms, apple-glazed pork chop. Nothing, I mean, nothing, is bad on the menu. Can't wait to come back! I am in love! We live in Clarence, NY and friends live on the west side of Erie, PA and wanted a meeting place about half way...so lucky we found Brazill's! I doubt if you could find a bad dish... my husband had the NY strip, girlfriend had scallops, her husband had the flat iron steak and I had the MAPLE BRINED PORK CHOP! ( notice the caps...it was heaven) I never had a pork chop melt in my mouth before...it was outstanding. Pared it up with great mashed potatoes and a delicious fall mix of perfectly cooked Brussel sprouts, squash and cranberries...well worth the drive! read more

Yes yes yes don't worry they tell me. My husband's review: "well, we've had worse food." We have, so I gave it 2 stars instead of one. First, the service was very good. Brandon was personable and clearly trying hard. We had their seafood cake, a variation on a crab cake - it was pretty tasteless. Not sure what was in it besides fillers. There were a few tiny tasteless cocktail shrimp. It was served on a small bed of overly dressed lettuce. The sauce was nice. I also had the pear and Gorgonzola salad. Not sure how they found a cheese that was that bland and tasteless. Pears were mushy. Greens were crisp and again, saturated with dressing. My husband had the buffalo Cobb salad. This was a spiced quarter breast of chicken on some romaine with sliced egg and cherry tomatoes. Not your typical Cobb- they left out all the good stuff. We won't go again. I would recommend that if you do stop here, you avoid the salads. read more

Yes I feel Brazill's on Main Street is amount the top and strongly recommend well prepared,fresh,top quality food there. menu limited,but in a good way (I am always wondering about some restaurant menus three pages long with 168 items!?). Can be hard during prime time because seasonal lake and seasonal Chautauqua Institution nearby. lunch won't disappoint, nor will you or your guests. This is not "big city" territory ,this is real Main Street America and a real restaurant that wants, try's,and succeeds at meeting a high level experience in every way, and most importantly in the way of food! skip the chain restaurants, skip the overdone,overpriced "destination" restaurants & take a ride to Westfield NY...you will enjoy it all. read more

Having tried Brazill's last year right after it opened, I wasn't too intrigued with trying it again. This is one of the noisiest restaurants I've ever been to, plus the food was only okay. Last night though we were taken there by friends. Still noisy, something that will be hard to fix with those high ceilings, but nearly deafening by the time we left. We started with a bottle of their best wine, ordered appetizers (the calamari was exceptional and so was the size of the serving), and then our entrees. When my hangar steak arrived I realized it was definitely medium although I had ordered medium-rare. Someone else at the table had ordered theirs medium rare, and theirs was cooked perfectly. I told my server and she said she was sorry. She was very young and clearly unsure what to do so she did nothing. I tried it and found it tasteless as prepared--they also left off the scallion topping. So I asked her to take it back. Much later she came back to tell me they had decided to recook another portion for me. By then everyone at our table, who had eaten as slowly as possible--and enjoyed their meals--was nearly done. I said great--hello, what else were they going to do, bring back the original? More time went by and finally someone else at the table went back to the kitchen to see if they had even started my order, pointing out that getting it right the second time should have taken precedence over new orders. Eventually, after I told them to cancel since I didn't want to eat alone, the manager (owner?) arrived with my plate--medium rare this time--put it down and left. Clearly they were unhappy that I had sent my original order back, despite visible comparison at our table that mine was overcooked. I took my dinner home in a box. So while we were delighted with the beginning of the meal, between the noise and their ungracious response to their error, we won't go back. I hate to say that because local restaurants that try this hard and succeed on so many levels are hard to find. read more

Of course this is the best restaurant in Chautauqua county, the family owners are genuine, friendly and really want to get to know you. The mom is chef and the staff are very accommodating. The food is not complicated and so amazing. The daughter recommended the pork chop and it was amazing- huge portion! I had the 10oz sirloin special, also a huge portion and the steak had to be at least 1 1/2 inches thick cooked perfectly! The beer and wine list is extensive. We had a bottle of the Charles krug sauvignon blanc which is amazing. Will be coming to eat here every time we are in town! read more

Visited Braziil's twice int the last 4-weeks and had an awesome meal and an ok meal. On my first visit the appetizer, salad, entree and desert were all prepared well, adequate portions and presented well. We had a very good server who was on top of his game and kept our drinks filled and timed the courses properly. On our second visit we went with a small group (8 people at our table) and our waitress seemed "taxed" to her limits. The appetizers were good ( not great), my salad was warm, and the dessert choices so limited to one pie and vanilla ice cream. Nobody ordered desert........ a couple do us enjoy a nice sweet treat after a meal. The decor is very nice and the entrees were VERY good! I personally enjoy dining a little later in the evening......Brazill's is not the place to do this, We were aware when we made our reservations for 7:00 that the kitchen tries to close by 8:00.....we felt somewhat rushed by our waitress to get our orders in. The entree selection, entree flavor and quality I night rate four stars..... I have a little Trouble giving them more than three stars do to my comments above. Every restaurant has good and bad nights........at their price point I do expect a better rounded meal. read more

Maybe a Friday night, but it's off season. Had a rrawrvation, got seated then waited 30 minutes for someone to notice us. That should have been the first tip off. Limited menu selections. Friends tried appetizers - calamari & stuffed mushrooms -were great. The green salads were served warm. Main courses were nice looking. Artichoke stuffed chicken was underwhelming. Chicken was totally dried out. Scallops were lacking flavor. Had to ask for drink refills. The hostess /Manager told us she'd take of us at checkout. Not sure what that meant since we were fully charged for the meals. Service was totally didappointing. For price, service, and food quality, go somewhere else. read more
