Well this is "without a doubt" the highest quality sub shop ever!…read moreLet me first tell you that We don't eat at sub shops the last few years as they "have become WAY overpriced for poor ingredients." So tired of ordering a "Steak sub", and the "shredded beef is pulled from a tray...already "overcooked with no flavor" At "jersey Mikes, the fresh made bread is awesome(and they will toast it for you on request".We chose the Parmesan crusted... We both ordered the Biggest size Grilled Steak and melted cheese sub... it was HUGE! Well over the 12 inch normal sub sizes at the local competitors in town That said...The "STEAK meat itself" was cut fresh right in front of us(as all their deli meats are too(for an italian sub, as an example) Seared, and put on that DELICILIOUS homemade sub loaf... I could NOT WAIT to unwrap it and sit at the available tables to sink my teeth in it. Both my husband(who is very spoiled by "my hot homemade subs from my kitchen) and I myself...OMG! We thought we died and went "hot Steak sub Heaven! We even complimented to the manager and very friendly staff... And guess what? we EACH at the WHOLE 15 inch sub! Reasonably priced and will never step foot in the 2 other sub shops in Mount Pleasant again! "word of mouth, and seeing their commercials with "Danny Devito" on television...Pushed us to give Jersey Mikes a try...So thrilled that we did! Oh, there was this really nice elderly lady who was working the floor(cleaning at the time)In speaking with "her", she also was a good home cook like myself...Her "best compliment to the owner? ..."I would NOT be working here if the "food was not up to par"...She was 100% correct! Update...I have read some reviews that parking is a bit tough, but "thats most places in the busy town of Mount Pleasant...I just avoid at lunch times...This is a pretty "new business", and there may be a wait, but "well worth it...There are 3 different "sizes to chose from...I chose the 15/16 inch steak, and it was only 15.99 Subways 12 inch is now 17.99, without FRESH sliced hot grilled steak. I found the pricing fair for they quality in comparison to other sub places.A spurge...but well worth it!.it filled us up for the day...so good I did not want to take home...ate it piping hot off the grill there...just like "when I pick up a pizza...I want to eat tin the car(ex.Jets)...nothing is great "reheated"

This spot is cozy and had tons of great natural light, which I loved. There is plenty of parking in back, and some in the front too. They even have a drive through. I ordered a latte and a breakfast sandwich on English muffin. The coffee was really good and seemed high quality. I loved the breakfast sandwich--it was hot and tasty, and I appreciated being able to add sriracha aioli for a bit of a kick. The sandwich was only about $6, so a great deal. The wifi was fast and I was able to get quite a bit of work done. I noticed that they had some fun things for sale, including 50% off tea, so I stocked up. I loved their mugs and other fun merch. The employees working were super friendly and helpful. I'm definitely adding this spot to my rotation of coffee shops in Mt. Pleasant!

The service was super great and the ladies working there were very friendly and accommodating. The cafe was very clean, as were the restrooms. Seating area had minimal decor but still felt inviting. The aioli and sweet soy was a great complement to the perfectly cooked, juicy bites of fried chicken. Meals: YES, there was just two of us and YES we got three meals, soup and an app. The menu is outstandingly elevated, packed with creativity and flavor profiles. We chose the Venison Chili to start and wow, it was amazing. Our meals were 1. Southern Mac 9/10: not our favorite due to the cheese sauce, but the flavors overall were spot on, noodles perfect, spicy jalapeños and the pickled onion was a perfect touch. 2. Steak Dinner: this is the meal that made me ask who the Chef here is! 100000/10! Most amazing, juicy, tender and flavorful steak I've ever had. I asked for a side of the truffle garlic aioli because I wanted to try it, the steak didn't need a darn thing (although I did take the horseradish aioli home to try and replicate!) The sides were perfect, the veggies and the potatoes - yum. The house made sauces were amazing but for only dunkin' those potatoes - don't ruin a good steak with sauce. Seriously, it's that good. 3. Gyro Lamb Burger: 10/10! The lamb was juicy, the homemade tzatziki was so darn flavorful and the cucumbers were crisp and fresh. Dessert: leftovers, and our delicious drinks from the bar - we didn't have a bite to spare in our stomach's. Hats off to the chef and team who created this menu! We drove almost an hour to come here based on your Google reviews alone and it was worth every second of the long rainy drive! We will absolutely be back. This is a level of service and food you need to tell your friends about.

They were also doing a deal on their mocktails for dry January, which I thought was cool. The menu is pretty varied with lots of options for meat-eaters--I wouldn't come here if you're vegan or vegetarian. Entrees get a bit pricey (their steak frites is $49), but sandwiches are around $15-$18 and come with fries. I ordered the pesto chicken wrap with a side of mac and cheese instead of fries. My friend got the chicken and chorizo nachos and we decided to split them half and half. Our food came out quickly and looked really good! The wrap was tasty but I couldn't really taste the pistachio pesto. The mac and cheese was incredible--super cheesy, perfectly cooked cavatappi noodles, and very flavorful. I'm really glad I upgraded to that and would even consider getting the full entree size in the future. The nachos were pretty loaded, and a generous portion. I liked all the toppings but didn't really taste much chorizo. These would be a good starter for a group. Overall a very good experience and I would come back.

The homey decor paired with the friendly service made it feel like you were visiting a friend who also happens to be a baker extraordinaire! The staff here goes above and beyond with the drink attentiveness--our waitress kept the refills coming and even offered us a coffee to go as the place was winding down. Now that's hospitality! Located conveniently across from the Tesla superchargers, it's the perfect pit stop for some recharge-yourself-while-you-recharge-the-car vibes. And don't leave without trying a slice of their famous pie. We were tipped off by the waitress that the buttermilk and berry pies are the crowd favorites, and I can see why! If you're a pie person, don't miss. Food-wise, it's classic Michigan fare. The chicken and rice soup of the day was exactly what you'd expect--simple, no-frills, but satisfying. I also tried the quiche of the day, which came with a fruit cup (not the freshest fruit ever, but no complaints here) and a homemade scone that was delicious! The pesto chicken sandwich hit the spot, too. Whether you're here for the pies, the quiche, or just to soak up the local charm, Mulberry Cafe has you covered. And with an attached gift shop, you might just find a cute souvenir to remember your visit.
