I have had 5.2 Patio bookmarked for months and though its down the street, I just choose to go elsewhere, lol. I finally put myself to it and decided I'm going to go. I didnt know what to expect cause I cant really make out if its a sit down restaurant, if its a small joint with a few seats around, or if there is no seating at all (these things matter to me when I'm out and about trying to work. So I walk in and the place has three small tables. Two of the three tables were taken, so thankfully I got to have one table. The people working there are super sweet. I wanted to eat the potstickers, but there were two different styles - one regular and one "yaki". The yaki potstickers are basically potstickers with teriyaki sauce on/in it. Of course, I got the one with teriyaki! For my drink, I needed caffeine!! haha So, I ordered a cappuccino mocha blast with Boba balls. The drink was made fairly quick and tasted wonderful!! The potstickers took a little bit of time, but i'm assuming its cause they make them fresh...? They tasted amazing as well!! Between the service and the food/drinks... Decided to try 5.2 Patio because it was one of the few boba places that delivers! I ordered a Thai Tea and some popcorn chicken. Unfortunately, the milk tea itself was lackluster and the boba itself just didn't taste fresh. The consistency of the boba was mushy, which sucked since I ordered extra lol. The popcorn chicken also tasted a bit old but overall it was okay. The seasoning was perfect but there was just too little chicken, I didn't think it was worth the price. Most of the food I've had here is pretty good, however if you're looking for boba I wouldn't recommend it. I've gotten milk tea/bubble tea here multiple times and each time it's been either watered down or bitter. The tapioca pearls themselves were subpar, not super flavorful. My favorite boba place in La Crescenta. Quick service and smoothies are good. I've tried mocha, cappuccino, avocado, ube, sea salt caramel, lychee, and mango and they're all good. BOBA CENTRAL! They have a huge variety of flavors. My ultimate favorite is passion fruit slushie. Holy moly.. It's blended wonderfully and tastes too darn good. They stamp your card every time you come and order boba. After a certain amount, you get a free boba. Like I usually say, nothing's better than free! My only criticism is that they need to clean the blenders a lot more. I've been here many times and my drinks have tasted like parsley. I didn't bother them about that because I just don't like wasting my time on something they should already do. Regardless, the fact that the lot is super huge is wonderful because you won't have a problem with parking even when it gets busy. But like I said, upkeep of any business is critical to its well being. The drink itself was really good. I'll give that a 5/5 stars. My son ordered the mango slush (brain freeze central) with boba. I tried that and it was awful, but he liked it so 3/5 stars. They didn't offer me a drink card or ask if I had one which was lame. 1/5 stars Prices are good. My 12 ounce tea with overly soft boba was $2.85. The mango brain freeze was $3.15 for a 12 ounce size. Korean owned boba shop. (By Korean owned, I am emphasizing that boba aka pearl milk tea, is Taiwanese). My favorite is the Almond Roca Milk Tea w/ Boba. I get this every time, because I haven't seen this flavor at any other boba place, and it's goooood. My friend got the lavender milk tea w/ boba, and she liked it as well. Personally I'm not a big fan of floral flavored milk tea. The quality of the boba itself is .... just slightly below average because it's too soft. I am thankful that they don't fill half your cup with ice, like some cheap Asian places do. Prices are reasonable, I usually spend around $3-$4 for a regular size. Overall taste is similar to that of Tapioca Express. Good, but not great. But in La Crescenta, there really aren't many choices. This is my favorite boba place in the La Crescenta area. My favorite flavors are lavender/rose with milk tea and taro over ice. Their food also tastes amazing, especially their potstickers. Prices are definitely reasonable. I just wish they had more workers or were a bit quicker making drinks. There's usually a long line after 3 on weekdays due to students from school which makes the wait much longer. Tried the Hokkaido Milk Tea (iced) for the first time and wasn't happy with it. It was too sweet and had too strong butterscotch/caramel taste and made it a bitter after taste. I usually have a sweet tooth for these types of drinks but this drink definitely gave me that sugar load. My partner tried the Thai tea and he wasn't happy with it because of how water down the tea was. It wasn't as sweet compared to Hokkaido milk tea. Cute, clean place with great service! I had the Korean bbq plate and the mocha blast with boba. The drink was great! The bbq was, not bad. The boba itself was really good and cooked really well. My mocha blast was also very tasty. This place is in the same shopping center as the Vons so it's actually easily missed. I hate to say but I've been coming here for over 14years and in the past year, the service Andrew food quality has really gone down. I ordered over the phone yesterday and had a really rude girl answer the phone. I asked if she could add extra spicy salt on my crispy chicken and her response was "ugh... Ok I can do that.." I said "thank you" and instead of saying bye, she just hung up on me. It was never like this before.. Also, every time I order your popcorn chicken, you guys never fill it to the top (check pictures below). Also, so many times that I've walked in there, the girls just seem to talk talk talk. They have no sense of urgency. I had to stand next to the counter and I literally just stood there and stared at them so they could start moving on making my drink. I would understand if it was busy but there was NO ONE there except myself and a guy who already got his food and drink. Look, theres other boba places around the area. Love their misoo boba! So refreshing and delicious :) the service is a bit slow so it may take a while if you have bigger orders.

The products are good here. There's not many places that sell shaved ice desserts, so this is the closest in La Crescenta/Montrose area, without traveling to more Asian-populated cities. Hands down my favorite place to have boba! There are so many flavors to choose from. They have smoothie bobas that are blended with ice/milk and called "snow" for example "strawberry snow", "honeydew snow", "coconut snow". Then they have slush kind of bobas which are blended with ice. My favorites include honeydew snow boba and the milk tea boba. The place is small and kept clean.
