We ordered: --Chicken sandwich, fries, boba drink --Teriyaki beef and shrimp bowl with rice and carrots (my son didn't want the cabbage or broccoli) --Apple chicken salad, no chicken This is by far, the best place we have eaten at in a long time. The chicken sandwich was freshly fried, not frozen. The salad was fresh, with fresh veggies and fruit. The dressing tasted light and homemade. The teriyaki bowl was delicious, no old frozen meats. The boba tasted homemade and fresh. Everything could have been customized because it is made to order and not premade. We could tell that time and effort went into every meal. Love this place. The people who work there are super friendly and attentive. The food is delightful. The menu's all over the geographic map, from ban mi to tacos. The Asian inspired soups are all delicious. I personally usually order the bulgogi bowl but that's after trying and enjoying pretty much everything on the menu. Happened to be staying here overnight on a road trip. Dad loved the beef bulgogi and the potstickers. And he lived in South Korea for 9 months. He also had the Jasmine Thai Ice tea. Make sure you realize it is is THAI iced tea as it has milk and sugar. He enjoyed it but thought he was just getting iced tea (his mistake it says it on the menu ). I had the mango chicken salad and it was delightful. Light and exactly what I wanted. I ended up getting the Ginger peanut dressing on the side and it was very, very good and a thick texture. Although there are many different types of restaurants with different cultures, I'd say 4 SEASONS CAFE is 100% the absolute very best place to eat. Wether your passing through or you live in the area, if you have not tried the delicious food at 4 Seasons then you have missed out. It's not too late, i recommend them over any other restaurant or fast food place in or around, from Bakersfield-- Mojave it is worth the drive to try their unique exquisite taste. You will be amazed and impressed with high quality ingredients and pleasantly surprised how delicious their food really is. They also have really great tasting Bobas, one of my favorites is the Dark Chocolate with strawberry poppers. The prices are very reasonable and personally I'm surprised that they are not charging more then they are. I've spoken to the owner and he shared that it's not all about the $, but he just loves knowing that people are enjoying the food here. If you are feom out of town, just passing through or perhaps a hiker on the Pacific Crest Trail, please don't pass the opportunity to try the BEST place in town. I am very confident Bragg this will also be your favorite place to eat, although you might try others, you'll always want to return to the number one Authentic restaurant in town. I'm sure I didn't order one of their best dishes. I'd love to give this place 4 or 5 stars if their food warranted it. They are clean, nice place, I like the selection. Maybe I'll have to try a meat dish. I ordered the Asian salad. By default it comes without meat so that's what I ordered. It sounded perfect! Greens, edamame, cashews, cilantro, crunchy Asian noodles. This sounds excellent! But the flavors were not great. Everything was fresh and clean. But lacked dash of salt in the salad. No salt with edamame, cashews, greens. There were no onions or garlic. Seems like could add small sliced green onion at a minimum. The dressing is peanut sauce. I love peanut sauce but not their's. It had a lot of peanut butter and was thick and very sweet. It needs soy sauce, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar and lime at a minimum. Anyway. It was not very good. If it relies on meat to round out the flavor then make that a part of the menu item, or just make the veggie version better. Anyway I'm sure everyone loves this place so I don't expect they want to make any changes. read more

