So I got to try a super delicious vanilla latte with almond milk thanks to 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters and loved it! I was in Harvest Wagon on Yonge St., Toronto and was offered a complimentary coffee of my choice made by friendly sales rep, Manon. The blend is called Old School Espresso and I immediately loved the rich flavour. Manon added the perfect amount of vanilla syrup so it allowed me to enjoy the fantastic coffee bean flavour much more. And the latte tasted even better with each delicious sip! It was a nice unexpected treat that made my day!

Large space for joining friends for a chat and good times. Donuts & assortment of food items are available. Lines are often long but moves quickly. Indoor & outdoor seating. Restrooms require a key that can be obtained from the security counter in the main lobby. Iced mocha is delicious & keeps me coming back. Location is easy to find on the corner of Georgia & Thurlow.

Large Ginger Spiced Chai with almond milk

I was staying at the adjoining hotel and this spot always seemed to be busy every time I walked past, so I knew it was worth a try! The shop is rather large, with ample seating inside and even more patio seating outside. You enter and are immediately enticed by the indulgent doughnuts from Lucky's Doughnuts. It took every ounce of my willpower to resist the crème brûlée doughnut, it looked amazing! I placed my order of a large dirty Ginger Spiced Chai with almond milk and noticed that they only accept credit. Totally fine with me, but good for others to be aware of. After adding a shot of espresso and swapping for almond milk and a tip, my total was north of $10, which I guess is to be expected of a downtown coffee shop, but still on the pricier side. My drink was up in a matter of minutes and because it was a chilly day, I opted to enjoy it inside. It is velvety smooth and has a slight spice, but it's missing the kick that I look for in a really good chai. I was expecting that since it's a ginger spiced chai, which I figure would have made it on the spicier side. It was still a very delicious drink, but I've had better.

large outdoor seating area that was very clean and cute. large indoor area as well. they were really nice and helpful and quick. i just got the mango passion fruit bismark and blueberry lemon bismark which were both 10/10. flavor was spectacular, custard was perfect in every aspect (texture was great and not too sweet). donut itself was little dense but otherwise very great donut! highly recommend and they were beautiful too!

Such a beautiful cafe! The coffee was excellent. I got try their maple sea salt latte and it was so good. This was the redeeming coffee shop in Vancouver as I was beginning to lose hope in finding a good coffee shop in this area. The interior is absolutely gorgeous, with very tall ceilings, lots of greenery, and the cutest part is that their color is Tiffany blue so all the mugs and cups and even the coffee bags are the prettiest blue. lots of indoor seating, and even more outdoor seating, and it is super close to the waterfront and walking distance from the financial district. I would definitely recommend this coffee shop if you're in the area and you are looking for a delicious treat. We also got to try some of their breakfast specialties, including the Doug sandwich, and the avo sandwich, which were both very filling and delicious. As a bonus while we were at the café, the US rugby team also showed up and we got to see them which was pretty cool!

An easy choice for a coffee stop in downtown as you can't go wrong with their donuts or beverages. I recently visited 49th Parallel Coffee to take try out their creation for the Hot Chocolate Festival. The flavour I tried was the Caramel Grey Dreams. It was perfectly paired with a Lycky's mini Brioche Bismarck filled with velvety Earl grey cream. Both dessert and drink had the just right amount of sweetness and hints Earl Grey flavour that works great as a nice afternoon pick me up.

