I was disappointed that there was no fried zucchini available at 6:00 p. m. on a Friday night. Other than that, everything was good: wedding soup, warm Italian bread, scrod, baked potato, and lasagna. Prices are fair for the quality and quantity. Service was attentive. I would not recommend coming here without a reservation, particularly on a weekend night. We will return! I will someday try the house specialty prime rib. It looked great.

First, it is off the main street of restaurants in Oakmont, but that is ok. Parking was also tight, but we were able to find a spot. The restaurant is on the small side and had an intimate feel. There are limited tables, a couple of high tops, and a wrap around bar. The food was really good. I had the lobster ravioli with a vodka sauce. I enjoyed it immensely. My wife had the steak salad. It was very good also. She said the ranch dressing tasted like it was house made. The service was fine. Not over the top, nor was it poor. Overall it was a good meal and experience.

I grew up not far from Dominico's, but I moved away many years ago. Every time I come back to…read morevisit, a trip to Dominico's is a must, especially for me and one of my childhood best friends. Normally, we would always get the Chicken Parm with a side salad and their Homemade Italian Dressing, which is hands down the BEST EVER! Seriously, I don't know what they put in that dressing... but I want the recipe!!! The last couple of visits, we decided to switch things up and try the Enzo Chicken (after seeing it on someone else's table). Well... let me just say, I now dream about this dish... It is absolutely scrumptious! And because apparently one Dominico's visit wasn't enough this trip, I went back a SECOND time for the steak salad--you know, the one topped with fries, aka "Pittsburgh croutons." And of course, I drenched it in that incredible Italian dressing. Chef's kiss! The only thing I would give negative feedback on is the garlic rolls/knots. While they're good, I prefer a thick slice of garlic bread (crusty outside & soft in the middle). I live in Las Vegas and have had my fair share of Italian food, but this little place remains a true hometown gem. I managed to get a picture of the Enzo Chicken but completely failed to take a picture of the steak salad. Guess I was too busy eating it! If you're anywhere nearby, I definitely suggest giving this place a try. Come hungy & don't forget to order the Italian dressing!

At the top of a hill in the middle of a golf course with a huge dropoff leaves you with an almost 360 view for miles with an area overlooking the river. Then came the food. On top of that I also had mozzarella sticks since I'm a true fatty and ended up over eating and wish I had more room to try other things on the menu. So of course I came back the next day and had the Margherita pizza. The staff was very friendly both visits. With that being said I will make sure to stop by this hidden gem anytime I visit the city.

The breads were really good and fresh, we really like the non-white bread. It was different but very good! We had ravioli, fettuccini Alfredo and 2 of the specials off of the early bird menu (the salmon salad and the pork chop). We enjoyed all of our food. The red sauce is really good! My salad was huge, I was able to bring a nice portion home. My husband said the rice with the pork chop was terrible but he really enjoyed the salad and pork chop. Our waitress was a little dry and not super friendly. She did forgot 2 of the soups we had ordered but offered to pack them to go or give us dessert, our kids opted for the dessert and both tried the cannolis (which were very disappointing). We weren't a fan at all and we all love cannolis. She did however send the soups home with us too (but one was not the soup ordered). Anyways it was a nice gesture. The building itself is an older building with nice woodwork and details. The crowd was definitely on the older side but we did dine in early. Overall good food, a little more on the formal side. Elegance with a welcoming feel of home and delicious creations!…read more As soon as you enter, you can see the grandiose architecture of the building and decor. The simplified elegance is also accompanied by the hospitality of the staff. Warm welcomes and greeting each customer as if they are a regular creates an atmosphere that you want to be in for every meal... and you didn't even eat yet. The menu has plenty of options, but I asking for suggestions... the staff can help you to find those hidden gems of Oakmont. The fried zucchini appetizer is not your normal bread crumbed planks- but a pillowy tempura batter that is cleverly aired to avoid sogginess with their plating technique. I would highly suggest grabbing this as an app. The bread service is already fresh and delicious... but the secret sauce... ask your waiter for the dip. Yes, it now costs a little extra. But oh my word.... It is worth every scent. The Blackenzola is worth the creative name and topping! The gorgonzola is fresh and adds such a delicious crust with the balsamic glaze on top of their filet mignon. The chef cooks the meat to perfection and it is a great meal. The green beans are a great vegetable option. The mashed potatoes make sense to be a Chef's Choice. The piping on the plate is beautiful - and they are smooth and creamy! After eating such good food, you have to say yes to just see the Dessert menu... and the tiramisu was calling my name. They give you a large portion and you can taste the freshness of this decadent dessert. All in all, Hoffstot's is a place that you will feel welcome, you will want to come back, and they will probably remember you.. or at least make you feel like part of the family.
