The employees were really nice and very friendly, prices very reasonable, but food and coffee was meh. My husband wasn't wowed by his bagel sandwich and he asked for scrambled hard eggs on it but they still came fried with undercooked yolk. I ordered a fruit bowl and it was a decent portion of pineapple, strawberries, bananas and another fruit I didn't care for, but some of the pineapple was brown. I could tell it was fresh though and I appreciated that. We ordered coffee and cold tea. My americano was ok ... a little too dark for my liking. They do offer a lot of alternative milk options which is nice although it's an extra charge (only $.50 which isn't bad). Overall being a little generous given the cashier (maybe owner) was very personable. But not sure I'd revisit. However, I like supporting small businesses and it stayed fairly busy so maybe we just ordered the wrong things. For me that the only food option I could order given my dairy, gluten, and soy allergies. Based on the business response, I may try it again. Kindness goes a long way and like I said the employees were all very nice! A few more allergy friendly options would be nice. I love this place so much that I am always more than willing to drive 15 minutes from home just for it. The vibe is cozy without feeling claustrophobic because of all the windows. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. And the food is so fresh and delicious! 3rd Place probably has my favorite matcha around, and I love their chai as well. Only downside is they're a little pricey. Let's be honest though, it's just a fact for most small coffee shops! A sacrifice I'm willing to make to support our local small businesses. Unfortunately I feel like this place takes way too many short cuts and food quality is suffering. Ordered the brochacho burrito after seeing people rave about it on yelp. The potatoes were not crispy, the eggs were badly over cooked and rubbery, overly scrambled to the point where it was just tiny little pieces of rubbery eggs it wasn't very pleasant. The salsas here are honestly embarrassingly bad. We live in California you can't have crappy watered down salsas. The green was flavorless and so was the red. Oddly enough the red one had a peppery flavor to it? Plz do better or change your source of salsas there are better companies out there who do it right. The chipotle sauce was overly sweet. Ordered the egg bites and they were also slightly dry and rubbery (and unevenly microwaved - slightly cold still had to ask for it to be microwaved again. Coffee was ok. Excellent place to seat down, eating and relaxing. They have a breakfast menu, then it changes to lunch menu! We came on a Friday around 12:45 pm (Lunch menu). The place was not crowded at all. Seating inside and outside available. Free WiFi. Good place to come and bring in your laptop or just to chill. All staff personnel were very kind, welcoming, and friendly. He gave us really good recommendations, since it was my first time there. We had the BLT sandwich, you can taste all the fresh ingredients on a warm toast. It was really good. Prices is reasonable also. I also had the Vietnamese Coffee, I wanted to try it just because it has condensed milk in it (Huge fan of condensed milk lol) and it also have two expresso shots! This is my go to place to come on the weekends, bring my laptop to get some work done, order my breakfast (bagel is good! breakfast burrito is good too) and work here for 2-3 hours. I visited this place just a few days after they opened. The interior is modern-industrial and currently lacking much in the way of decor. There are around ten indoor tables and half a dozen patio tables. Aside from coffee (Intelligentsia is served here) they also have pastries, bagel sandwiches, salads, and sandwiches. At the time of this writing the menu is very limited. I ordered a hot vanilla latte and a smoked turkey sandwich and ate at one of the indoor tables. I picked up my coffee at the counter while the sandwich was soon brought to my table. The vanilla latte was superb, served at immediate drinking temperature. Both the slightly sweet vanilla flavor and the smooth taste of the coffee roast were equally distinguishable and enjoyed. The sandwich contained thick slices of deli turkey (the compressed meat type), provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. It was warmed in a panini press (my deduction based on the imprints on the bread). It was served with ordinary potato chips. The sandwich was filling! Even though I am not a fan of the processed turkey that was used it was still pretty good (although I wouldn't order again). Staff here were all very welcoming and nice. I just stumbled upon this place when checking the trailhead for Whiting after the mountain lion sighting. It is literally steps away from the trail head at foothill by the Ralph's center. I talked to John the owner and after ordering a breakfast burrito and coffee he explained to me that's why he started this place. A lot of places you go to and they have a good breakfast burrito and bad coffee or vice versa. This place has both good coffee and legit breakfast burrito and other breakfast. Needs a lot of improvement. Misleading information presented on Yelp photos and store menus, which customers like myself use to decide on picking a place to order from and drive over to. This is regarding a take-out order. Seems like minimal effort was put in to completing this order knowing the customer would drive away without being able to fully check out what they received. Brochacho burrito- ingredients used are kept to the bare minimum. You can barely see any avocado in the burrito. It's as if someone smeared the smallest spread of it and definitely doesn't look like the photo they uploaded themselves on Yelp. Hawaiian Fruit Salad- placed under the "Bowls" category and charging $8 for it, but it's definitely more like a fruit CUP. Based on the photos of the dine-in presentation of it, you'd think it'd be put in a to-go bowl or a clear salad container to fit the same amount. But instead, it seems I got a much smaller portion fit in a small cup and it wasn't even filled to the top. Missing ingredients such as one of the main fruits, papaya, and almonds. If you're out of ingredients, that should be communicated with the paying customer to see if it can be replaced with something else. Customer service was 5 's they were REALLY nice and welcoming. As someone who is on the road all the time I loved that they had other meat options. I don't eat pork and most breakfast places only serve pork options. However, the chicken did taste like it was pre packed and frozen a little dry. It would have loved it if they cooked their own chicken. Now the green salsa was a little watery it almost tasted like water with seasoning. I've been here twice now and overall the food is actually very good, so tasty - flavor of food I would give 4 stars. This two star review is more due to a labeling error the staff made on the food on my second trip. On my most recent order, I ordered a vegan breakfast burrito and a bacon breakfast burrito. I personally had the vegan breakfast burrito, since I am vegan and have been for 8/9 years now. One burrito had written on it "vegan" and the other burrito had written on it "bacon". Everything seemed amazing. I took 2 bites of my "vegan" labeled burrito to realize it was the bacon one, since there was a really pungent/strong flavor that I just don't commonly taste in my food (I also opened it up to find bits of bacon). I opened the "bacon" labeled burrito to see that this was actually the vegan burrito with the veggies. I don't know how much bacon I actually ate in those two bites but I mean... I wasn't very happy about it and I think its a really big deal to properly label food. I know this was not on purpose and very likely just oversight but again I think its a super big deal. I have no desire to eat any animal flesh ever again for the rest of my life, and to inadvertently eat it did not make me feel good for my own personal beliefs. For vegans, double check your food is the vegan food if your order is combined with meat product items. I would still say the food is great and the staff are always very nice the 2x's I've been. ***UPDATE*** Right after I posted this review, I went to search vegan reviews, if any, for this place. This same month, on July 12, a user named Zoe posted the same issue about the staff mislabeling a vegan and sausage burrito...... that's very unfortunate. :/ read more

On our very first day of moving to the area, my girlfriend and I decided to stop by and get a pick-me-up. It seems like the owner has a great relationship with the staff because the customer service is laid-back, but top notch. On my subsequent trips, I found out that some of the plants that provide some flavoring to the coffee are home-grown! The interior is warm, spacious, and minimalist. The staff is friendly and provides great service. The prices are competitive. The iced chai latte I ordered was quite pleasant as often the taste is that of a powder/syrup or it can be very watery or bland. This was a concoction that focused on actual tea and was quite satisfying. The owner had indicated that they want to keep it simple and serve quality product.
