I've been a server, I know the restaurant business and very rarely ever complain, but this was an experience that I couldn't go without sharing to help others. This restaurant was filthy! The forks were absolutely disgusting! I literally co sundered eating with my hands. The food was bland and left a nasty taste in my mouth. I couldn't eat it, it was so bad. Service was horrible. After making a mistake on the order the server never came back to check on us. Mistakes happen, I don't fault the server for that, but after you make a mistake you should try to make things right. My family was done eating before I got my meal that was entered wrong. And then at the end of this horrible experience I was offered a side of fries or a shake to make up for it. Absolutely terrible. Then we asked to speak to a manager and the manager said, well everyone else ate their food so it must have been good. Never again! read more

Regular stop for us while charging ev. It is always busy. Staff are always friendly, professional. Food is very good. Cons- even though it is clearly kept clean, the place is old and gross. If the bathroom is like I see it, the kitchen must be the same. How is it that a place regularly busy cannot put money back into the business? Time to update! We were there on Oct 18th, I ordered a salad, it was so bad the lettuce was rusty. Didn't eat it. Then our meal came out mine was luke warm I ate it in like 5 min before it got cold. No flavor at all. My grandkids got Mac and cheese. No flavor, cold, and clumpy. My grandson ordered fries. They were also cold and so was my husband's. The only good thing was the kids hot chocolate. After we left there we had to stop at a fast food for the kids to actually eat something. I haven't been to a Denny's in many years, especially this one here in Fredonia and I went today with my family had a taste for pancakes. Pancakes were great. The staff was great. The restaurant was absolutely filthy. I never seen a restaurant that had so much filth and your hands stuck to the chairs floor was filthy. I was afraid to eat the food. I don't think I'm gonna go back to that restaurant. I'll try other Dennys someplace else. I can't imagine they are all that dirty. read more

Denny's is now offering burgers thru what they're calling Burger Den. We have ordered several times thru Door Dash and the food has been excellent! However, a couple of times when we've wanted to order, fries weren't available and/or the particular burger we wanted wasn't available. This is a big let down. I have never had a worse experience then I did this evening. We (my family and I) went to Denny's. We are long time patrons. We have been going there for years. After this evening they have lost our business 100%. We ordered an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a breakfast. Along with a side salad and 3 drinks. The appetizer was cheesy bacon nacho tots, or something to that effect. That was fine. However now comes the terrible with it. Our kiddo ordered banana berry pancakes with strawberries whip cream, side of bacon,scrambled eggs, and a hashbrown! It was good. No issues. My fiance ordered a bacon bourbon burger with a side of seasoned fries and I ordered a 12 oz sirloin with broccoli and red skin potatoes along with a side salad. Let's start with the burger. He cut a piece off considering it was super messy, got some bread, some onion, and some bourbon sauce no big deal the meats in there somewhere. Next piece he cut off didn't think anything of it, put it in his mouth and immediately said no way. Cut what small piece of meat was there open and it was RAW!! Cold even. I received my plate with no steak. The waitress said that they overcooked it and it would be out in just a few minutes. Almost 20 minutes later she brought a steak that was so done it was dry, but yet the plate was covered in blood?? At this point my potatoes are completely cold and greasy. We say something about the hamburger she responds with oh I'll take that off the bill for you. She then stops back by and says they are recooking our food??! What! Come back out with a burger that's cooked and a steak that's just about raw! At this point we were done asked for the bill. Go to the register, and the manager comes and says oh what's the problem? I said well first off how do you serve raw hamburger to a customer? He replies the second one was cooked right? I simply didn't respond. I then said it would have been nice to eat my dinner he replies with oh we're recooking that steak. Im appalled at this point. Oh yeah and I said can you NOT charge me for my salad that was NEVER brought to me at all. Oh sure let me take the steak dinner and salad off your bill. What about that raw burger? Oh they made it right the second time. Are you a serious! $40 for some pancakes and some drinks!! Thanks Denny's you lost our patronage forever! Please learn to do things correctly in the future so people don't wind up sick with food poisoning! read more

