#5 two poached eggs, bacon, hash browns, and wheat toast
    Jennifer D.

I used to go to Central Michigan University and was in town visiting so I had to go back to Stan's. I had their homemade chicken noodle soup which had a great flavor, a bit creamy, and homemade noodles. This is by far the best chicken noodle soup I've had. For breakfast the next day I had the #5 with two poached eggs, bacon, hash browns, and homemade wheat toast. All of this was great and cooked perfectly. The bread was fluffy and went perfect with the breakfast. Their coffee is pretty good too! The vibes are definitely diner and the staff was very friendly!

Short stack blueberry pancakes and locally sourced bacon with house made American hash browns.

Must stop diner. Always consistent and never disappointed. Beat priced breakfast anywhere In the state and quality can't be matched. Service is spot on. Old school ambience. Like going back in time.

Get here early on weekend mornings. I arrived around 9-9:30 on a Saturday morning and had a little bit of a wait. This was not the most clean or upscale place in the world, that meaning it looked like the last time it was remodeled was 20 years ago. I was a bit surprised at how expensive it was for breakfast because the overall appearance of this restaurant with ripped dated seats and wall paper from the 90s. The tables were extremely close together and it was difficult to navigate through the full restaurant. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. After placing our orders there was a bit of a wait because the whole place was packed. Although people do not come here for the views they do come for quality food. I enjoyed my French toast breakfast, it really tasted homemade. I wouldn't have thought twice about the price if it was a little more updated and not so crammed.

Another great find in Mt. Pleasant. Small town diner with great food!! And good hot coffee! Service was great. The place was packed and the waitresses handled it all with grace and a smile. Our favorite was the homemade bread!!! Big shoutout to Theresa for handling our large party at multiple tables. We appreciated your service! #travelingfamily #eatlocal

Amazing service, I had the blueberry pancakes and some hash browns. My coffee stayed warm and water was filled. Can't beat it!

This spot is cozy and had tons of great natural light, which I loved. There is plenty of parking in back, and some in the front too. They even have a drive through. I ordered a latte and a breakfast sandwich on English muffin. The coffee was really good and seemed high quality. I loved the breakfast sandwich--it was hot and tasty, and I appreciated being able to add sriracha aioli for a bit of a kick. The sandwich was only about $6, so a great deal. The wifi was fast and I was able to get quite a bit of work done. I noticed that they had some fun things for sale, including 50% off tea, so I stocked up. I loved their mugs and other fun merch. The employees working were super friendly and helpful. I'm definitely adding this spot to my rotation of coffee shops in Mt. Pleasant!

The service was super great and the ladies working there were very friendly and accommodating. The cafe was very clean, as were the restrooms. Seating area had minimal decor but still felt inviting. I'm familiar with…read morePonder Coffee from their location in the Health Professions building where I work, but I wanted to check out this downtown location. I loved it! The location is great and I was able to find street parking nearby pretty easily (although it was during CMU's winter break). I got a breakfast burrito with sausage, bacon, cheddar, and potato, and an oat milk latte. The employee taking my order was patient and friendly. The space isn't huge but I was able to get a small high top table near the front window to read and enjoy my breakfast. The latte was very delicious and creamy, and the breakfast burrito was huge! I loved that it came with salsa and sour cream. I definitely could have saved half for later, but it was so good that I smashed the whole thing. The seating wasn't super comfortable, but I was able to hang out for about an hour or so, reading and having a nice warm meal. Loved my visit to this Ponder Coffee and will definitely go back in the future.

I've never made a reservation there (or for Varley) but this was the second time they've tried to tell me my reservations were for there. When I make an online reservation, at Ivy's address, there's no option to select Coco Cabana, so I don't know why there has happened multiple times. It seems like they're trying to force people to go to their less popular restaurant, which feels unethical and is very off putting. With this said, the bartender is phenomenal, he makes great cocktails. And the staff have always been very friendly and engaging.
