Came for late night Tacos with my cast mates. The ambience well if you looking for drunk Latin me. And playing a live Dj from not sure where that is old and out of touch well this is the spot for you. It's a small spot nothing flashy about it. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I had tostadas. They were good. The meat was tender and the topping were fresh.

Who doesn't like Mexican? You can't go wrong with Mexican Cuisine and this place gets it right. My last visit occurred while NYC still had some Covid19 restrictions. With or without those restrictions, I'm very strict/cautious about covid precautions. I made this clear to the restaurant workers and they obliged my requests by seating my companion and I in their back room. So we had a table and room basically to ourselves. That great start was followed by some awesome, large portion tacos and tostadas. I ordered more than I could eat but I was glad to have a snack for later. I remember having some fantastic, strong margaritas on top. This place is really the perfect example of keeping things simple and giving you the most "bang for your buck." If you're hungry, and in the vicinity, this should be your spot.

Came here for lunch with my classmates. We have been here a few times before but this time we all got steak quesadilla's. The staff here is very warm and inviting. The atmosphere is laidback and they play nice music in the background. The food is fairly inexpensive and yet very tasty. This is a new spot i would come back to whenever i am in this area.

This is only 1/4 of the serving you get with the bag. Chips for DAYS.

Their chef really knows how to cook! Everything I've tried is absolutely delicious and their servings are huge. When you order a bag of chips, you literally get an entire bag of chips. It might be lame to get a grilled cheese at a place that mainly serves Mexican food. But this is exactly what I do because just like the rest of the menu, it tastes great. Only negative is that some items can be a bit too oily, like their empanadas and chips. I really like their avocado salad which comes with fresh avocado, tomatoes, radish, cucumbers, green peppers, and a side of limes. And you HAVE to get their sweet plantains--one of the best I've had. Besides their wonderful food and portions, they are super reliable. My order is always right and I can trust that they'll always be super quick with delivery.

We. Ate. So. Much. Foooodddd. Absolutely delicious and our server Dianna was a pure delight ! Mojitos perfectly made - tequila shots! - food! Dessert ! Happy full and a bit toasty - would return again for all of it and more. Molcajete- definitely a full meal for 2 with all that spicy broth under all that meat ! But who can resist more food ! Honestly the best 3 leches I've had in a long time with that strawberry sauce ! Loved it !

CAUTION! During their happy hour they charged me $38 for two margaritas. They hardly speak English. When I asked for an explanation she said they margaritas are typically $18 but their happy hour is $15. Very hard to believe being that this is a hole in the wall and their drinks are very watered down. Also here is a picture of their menu two years ago that show their margaritas are $8 at full price....even if they went up because of inflation I doubt it would go up to $18 which an upscale bars price for such a cocktail.

The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the space itself is cozy and charming. The food and drinks are consistently phenomenal. I've probably tried just about everything on the menu at this point, and not a single dish has ever disappointed. Even though I don't usually like salmon, theirs is prepared so well that I actually enjoy it. Some of my personal favorites are the birria tacos, tortilla soup, and the wet burrito. The drinks are just as impressive, with a secret sangria recipe that's always a hit. My go to is the frozen watermelon margarita, refreshing and delicious every time. As a longtime regular, I can confidently say that once you try La Casita, you'll be hooked and want to come back again and again.

We tried a bunch of stuff and the star was definitely the soft scrambled egg tostada, the masa pancakes and coffee tres leches cake. These are a must try! Good to try was also the fried oaxacan cheese but at $14 for 3 pieces, it's not worth a repeat order for me. These were skippable to be honest: mega thick bacon (just ok) home fries (meh) The chilaquiles (pork chorizo, salsa ranchera, crema, queso fresco, sunny up eggs) lacked flavor for a dish with so much going on. Service was pretty quick.

Between 5 people - that wasn't too much food at all. I was mostly full after the meal. The ceviche, tuna and prawns split between 5 is basically one bite each. For the apps- the guac and tuna were my faves. The chicken and steak were much larger portions. Both were good but I liked the chicken milanesa more. It was fried perfectly and flavorful. Alright - now for the drinks. I wasn't particularly impressed by the cocktail menu. Mostly everything seemed on the sweeter side so I ordered a mezcal cocktail off menu and my one criteria for the drink was for it not to be too sweat. The bartender came back with a pink drink with a sugar rim. Basically a cosmo with mezcal - made me & my friends LOL. My overall review of the place is in between good and great. Fun atmosphere and good ambiance.

The tacos here live up to the hype!…read more My friends and I came here for dinner on a weeknight. Around 6:30pm, it was easy for the four of us to snag a table in the back, near the back patio, but there is some seating in the front part of the restaurant as well. I ordered one of their mezcal cocktails with a Tajín rim (El Amante) which was yummy then we started with an order of chips and salsa, chips and guacamole and esquites. The esquites was fantastic, but we wished the guac was larger and came with more chips. For my entree, I ordered a tripa taco and a cecina taco. I cannot decide between a favorite because they were both so good. The tripa was crispy and tender in all the right places. I was worried about the cecina taco being too salty but that wasn't the case, it was perfection. We all appreciated how they served each taco with double corn tortillas, so they held up well. And of course, we couldn't leave without trying the churros. They were just the right size 2 people to share in my opinion but we were all pretty satisfied by then so we were ok splitting 4 ways. Our waiter was really funny and checked up on us regularly. The music here was also great (a lot of Bad Bunny), and the decor was on point. Good food and a great atmosphere!

There's a casual front area with high tables and stools, but if you want table service there is a seating area in the back, and even a backyard space for temperate seasons. We were only one of three parties there so our food came out fast and hot. I enjoyed the chicken taco most, the seasoning was just right and there was a slight smoky char on the meat that beat out the flavor of the shrimp taco. Pozole was spicy and hot, so satisfying on a cold day. They run happy hour and Taco Tuesday specials, so there are even better deals in store at this spot, a true neighborhood taqueria.