It was my first visit to this Parallel 49th location having been to some of their other locations many times. This cafe has a menu of breakfast sandwiches and toast in addition to the doughnuts and coffee. There's actually not much seating inside. The patio has a lot more tables but is not very useful when it's cold out. My friend and I did manage to squeeze in but it's kind of tight seating. I got: Avocado toast: I think $15 for a single slice of toast with probably half an avocado and a sprinkling of chickpeas and pickled onions with a simple side salad is steep. It was good avocado toast, though. Nothing fancy, but the spiced crunchy chickpeas were a nice touch. Crème brûlée bismarck: This was great! It was my first time trying a bismarck donut from them since I usually visit the other cafes early in the morning before the bismarcks are ready. The yeast dough was very fluffy and the pastry cream inside was delicious; even though it was just vanilla pastry cream there was a really nice flavour. They were making all the yeast doughnuts heart-shaped for Valentine's Day which was really cute. Decaf americano: Pretty strong for an americano and a little acidic but not unpleasant. It really grew on me as I was drinking it. Other food tips: My friend ordered a breakfast sandwich and the egg came out very runny and messy. I think he liked it even if it was messier than he wanted. The eggs are cooked to order, so it may be worth mentioning if you want a less runny egg. Also, while I have only had that one doughnut here, I love the old-fashioned and vegan/GF doughnuts that I've gotten at other cafes, so I feel like I can vouch for them as an all-around great doughnut spot. All the coffee and tea lattes are great, especially the ginger chai.

Why 5 stars? Because I'll never forget that beautiful Old Fashioned Salted Caramel. --- --- --- We were on a 5-day vacation between Vancouver and Banff, and it is not an exaggeration to say that the old fashioned was one of the best things I ate on the whole trip. We didn't even necessarily plan to visit 49th Parallel, and I definitely didn't plan on ordering a donut, but it looked so appealing that I couldn't pass up the opportunity. And I'm so glad I didn't. It was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the perfect flavor. If I lived nearby, I would have a dangerous addiction to these delightful slices of heaven. Unfortunately, nearby... I am not. I also enjoyed my coffee and my salmon bagel very much. But the salted caramel old fashioned stole the show. Bless you, donut chef.

I got a spicy ginger chai and avocado toast. Both were phenomenal! The tarragon really shines in the avo toast and the drink was really delicious. I like their outdoor seating.

Apparently, 49th Parallel Coffee is one of the best in Vancouver. We were able to find parking nearby so we could stop by for our first coffee of the day. I was surprised that they didn't have any specialty coffee offerings (like a pour over) or even cold brew. They had the typical espresso offerings along with non-coffee options and seasonal drinks (a couple of my friends enjoyed their lavender lemonade). I ended up getting a flat white which was pretty strong, just like how I wanted. I could definitely taste the espresso, which was on the darker side. Not my favorite, but still enjoyable. The cup and plate they served the drink with has a pleasant blue shade. Not a whole lot of seating inside, but we were able to grab a spot outdoors.

Fresh made food that was delicious! There was plenty of pastry options, sandwiches and coffee varieties.

The 49th Parallel is a great spot for a healthy option breakfast (and good donuts). We had the the Avocado toast, The Doug, and The Salmon Toast. I had the Salmon Toast and it was a lite portion with great taste the dill was just enough for a good flavor on top. I had a bite of the Doug from my daughter and the Tarragon sauce was excellent. The counter service was good, although there was only Splenda on the coffee table counter and when I asked for Raw Sugar, the gal making coffee's told me to go down around the corner and ask someone else. I wasn't real happy about that, but whatever. The coffee counter and sitting area is a typical bit small area of a large high ceiling lobby of a high rise. It was super on a Sunday morning. I can only imagine on a weekday with businesses operating and employees grabbing a cup of Joe and sando for the morning. I would recommend this place. Cheers!

There is an overwhelming amount of unique flavors and all of which I would have loved to try. I opted for the matcha and German chocolate donut and wow! I had no idea Canada was known for donuts but I can now understand why. The donuts are super light and airy which I prefer. The reason I don't care for donuts at least in the US is because they're always so dense but it was the complete opposite here. The donuts at Lee's also had a nice crispiness on the outside which added a nice texture. They are also not overly sweet and had great flavor! I especially love the location of this shop because you can do some souvenir shopping on this street and get your pictures of the steam clock. Had I known about this place earlier in my trip I would have loved to come back a second time but at least now I know for the next time that I visit Vancouver.
