This was the first winery we visited on our mini wine tour in this area of New York. Little did we know, this winery would end up being our favorite! There are beautiful manicured grounds with fruit trees around the spacious winery that has lots of seating options (we took our tasting flight at the bar). There is plenty of free parking in their lot. Bathroom was clean. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by their friendly staff who answered all of my questions about the local grapes and wines. We enjoy dry whites and reds. They did not disappoint. It was clear that they take pride in their excellent product. Every wine we tried was high-quality and we ended up taking several bottles home. Came here on a girls weekend checking out wineries. This is on the path and decided to stop. You can't miss the place it has a large pink elephant outside. There is an outside area with a kind of farm market, then the main building. The building is pretty large. There was a wedding that was scheduled that afternoon and 1 area was off limits. The main building was fine. We went up to the bar area to try. They have beer, cider, slushies, and wines. Lots to choose from. They also have some food. We drank but did not try the food. Christine our bartender was very nice and accommodating. We are a group that is split. We like sweet and dry. I am on the sweet side. It's 3 tastings for $5. So we picked the raspberry and the 2 ice wines. All 3 were delicious. The raspberry was like eating a raspberry. Kinda tart and sweet. The ice wines were winners as well. A few of the girls bought some bottles and we had a glass and sat outside. Now it was a hot day. In the low 80's. The large room in the main building was hot. They have fans on the ceiling but we found out they did not work. The place was crowded and those fans needed to work. Just to circulate the air. It was hot and sticky inside. They have a porch area and we took our glasses outside. Slushies were perfect cuz it was so hot. Overall good experience. Fix the fans and it be a bit better. read more

I was so excited to come back to 21 Brix and just like our first visit it was amazing. Kasen was the perfect host behind the bar and kept the tasting experience fun. He shared knowledge about the wines and gave suggestions to help guide the tasting. I visited about 30+ vineyards in Western New York. This was by far one of the nicest not just the nicest but the white wines are top notch. Great local winery on the way to Chautauqua. Large and beautiful property with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Huge wine selection and a full food menu. Look for the pink elephants and you will know you are at the right place. Affordable wine and beer tasting options with something for every palette. Delicious wine slushies are also available by the glass. There was a large food menu to offer a meal or hearty snack as well. We had the artichoke dip and soft pretzels with dipping sauces. Both were filling, had a good portion size and were tasty. During covid there were precautions put in place. Everyone was wearing a mask and hand sanitizers were placed out for people to use. There were some plexiglass partitions inside around the bar as a safety measure. We did not make a reservation as we went on a off time but it's not a bad idea to call ahead. Large tasting room includes a wine shop (with wine accessories and other items for sale) as well as table seating inside and outside. Tasting - 6 wines for $4. The pours were decent sized so I shared the tasting with someone else. Wines - Majority of wine offerings are semi-sweet to sweet, but there's a decent selection of dry varieties as well. They also have 2 wine slushees varieties available, in Niagara and Concord. You can also get wine by the glass and enjoy it with a small plate of something. They offer a few hot items (personal pizza, buffalo wing dip, etc) and a few cold items (cheese plates, charcuterie board, etc). There was a special event going on when we were there, so fruit pies were available too. So after our tasting we each enjoyed a slushy, slice of pie, and the live music outside. Location - there's a u-pick for cherries (and maybe other fruits too) directly behind the building so that may be a fun way to spend time after your tasting. . Had a great time here with a few friends as we made our way to Chautauqua. The staff was super friendly and they had an excellent Covid set up. We felt very comfortable here with the precautions they had in place. We got a wine sampling, beer flight, wine slushees and buffalo chicken dip. Out of all that, the only thing I didn't care for was the Dry Rose in the wine sampling. It didn't taste like much of anything. The Ellatawba was my favorite. Nothing compared to the wine slush...I'd come back for that over and over. The buffalo chicken wing dip was an excellent addition. Real chicken and not too spicy! read more

