Do not trust them with your items--Unprofessional and dismissive. I am beyond disappointed with my experience here. I brought in my high-end couch cushion covers (Crate & Barrel quality) for cleaning. When I picked them up, I immediately noticed that one cover was completely ruined--the texture was destroyed and looked nothing like the other. As someone who works in customer service, I remained cordial and calm while asking what happened. Instead of taking responsibility, the owner became incredibly defensive. She tried to blame "sun damage," which was impossible as these cushions are kept in the exact same environment. When I requested a small price concession ($10-$15) since the service clearly wasn't worth the full $50 given the damage, the situation turned unprofessional. The owner began pointing her fingers at me and yelling that I had "bad customer manners" simply for trying to have a fair conversation about my ruined property. I was shocked by the lack of accountability and the sheer rudeness I faced as a young woman just looking for fairness. It was an accident that turned into an insult. There are at least five other dry cleaners in the immediate area--save your money and your furniture and go to any of them instead. She's also super encouraging for me who is trying to learn Korean, and she helps me a ton each time I come in by speaking in Korean to me. I had a dress that I needed shortened. Just a straight hem with a sheer top fabric and a loose lining. My regular seamstress was on vacation, so I went to 333 Cleaners, next door to my condo. The fitting went well and I was given a ticket before I left and was told the dress would be ready in a few days...so far, so good. When I returned to pick the dress up I saw that she had sewn the lining into the hem, which changed the look of the dress a bit, but the work was good and I was happy with it. Then, she tells me the cost is $78, which seemed high for a straight hem. I asked what was driving the cost and was told the fabric was delicate and required more care. Okay, I accepted this without arguing or making a fuss as I should have asked prior to approving the work. I paid, smiled and thanked her. She didn't say anything, so I thought maybe she didn't hear me and I repeated myself. Apparently, she was annoyed that I asked about the cost and was now ignoring me. I thanked her one last time and said to have a good night. No response. Of course, 333 Cleaners doesn't have to appreciate their neighbors or customers, though it does seem like an odd way to run a business. Thankfully, there are other, friendlier dry cleaners in the area who are more than happy to treat their customers with respect. read more

I wish there was a zero star option. My fiancée dropped off pants to be hemmed. When she picked them up they were obviously uneven. She requested them to be fixed and the owner told my fiancée their tailor is a professional and she is just uneven.... How is that possible? The owner said it would cost another $20 to send it back. My fiancée said she already paid, and should not have to pay twice for one alteration. The owner eventually agreed to send them back to the tailor. When she picked them up the owner informed her that she spoke with the tailor and the tailor said he is a professional and my fiancée is just 'uneven'. They pinned the pants so they would look even but when she came home and took the pin out it was obvious no work was done on the pants and they were still uneven. I wish I looked her first at previous reviews, as there are similar stories. I have had small issues previous myself going in with shirts being wrinkled and refused change when paying in cash, but never this level of disrespect to a customer. Lauren at 333 dry cleaners is so lovely to work with. I took a dress in that had stains from a year ago. She cleaned it twice and the dress came out perfectly. No stains! Such a friendly staff and they take credit cards. My dog will not let me pass the building without saying hello to the staff. So nice to have in the neighborhood. read more

I'm sad to leave a bad review, as this was my go-to spot for nearly six years. Always had positive experiences. Two weeks ago I took in a brand new sweater that needed dry cleaning (perils of having a toddler). It was a men's medium sweater with "dry clean only" on the label when I dropped it off. The sweater I got back was an XXXXS (it was very comical looking actually). I don't know how this could happen short of washing / drying on high heat. It was obviously not dry cleaned. They offered to "reverse shrink it" - this worked about as well you'd expect. I understand that mistakes happen. Not a big deal. The reason I'm giving a poor review is because of how poorly this was handled from a service standpoint. I was treated rudely, told it "looked fine" after reverse shrinking, and then told I should take it up with the sweater manufacturer bc this is somehow the fault of the sweater itself?. Very disappointing, particularly after spending a significant sum here over the years. Really expected better customer service... (again - there's really just no way they treated this properly... it shrunk like 4x it's original size). I guess I'd just say: don't trust them with anything of value. read more

A truly horrible customer service experience. I left a shirt with a grease stain for dry cleaning. When I picked up the shirt, there were white spots in place of the grease and residual food matter on the hem of the shirt, where the stain originally was. I tried to show the woman working there, who told me it was because it is an "old shirt" (it is not) and kept asking why I was coming in as a first-time customer and "making trouble" (she said this to me, repeatedly, as if I were being rude by pointing out the obvious stains and even pieces of debris that were still on the shirt). I asked if there was anything they could do, and she reluctantly offered to send it off for cleaning again, though without giving me any number or identification for picking the shirt back up. I declined having it cleaned again (I wasn't sure what was going to happen to it, without being given anything identifying for pickup) and was told never to return to the business again. It was shocking to me that such a simple request (is there anything else that can be done about this) was met with hostility! read more

