Scallops with roasted potatoes & N.Y. Strip steak with roasted green beans entree
    Rachel B.

Food & drinks were great! Everything we ordered was cooked and seasoned perfectly with great portion sizes. The goat cheese on top of the strip steak was my favorite, it complimented the steak so well. The tables do sit closer together as the inside space isn't that spacious, but I imagine during warmer weather when the patio is open it is a great vibe! Our server unfortunately wasn't the friendliest and seemed annoyed with us the whole time which made the whole experience slightly uncomfortable.

Just found my new favorite. A savory chicken liver mousse with blood orange marmalade and peanut butter shortbread that compliments VIVOs ambiance and friendly service.

Such a fantastic experience at Vivo! The ambiance is warm and inviting--perfect for a cozy date night or a fun evening out with friends. We decided to skip the main dishes and instead ordered a selection of appetizers for dinner, which turned out to be the best way to sample a bit of everything. Every dish was delicious, but the mushrooms were a standout favorite! The service was exceptional as well; the staff was incredibly welcoming, and our server had wonderful menu recommendations. Can't wait for my next visit!

I had the best birthday dinner at Vivo Kitchen! This was our first time visiting Vivo, but it has been on my list for quite some time! You definitely need to make a reservation because it is a very intimate space. The hostess and our waitress were both amazing! They were welcoming and inclusive. Although my boyfriend and I are 29 and 30 years old, we look much younger, and we don't always get treated with respect in nicer restaurants. I really appreciate the restaurants that treat us well! The food was divine. We ordered the Pesto Crustini as our appetizer, and I can't speak highly enough about the pesto... YUM. I had the shrimp in a chili sauce with potatoes for my entree, and my boyfriend had the whole chicken with potatoes. My shrimp was great, but the fried chicken was even better! The chicken was hands down the best I've ever had. Our waitress put a candle in our dessert, which was a great finishing touch! We had a great experience at Vivo and cannot wait to return for another special occasion!

After passing on the duck leg appetizer many times tonight we both tried it. It's great. They also offered a fig salad which also was excellent. As always service was perfect. I can't say more.

We went to this place on a Friday night. We arrived at the time of our reservation and were seated almost immediately. The restaurant, including the bar area, was full and packed. The ambiance was consistent with a Japanese-inspired cafe. Abstract and minimalistic decoration. The dining area was relatively small and the tables were close to each other. It is a good place for a date if you don't mind your neighbors listening to part of your conversation! The service was fast and friendly. We ordered their roasted peach salad and cold octopus for appetizers, scallops and fried fish for the main course, and pot of chocolate and crème and gelato for the dessert. Everything, including the wine, were well prepared, good looking, and tasty. The portion size was relatively small ( for example, I got four scallops) but we saw on the other tables that their meat dishes are larger. So if you are hungry, a streak or pork chops would be a better option than scallops. The price was high. I cannot say overpriced but $140 before tip for two persons is high. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and recommend this place for a pleasure dining experience.

She offered to make a chocolate martini I said ok that sounded good. My husband ordered a beer. Two minutes later. The waitress came back, and asked what we wanted to order. We were so confused . We ordered again acting like she didn't just take our order 2 minutes ago. I actually ended up changing my order and asked if they had a "house" pilot grigio. She said yes. She asked if we were going to order food and we said just drinks tonight. 5 minutes pass and she brings a large appetizer to our table. I said we didn't order this. She asked if we talked about it though . We said "no" we were never ordering food. I was so taken back by this experience I wanted to cash out after our drinks. I headed to the bar and asked for our bill. We were going to leave cash and leave because the whole situation was very uncomfortable. (Thinking 20 would be enough for the drinks and tip) We finally get the bill and the house wine is on there along with the beer. The total was $37 for 2 drinks. How can a house wine be $17 for a glass? As we left, the whole situation didnt sit right with me. I called later to ask how much a glass of house wine was and the person that answered stated $9.

You'll be required to find street parking, with the most convenient options being to pay for a parking space on the street nearby. (There is also free street parking but you may have to drive around a bit to find a open spot) We had a table of 6 dining here around 5pm on a Friday. We met part of our group there, and they were already seated, so I don't believe waiting for a table was an issue (even for a party of 6). Once seated, our waiter was prompt and attentive and we also had who I assume to be a manager check-in with us. So no complaints about service. Our waiter took our drink order, appetizer order, food order and provided refills on drinks promptly/reasonably. All of our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals but my wife had the shrimp fajita and I had the rodeo burger (without BBQ sauce, I just wasn't in the mood for BBQ sauce but all of the other toppings sounded yummy - Gouda cheese, bacon, crispy fried onion, and chipotle aioli). Both are pictured. Overall, I'd recommend going here if you aren't bothered by street parking. The service, atmosphere, and food were solid.

A server approached us immediately as my friend was still laying face down on the floor. The servers first question was "have you guys been drinking?". I quickly replied no! How about do you need medical assistance? A second server finally ask if we needed an ambulance a good 5 minutes later. Their concern was to get her up & out of the entryway. She managed to get up with our assistance visible shaken & take a seat. She was given a water & some ice wrapped in a towel . There were visible bruises across her nose. No accident report was taken. No one asked her name. We decided to stay & eat against better judgement. Upon trying to order they were out of chips & salsa, barbacoa & blueberry desert! Will not be returning. The servers need to be better advised on how to handle incidents where someone has been hurt in particular the elderly who are vulnerable.

Live music was really relaxing and for once I can genuinely say it was at a good volume (I think I'm aging). The restaurant has recently been remodeled.