Ending my first cherry picking experience with a wine tasting at Brix Winery. Its located right in front of a cherry picking field. This was not on my list put quickly added when the opportunity arises. You get 6 wine sample of choice for only 4 dollars. My favorite I tasted was the Syrah so I purchased a bottle to enjoy during our trip. I have a glass while eating to 2 handful of cherries and I think its a great combo. The charcuterie board was also delicious. There are different sizes to choose from and we got the smaller one which was enough for the four of us. I really enjoyed my time here as it also allowed me to have some bonding time with my new sister in law. We played a game where we each would give a score between 1-5 after we tasted each wine and the dry Riesling was the winner Bonus the winery also sold cherry pitters so I got one just so I can make a cherry pie for the first time. One of my preferred wineries whenever I'm in the region! Look for the big pink elephant out by road. I love the ample outdoor seating - it's beautiful and huge! We can bring the dogs and that makes a huge difference for our family. There's a wide variety of wines - from respectable drys to local sweet flavored wines. There's even bubbly and locals drafts for those not feeling a glass (or bottle) of wine. If you're hungry, be sure to try the pizzas or Buffalo chicken dip! The selections of wine were awesome and we ended up buying bottle to drink on chairs relaxing. We did find out they had music playing later in the evening but we needed to get home. Holy busy . We stopped here on a Friday about 2:30. This place was busy. The wait staff work their tails off. Bring cash for a tip . There is no spot for a tip on your credit card order. Place is large and clean. The wait staff even get your wine to go. The prices are affordable. Due to covid we had to get food for our sample and again food with our glass of wine. There are about 20 wines to sample. There is also cider to try. Large parking area. You will know you are here when you see the large pink elephant. Staff is friendly. We spent a couple days at Lake Chautauqua and decided to hit up a couple wineries on the way home, that plan changed when we got to 21 Brix. Truly a horrible experience. Their one front woman was so incredibly rude, and condescending. We bought a shirt and then possibly misplaced the bag. When we asked if someone had turned in a shirt they accused us of stealing a shirt, then *reenacted* what they thought they saw happen? When we wanted to buy a replacement shirt because the woman who lost it was very upset - they acted surprised & begrudgingly rang us up. All they needed to say was "No, we didn't find your shirt." We didn't need an reenactment & them to then shame us for what - asking if they found a shirt? We bought over $120 worth of wine and 3 other shirts - why would we steal a shirt they had record of us buying? I'm not sure. Truly bizarre. I wouldn't recommend going here, but I'm sure they do not care what I have to say. read more

As a wine lover from California, I've been to quite a few wineries in my day, so I honestly wasn't expecting much from this place in the middle of nowhere western New York. But boy was I surprised! 21 Brix has a relatively large showroom and bar to taste at. It's really cheap too, only $1 for 3 different wines! The wines themselves were a tad on the sweet side for my taste though, even the supposedly dry wines. The Cabernet I tried was a little sweet too. All in all though, I had fun tasting their wines. This winery is one of the nicest facilities on the Erie Wine Trail. It is a fairly large building with a dark wooded interior. There is a large gift shop, a section with tables and chairs, a large U shaped bar in the center with extravagant shelving behind for the wine, and a small area with chairs to sit and relax while enjoying wine. The pink elephant at the end of the lane makes this place hard to miss! 21 Brix is also unique in that they serve a few types of beer and they also serve food which most in the area do not. We have been here a few times while on the wine trail. It is always crowded and sometimes it is even hard to get to the bar to sample their wines. During our most recent visit, it was quite quiet compared to other times. We were served our pairing right away and enjoyed it in the comfortable leather chairs. When we were ready for the tastings, we went up to the bar and we were helped right away. They definitely have a wide selection to choose from - dry to sweet whites/reds, fruit wines, port, and ice wine. This was the first time that we were not allowed to sample the beer which was a little disappointing as I was excited to change it up! Anyway, their wines are just ok. I do like their fruit ones and their port was a little different than others I have had. Otherwise, I do not find the wines to be anything special and I feel they are overpriced, especially for the area. I am just not sure what makes them better to mark them up compared to neighboring wineries. All in all, this is a unique place with a large wine selection which is great when with a group who has different tastes. They also have beer, food, and a lot of merchandise. One of the newest wineries in the area and one that offers a bit of a step up from the rest. Everytime I've been to this establishment it's like home away from home and the entire staff treats you like family and that they are really happy to see you. Maybe they are always happy because of the product they create because I know personally that a certain "Thirsty Elephant" is happy after a glass or two! The various wine selections are fantastic and the place has won several awards - you won't be disappointed here unless you are the biggest wine snob in North America. Absolutely outstanding both in ambiance and in wine making. I have seldom been so impressed with the full selection of wines on offer at a winery as I was with that at 21 Brix. Their winemaker and I must share the same palate. Before you enter the winery, you are surrounded with both the sight and the smell of grapes. You enter to an elegant and open building featuring wood and brick interiors, plush leather lounge furniture, wooden chairs and tables, a generous wraparound counter area, and wine-related gifts. And even for all that, the wines will steal the show the moment you taste them. I highly recommend a sampling session or two to work through their offerings. When we visited, there was a very welcoming and knowledgeable man working the counter; his knowledge of the wines and conversation were the perfect compliment to the wine itself. I ended up purchasing a bottle of their Ellatawba wine (and I can't strongly recommend that wine enough, should you have the chance to purchase or sample it).
