We walked in and the staff were very friendly, took our stuff and asked what kind of soap we wanted. The regular detergent has a scent. We didn't want the scent and so, chose the organic soap. Bingo, the right decision. Our clean clothing was ready about 6 hours later, beautifully folded and wonderfully clean. The cost was completely reasonable. If we need this service again, we will be back to use their services.

However, I ended up messaging here on yelp since I did see so many reviews about it! The told me to call to setup an account for pickup/delivery. I called again today and when I asked to set up an account, the man hung up the phone on me. I'm disappointed because I was really excited to try out the pickup/delivery service everyone is raving about! However, it looks like I won't be able to.

The woman at the counter was friendly the first few times I stopped in and acknowledged my presence by giving me a little nod and sometimes a hello. Within a few weeks, I noticed that she turns her head away when I come in and does so for most customers as well. Unless I have a question, I basically just avoid eye contact. My roommate dropped his laundry off here once and said the same woman added 2 pounds to his order in front of his eyes. She insisted on charging him for 2 pounds over even after "fixing" the scale. He took his laundry and hasn't come back.

Stumbled upon Boerum Hill Dry Cleaners and felt like it was the one thanks to its high rating and proximity. Went last Thursday and the woman there was SO NICE which is so important to me. I was sad to leave my old tailor as we had built a good rapport over 10 years, but she really helped me feel comfortable as I tried on the dresses and she pinned them. I dropped off three dresses for simple shortened hemlines and one zipper fix. She told me to come back next Thursday (yesterday) and charged me $70. perfect. In the city I was paying 60$ for ONE HEMLINE so this was a dream. I pick up my dresses and must say they are absolutely perfect. The hems are impeccable and the man there was so nice! I contacted them in advance after…read morereading about their experience with high value vintage items, and contacted their WhatsApp. I sent them a list of the specific items which were high value vintage pieces, and when I handed my items to them for delivery, I had even marked each item with post-it notes. The Happy Cleaners team confirmed they received all these communications. Lo and behold, when I got my items back, they had PIERCED THE FABRIC of several of my items with pins to hold them on the cheap hangers. They did not do this on the seam or anything, just straight through the fabric. The gravity left small holes in my items, a $4,000 vintage silk dress and an $800 vintage wool skirt. They claimed they put pins through my items because the items "wouldn't stay on the hanger otherwise." This is ridiculous because the skirt had specific loops sewn into it for hanging, and the dress could have been easily folded in half and hung over the center of the hanger. They said they could take the items back and "iron out the holes," which is ridiculous because silk and wool CANNOT be ironed. I told them no, I did not trust them with my items, and I wanted to speak to the manager for compensation. I was told I would be called back - FOUR SEPARATE TIMES. I kept calling and asking why they had not called me back yet, and the employee kept telling me the manager was not in the office and that he would call me back soon. He never did and it has been 9 days. NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR VALUABLE ITEMS HERE! I am filing a chargeback with my credit card company and considering small claims court.
