I went in to see what the new restaurant is like. There was no social distancing and the service staff did not mask (except the cashier). I don't know about you, but I don't want (potentially) infected DNA on my food. Don't go there unless you like living on the edge. We had the Thai ice tea first, everything looked and smelled so good that we went back the next day to eat. We had the Hanna Chicken, the chicken noodle soup, shrimp noodle bowl and they were all fantastic. Used to be so great to get a pork belly bowl with fresh veggies, but sadly the pork belly was rubbery not crisp. Also has a new sauce that makes it a congealed mess. And the amount of veggies has been lacking in all the bowls we've gotten here lately. Used to have the nicest staff, now a sour older blonde lady with attitude made us feel unwelcome. So happy they opened in Tehachapi. They had a good selection of milk teas (with or without boba). I had the brown sugar milk tea and it was very good. The menu is comprehensive with a wide variety of salads, bowls and sandwiches. My Hainan chicken bowl was excellent and fresh. Hubby had the teriyaki bowl and he enjoyed having chicken, beef and shrimp included. We will be going back! read more

Ok, I've only had the spicy chicken sandwich... no slaw & extra sauce. And IT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. I mean... YOU HAVE TO TRY IT. My mother was blown away too and she's not a fan of spicy chickens. I understand this place is new. I understand there are "kinks". That said, the service was really poor. Three other tables that ordered their food 15-20 minutes after we ordered were served ahead of us. It was brought to the owners attention, and they never bothered to follow up with us to see if anything had improved, or could improve. We were there nearly 90 minutes total, and not once did anyone stop by to check on us, other than to deliver our food nearly an hour after we had ordered it. The Bulgogi bowl was okay... I've had a lot better elsewhere. The orange chicken kids meal we ordered was soggy... maybe that's their style, but I expect more of a crispier cook on the skin (and generally have had it at other Vietnamese places)... just not our taste. My wife's sandwich was decent. We didn't try any of the boba, but have heard good things about that. We'll try it again, but it's going to be a while after our experience today. read more
