We stopped here today for lunch while on a meandering road trip. I was pleasantly surprised, and would definitely return if I'm back in the neighborhood. I ordered a french dip and fries. It was very tasty, with lots of grilled onions and melted cheese. The au jus wasn't too salty, which it often is at other places. The fries were good as well, with the skins still on the potatoes. No matter what you do, save room for pie. I had a slice of blackberry, which had a bit too much pectin in it for my liking. Hubby ordered the peanut butter pie, which was absolutely fabulous. Very rich and peanut buttery. The service was good and very friendly. They has a nice selection of baked goods near the register, but at that point we were both too stuffed to check any out.

the food was good, but none of the staff was wearing masks or gloves, and they were not making customers wear masks.

if you search matcha in ludington, there are very few options…read more red rooster had specials and lots of syrup options which is great. they also have non-dairy milk options. i got a coconut matcha and my partner not a vanilla latte. the coconut syrup flavor was great but that's all i could taste. i could tell just by the color that my matcha was lacking matcha. it was mostly milk. my partner said his latte wasn't very hot or flavorful. i read that there was a potential for some vegan treat options. there were some treats but none that i saw explicitly called out as vegan.

I don't write Yelp reviews often, but this place absolutely deserves one…read more From the moment I walked in, I could tell this wasn't just another coffee shop. The space strikes that perfect balance between cozy and modern--warm lighting, comfortable seating, and just enough background music to create ambiance without making it hard to have a conversation. It feels like somewhere you can settle in with a book, meet a friend, or get a few hours of work done without feeling rushed. What truly elevated my experience, though, was the service--especially Taylor. It's rare to come across someone who is both genuinely warm and highly attentive without being intrusive. Taylor greeted me with a friendly, welcoming energy and took the time to walk me through the menu when I mentioned I wanted something comforting but slightly different from my usual order. Their recommendation and enthusiasm felt authentic, not scripted, which made a big difference. I ended up ordering the raspberry chai, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The chai itself was beautifully spiced--rich notes of cinnamon, clove, cardamom, and a subtle kick of ginger. The raspberry added a bright, slightly tart sweetness that complemented the warmth of the spices instead of overpowering them. The flavor balance was impressive; it wasn't overly sweet, and you could tell the ingredients were thoughtfully combined. It had a smooth, creamy texture and was served at the perfect temperature. Honestly, it was one of the most unique and well-crafted drinks I've had in a long time. Beyond my own experience, I noticed how attentive the staff was with other customers--checking in, remembering regulars, and maintaining a clean, welcoming space. The atmosphere feels community-oriented and intentional. You can tell this shop cares about quality, both in what they serve and how they treat people. Between the exceptional service from Taylor and a raspberry chai I'm still thinking about, this coffee shop has officially earned a spot in my regular rotation. If you're looking for a place with standout drinks and genuinely kind staff, this is it. Highly recommend.