This is a really good place to try if you want something a little different. I always get the pork bahn mi. It comes with two sandwiches so you can share if you'd like and get an appetizer too. I'd recommend the salad rolls, they are fresh and the dressing is very tasty. I also like that they have boba teas there. Inside is nice and it is a casual restaurant. The service has always been good as well. They do have options for kids as well if you have a kid who is picky. Some of the best food & drinks in Tehachapi! The bowls are fantastic. My fav is the chubby pork belly bowl. All of the flavors meld together in an expert way. This is the sort of freshness and yumminess that I crave. I've also enjoyed other bowls, and tacos. Yum! Quite a variety of options. Their drinks are next level! I've had boba, sure. I enjoy a nice Thai iced tea, yeah. But honeydew milk with lychee jellies, wow!!! Wanting to try something new to me, I asked for a recommendation... and got a Hokkaido Milk Tea with strawberry poppers - what?!, but it was SO good! I'm gluten-free and dairy-free, which usually makes things challenging. But not here! Most of the things are already dairy-free (or, with the drinks, there are dairy-free alternatives), so that's easy. And the cashier is good about asking the kitchen about gluten or dairy, so I can be confident in what I'm ordering. As an allergy person, this is very reassuring. We had a party of 7. Everyone loved everything we ordered. The food was very fresh and beautiful. It had the deliciousness of a decadent meal, yet left us feeling really good inside, not overstuffed or yucky. The staff we encountered were so sweet and helpful. The food came out quickly and we enjoyed sitting on the patio. A lot of thought and care has gone into each dish we had, the flavors were so good and perfect. They use quality ingredients. We had both the vegetable and chicken eggrolls, summer rolls, shrimp tempura, beef bulgogi bowl, teriyaki combo, tofu banh mi, and garlic noodle with shrimp. Every single dish was delicious and everyone in our party was super happy. Way to go 4 Seasons Cafe! We hope to come back often! I tried the chicken sandwich and fries. The fries tasted as though they had been re-fried. They were so hard that they were literally inedible. Seriously, how hard is it to get french fries right? The chicken sandwich was okay. My husband had the Teriyaki Bowl. He said it wasn't bad but that the teriyaki flavor was kind of overpowering everything else. I visited this establishment with my husband for a date night. We were under the assumption it was a full service restaurant. It is not. You place an order at the counter and the food is to be delivered to your table. My husband and I were among one other occupied table during our visit. The young man at the register did not greet us nor did he acknowledge when it was acceptable to order. We stood in front of him unsure of how to proceed. I hate that. Front of house should always make patrons feel seen and be prepared to assist or answer any questions. We ordered the fried shrimp appetizer, pork belly bowl, and spicy chicken sandwich. The appetizer arrived promptly in a disposable tray. The pork belly bowl arrived shortly thereafter in a to-go/disposable/meal prep dish. Our spicy chicken sandwich was delayed and once it was ready, was handed off to a take out order patron sitting by the entrance. Once the mistake was realized by my husband and I, as well as the to go individual, the employee simply took the item back from that party and brought it to our table. It was unwrapped, in a disposable to-go paper boat, previously handled by another patron. It was incredibly unprofessional and we just wanted to be done with the entire experience at that point. The shrimp appetizer was hot, crispy, and tasty. The pork belly bowl was fine, nothing to write home about. I was so put off by the change of hands of the spicy chicken sandwich that I didn't even eat it. Shame that we tipped at the register before we had a chance to truly discern the cuisine, service and establishment as a whole. I do not anticipate returning as a result of our experience. read more

These guys came out swinging. Every other restaurant in Tehachapi should take a page from 4 Seasons. To start, they have a website, which for some reason almost no other restaurant here does--it's perplexing--what is this, 1980? Not only that, but you can easily order right from their website--shocking. Their menu is perfect ... not too many items, and not too few. If Gordon Ramsey came into town, he would nod in agreement. And the items they have, they have perfected. At this point, we've tried most of the menu, and we love ALL of it. These guys know what they're doing, and it's refreshing. My favorite is probably the spicy chicken sandwich--even better than Chick-Fil-a. But honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. A bonus--the owner is a super nice, down-to-earth human who is humble and wants criticism--but honestly, I have none. Well, maybe it would be cool if they did something with that extra space in the patio (live music hint hint), but other than that, best restaurant in town. Spending a few days in Tehachapi and decided to try this eatery for lunch. I tried their original chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and pork potstickers. All were delicious. The potstickers really hit the spot - tasty inside and crispy on the outside, just as they should be. The chicken sandwich was so filling that I had 1/2 for lunch and the other 1/2 for dinner. They have a lovely patio area for dining. The interior was clean. Since I was doing takeaway, I didn't pay much attention to the eating area. Friendly and polite counter service. I misheard the young man helping me and he was kind enough to repeat his question just a tad louder, and in a nice manner. For this older woman, that kind of courtesy was much appreciated. The only downside is parking. I had to circle the block a couple of times to find a spot to park. This was probably because I picked noon to grab my food and there are several, popular restaurants in this area. Just know that there is no dedicated parking lot for this place. read more

I love supporting our local restaurants - but this one just can't get their act together. Don't get me wrong, the menu is great! When they opened a couple years ago the chicken sandwich used to be thick and chicken could be seen from outside of the bun. We just ordered two chicken sandwiches for dinner at $10 each and felt ripped off when we got home. The chicken on each was thin and clearly a 1/2 or 1/3 portion, leaving a solid inch of bun all around. We called the restaurant to ask what had happened to the sandwiches and were answered by a slow moving cashier that answered the phone "Hold on," then set the phone down on the counter for 10 minutes while taking orders and forgetting the person on hold. While sitting on hold we called the restaurant from another phone, but he had the phone off the hook making it so all incoming calls are hung up on. He eventually remembered after a casual conversation we could hear, and we asked to talk to the manager. No manager. Can we talk to the owner? He could take our number and have the owner call us. If the owner cares he can read this review and try to get his restaurant in order. Tehachapi's other restaurants are far more consistent and we'll be eating out elsewhere. That type of service from behind the counter has happened nearly every time we've been in there. I doubt we'll ever give the place a try again. read more
