I enjoyed my iced latte (plain) but my Aunt did not enjoy her Almond Joy iced latte. She said it was very different from her last visit. They also ran out of boba for their bubble tea which disappointed my younger cousin. read more

Stopped in yesterday for breakfast at 11am. Delicious gravy and biscuits. Came back today for the same thing. Denied breakfast at 11:15. Said it was lunch time. For a place that's only open till 3, doesn't really make sense to cut off breakfast time without any notification or signage. Bummer deal. read more

On our way from southern Michigan to Boyne, we stopped at 505 Cafe for lunch, since it had good reviews on Yelp. It. Was. Delicious. We chose this place for its varied menu, and it did not disappoint! Everything we had was wonderful - vanilla almondmilk latte, black coffee, omelettes, salad, burgers, and kids meals. The service was quick and cheerful, and Taylor made sure our waters and coffee were filled throughout the meal. We definitely will make this a regular lunch stop when we make this trip in the future! read more

My husband and I stopped in for brunch while making our way from the south end of the state to the north. We decided to forgo our usual indulgent sweets, and stopped in to this café for a bit more of a brunch. To our surprise, as soon as we walked in you could tell it was a very homey café, and the staff greeted us as soon as we walked in. We took a seat in the front, at a table that seemed more like it belong to in mom's kitchen, which added to the comfort of the ambience. I decided to go with the veggie skillet, with eggs, potatoes, a variety of garden vegetables, and a little bit of cheese. It certainly did not disappoint! It came in a mini cast iron skillet, and every single bite was hot, right down to the last bite. The potatoes were crisp, but not greasy or overdone. The vegetables were all fresh, nothing out of a can or frozen. It paired perfectly with my cup of coffee, that never went cold or empty. Meanwhile the staff was always checking on us and were exceptionally friendly, and this will certainly not be the last time that we visit this café! read more

Not to be missed! A real breath of fresh air in downtown Clare. The staff are friendly and attentive, lead by an owner who talks to every customer and truly cares about her business. The food is freshly made to order and the quality is fantastic. We had a child who wasn't happy with a dessert drink he ordered, and while it was made perfectly they were more than happy to take it back and make a custom replacement just for his taste. Sometimes the best indicator of a business is how they handle things when they don't go exactly to plan...and these guys crushed it. The decor is great. Bright and airy, comfortable and homey, quality coffees and espresso with wonderful desserts. Just the quaint type of cafe you'd expect in Ann Arbor, Petoskey, or Harbor Springs. Super cute restaurant with good food and good service. Love that they offer half portions on many of their items, so I didn't have to choose between pizza and salad. The taste of Michigan salad and margherite were fantastic. My kids said the Friday special of a BLT was the best ever, and they are picky and won't eat chewy, fatty bacon. This small town cafe has a big city feel and quality for small town prices! The food selection for lunch was great, and they even had Gluten Free options...(hard to find in this region). They had a half dozen flavor selection of ice cream to choose from, and my wife finished her meal with a signature coffee! Great place that has been remodeled and has a great menu. The staff is outstanding. It is a must visit when you are in the Clare area.

While this restaurant has a lot going for it; location, great decor, friendly and attentive staff, unfortunately, the food needs work. My friend's French fries tasted like what ever had been cooked in that oil previously. I had to spit out the chicken on my flat bread pizza. It was rubbery and old. And, I'm very sorry to report, that 15-20 minutes down the road an emergency stop at the restroom was needed which I can only attribute to the food. Since some of the other reviews speak highly of this restaurant, perhaps there is a consistency issue. read more

Our favorite stop when we head north. Coffee bar, vegetarian friendly times, burger options for my husband and kid friendly menu. The feel is magnolia cozy with mix matched chairs and antique accents making you wish your living room was as cute. Toys for kids to play with and some Michigan products for purchase. Cute, comfy little restaurant in an historic downtown Clare building that was previously home to a cafe'...it's new, and the menu is quite basic, but the food and coffee are fairly good. Service is friendly. One recent "win" was a house-made beef brisket Philly on a delicious, soft flatbreads. (The house gyro -- served on the same bread, not a pita -- was less of a hit; there was not a lot of meat in the sandwich, and the tatziki sauce had been heated with the sandwich instead of served cold. I'm wondering if the cook has ever eaten a real gyro.) The house burger is, I think, a pre-made patty, but it comes on a good-quality, toasted bun and is presented in an appealing way. Part of the old cafe' menu is still being served, too, so if you just to stop in for a coffee drink you can do that. I hope that the management, once grand-opening jitters are over, can focus on the menu, identify what they're doing well and add some variety with specials. read more

I've been coming to this coffee shop since it first began as Coffee Talk years ago (I actually still have an almost-completed punch card!). Their food is great and coffee is excellent. My favorite is the Bella Italia flatbread and a chai latte. The atmosphere is lovely and it's a great place to stop for lunch. The only reason I had to dock a star is because their hours are quite inconvenient. I really wish they stayed open until 5 or 6 on weekdays. read more

Very nice space, we stopped in on Saturday at about 6:30 not knowing they were closing at 7. We ordered drinks and food and when it came out the entire staff came out and started breaking down the dining room. They did it throughout our dining experience effective ruining it. The tea was great, the burger fair and the flat bread pizza needs work. We left half our food and left, hope they enjoy the weekend. read more