My wife and I have been going to Bob Evans for a long time - why - because where we live there are not a lot of choices. But today - I drove right by BE's and ended up going to Denny's. We hadn't been there for years and remember our last trip wasn't impressive. Well - the place was clean and the service was great - we were taken right to a table of our choice and no sooner had we sat down we were being waited on. And waited on by one of the best servers we've had in awhile - shout out to Kyle - we'd surely ask for him again! The selection was huge - maybe too huge and I was glad Kyle was there to help guide us to two really good meals and a fantastic apple crisp desert that we shared and he knew we were going to share it without being told and brought it out on a larger plate with two spoons. Our food was great, the price was very reasonable, there was plenty of parking, the overall establishment was clean - yes even the restrooms and they accept credit cards. The only thing preventing this place from 5 stars is the fact that its a chain and chains have a hard time impressing me into a 5 star - at least on one visit. read more

My daughter and I visited while passing through on Easter weekend. We're both vegetarians, and the menu is very limited in that respect. My daughter asked if she could get the spaghetti and meatball dinner, only instead of the meatballs and meat sauce, could she get it topped with some butter. When I got the bill, I was charged the full price of a spaghetti and meatball dinner. I talked to the manager and he stated that since that was what was ordered, that was what we would have to pay for. He said he couldn't reduce the price. Basically, I paid $9.50 for a bowl of buttered noodles (they didn't even include the garlic bread or a side salad). Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed about that. Just your typical Denny's I suppose, but this is the first one I've ever been to. My friend and I were looking for a place that served a solid brunch and this certainly hit the spot. First, there was adequate parking and we were seated right away. I got a nice hot cup of coffee within minutes of sitting down (yes, it actually tasted good!) and my friend got her soda. After searching the menu extensively (numerous options!) I finally chose the Loaded Breakfast Sandwich and my friend went with one of the Skillets - both were from their value menu. We loved our food, which was served hot. Both portions were perfect and reasonably priced. Oh, I forgot to mention that we tried the pancake puppies - YUM! I'll be sure to keep Denny's on my radar next time I'm looking for a breakfast or brunch that is guaranteed to be enjoyable. read more

This Denny's is very nice especially if you need a late night breakfast. The food is always good. The service is quick. The servers are friendly. It is right next to the Thruway entrance, which is great for travelers. The menu is reasonably priced with a lot to choose from. Everything from dinners, to snacks and desserts. read more

Visiting the area from Florida, and hungry for breakfast, we stopped here, figuring Denny's is usually a safe choice. Upon arriving we waited for the wait staff to conclude their discussion on what section was who's station, and what each other's names were, we finally were seated. Our server was very nice, efficient and the food was good. We finished our meal and got the check. Here's where the "Fun" began. They had an older woman named "Sara" working the register, who had absolutely no clue what she was doing. A man ahead of me, who evidently had been standing there for several minutes, was already getting upset. He and I joked about just walking out without paying. When "Sara" finally figured out how to cash him out, and he stepped away, I stepped up. Sara then decided to attempt seating new arrivals, rather than take my money. I stood there with literally cash in hand for about 10 minutes. She comes back and decides it's now time to grab a cloth and wipe something. My partner literally shouts out "Hello, there are people here waiting to pay" Eventually she comes back to the register and rings me up. The check was for "x" amount, so I hand her the correct coinage, and she then discovers she has no $1 bills so I get back $2 in coin Denny's is not exactly fine dining, but usually good, this place is pathetic. read more

Update: now that they've added the beyond burger they have a little more going for them and it's very good! Denny's is a magical wonderland at night while you're drunk. But when you're sober it's just bad service. It took 20 minutes to get drinks, I ordered onion rings and got only 4 and when my girlfriend ordered extra bacon she got 2 pieces. read more

Find the service area to be average. Waitresses do with the table time after time but not very frequently as they seem to be more concerned with setting up other areas and taking care of the customer. The food is average for a chain restaurant and not prepared that well. I stopped there because of the incentive program. Will continue to do so as long as their program is in effect. read more

Twenty-seven dollars and change for a bad breakfast...eggs were ordered over medium and received over hard...toast had very little butter and I am not sure if the hash browns even touched the grill...thought they were supposed to be crispy not soggy. Never saw our server at all after she put down our food! Never got more coffee! Never received our bill...we talked to the manager and told her all of our complaints...she asked if we told our server...I said we would have if we had seen her again...the manager took off the price of one meal...we won't go back! read more