I took a bridesmaid dress here to be altered. I didn't need anything crazy done, just a little bit taken in around the bust. The dress was fairly inexpensive so I didn't want to spend a lot to get it altered. I thought this place did a great job! I was able to just do a walk in, quickly try it on, the worker noted where the alterations needed to be and it was completely finished in just 4 business days. Quick service for an excellent price in my opinion. I will be back. read more

Very close to home and really, really good at alterations. The staff is super friendly and the prices are pretty fair, given the neighborhood. I have taken some odd bits here to be repaired and she has come through every single time, including a swimsuit hook thingy which the store I bought it at refused to take it back (swimsuit rule?) even though it was defective. I popped in and asked before I tossed the brand new over priced thing out and for $3 bucks they fixed it perfectly. Almost magically, Things are ready when they promise, and quite often sooner. More than once I got the wave when walking by letting me know my stuff was ready a day or two early. Can't beat that! And did I mention how nice they are? read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS I brought two pairs of jeans in to be hemmed, both over $200, paid extra for the hem as well as 30% more than the alterations on Lincoln Ave, took time off work to pick them up during store hours and the owner who does alterations did such a poor job on the hem that I can't even wear them. I complained to the employee and she was unhelpful. I spoke to the owner and she denied my complaint and asked me to take time off work again tomorrow to again discuss the issue. I explained I didn't feel I should pay for such a poor job and so she said she would void my credit card for a refund. After my card was voided, the employee then held my clothes (including dry cleaning and my jeans) hostage and would not return them to me. I complained again and the employee was again unhelpful. Spoke to the owner again and she again denied that I should be unsatisfied and again asked me to return another time to discuss rather than sort it out then. I did not nor ever again want to return to this business, so I called the police and filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. When the police came, it was clear the employee again was unreasonable and that I could either pay or take the business to small claims court. I was advised to go ahead a pay for the service and dispute the costs, because it was clear the employee nor the owner had any understanding of customer service nor that I should trust my belongings with them any longer. THIS BUSINESS HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN CHICAGO. The alterations are POORLY DONE and the cost of all services is MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THEN OTHERS Within a 3-4 block radius (I have used all of them and only tried this for the first time as I moved and this was the closest that does alterations). I am a strong supporter of small business, which was a main reason I tried their dry cleaning service while also trying one even closer to my house, that is organic and less expensive, but a chain. If you want to encourage good customer service in Lincoln Park, I encourage you to NOT GO TO 333 Cleaners. read more

I chose this place because it is right by my bus stop. I can drop off my clothes at 7am before work and pick them up the next day at 6pm when I get home from work, The lady is very nice. Dry cleaning is $3ish. I've also gotten a pair of jeans altered here. She charged $21 for an original hem and did a really good job. Regular hem would be $13. Definitely a reliable place to go to if you live in the area. read more

This place has excellent customer service (the owner is a one woman show and has a knack for remembering your name even after one visit) and does a great job with clothes. Very surprised by the good ratings this place has received. I took several clothing items with holes that needed to be stitched up (I've had repairs done like this before at other dry cleaners in the area without any issues). I dropped them off on a Wednesday and was told by the individual working to pick them up 7 days later. When I went back the following week to pick up on the date above (date listed on the ticket), the same individual was working. I gave them my ticket and they claimed that "they thought it was the next Wednesday", and that the jeans were not repaired/ready, needless to say I was confused considering both the verbal confirmation the week before and the date listed on the ticket. Then, after no apology, no explanation for any of this, and no repairs done to the jeans that I'd dropped off completed, she asked me to take the jeans home and wash them, then bring them back for the repairs I'd requested a week before. I was speechless. I took my business to another local, less rude dry cleaner, and the repairs were done beautifully in less than 3 days, I would highly recommend that others do the same. read more

They always do a great job and always on time, and they are ecology friendly and also just plain friendly. We don't live walking distance, so we need to drive. There are no fifteen minute parking zones right outside, but we always find a temporary spot on the street near the store. They are so quick checking our clothing in or out,, we never need to pay for parking. They accept credit cards. read more

I had two shirts altered here before a wedding. I requested to pick them up a specific day two weeks after dropping off (they said it would only take one week for alterations) since I was traveling a lot at the time. They requested I pick them up the next day instead. I said this was ok, but only if I could pick them up at 7am that morning to which they agreed. Unfortunately they were not ready when requested and I had to take time off from work that afternoon and cab back up to get them before my flight that evening. The alterations appear to be completed as requested though. read more
