I was really excited to eat here, but left really disappointed. For starters, there almost wasn't enough parking. I watched people park in the neighboring business's parking lot, which I was just not going to do. I eventually round a place and made my way to the door. There was a wait that day but since it was just two of us dining, we were given a seat right away. Now I hope that this doesn't seem super petty, but I was given a low seat (short table, two chairs) and I had nowhere to put my purse. The chairs are rounded on the back so I had to set it on the sticky floor which I just didn't love. Service was pretty darn good BUT, I think I had 3 different gentlemen help me that day. One took the order, another brought me food and another refilled my drink. My 3 stars comes from the food unfortunately. I got the wings, which unless I wanted a $26 steak, was about the only option outside of a salad that didn't contain carbs. They were bone dry. I mean, I got one almost decent bite from each wing and the rest was dried skin and dried meat. They were not burnt in any way, so I know its simply the preparation and sending them back would have only resulted in an extended wait and the same dry outcome. Second, I ordered a side salad with blue cheese, which I got, but A- It was small for the price and B- it came pre-dressed with the plum dressing. I ordered the blue cheese dressing because I am completely unaware of the ingredients/nutritional info in the plum dressing. Lastly, the blue cheese dressing was as thin as water. It was very strange and didn't really taste like blue cheese. My mothers tenderloin looked wonderful and I snagged a bite of her delicious sweet potato fry, but my lunch fell pretty short. Not saying I won't go back... Hopefully I do and can come back here and write a raving review. read more

Just got back from a very enjoyable lunch. Clean and provided socially distanced seating. We sat at the bar. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great beer selection!!!! I had the best French Dip that I have ever had. Lean and tasty beef. Wonderful horseradish aioli and a surprising addition of arugula. Melty havarti on the softest sourdough hoagie bun. I am an insurance adjuster from Chicago out here working the storm. Stopped by for a beer and a snack. Amanda was a stellar bartender. 5 stars. Recommended local beers that I hadn't had before. Ordered the chorizo bowl to go. Bad. I dont know what they put in it but it wasn't chorizo. Looked like a European pork hard sausage. The pasta tasted like a bagged Alfredo sauce. If you've been to the 30hop in Coralville then you know what to expect. The service is always great, the rooftop is an enjoyable experience (weather permitting) and the food has earned rave reviews from all of my out of town friends I've taken here. The only two downsides- the parking lot is always full, and the businesses nearby have signs discouraging parking in their lots, but since there is no on street parking it doesn't leave many options if you can't find a spot in their lot. The fries can also be a little on the salty side for my taste, but all the other food is excellent. read more

So we "Yelped" this restaurant on our way from the airport. We were "stepping out of our box" here and super glad we did. Bottomless mimosas started off this delightful trip to 30hop but it didn't end there. Our food was delicious. Not your "run of the mill" choices either. A lot of thought and time went into designing these meals. Gluten free, vegan, and more... you can have it all here. To top it all off, our server was soooo good. Happy, helpful, and 100% on point! Went here on a Sunday night and even though the place was full, they were quickly able to turn a booth for us. Our waiter took plenty of time to go over the menu since it was our first time there. The atmosphere was bar like, but also suitable for families. Our food was hot and fresh. My wife had the fish tacos and I had the Yaki bowl. Both were mouth watering creations. 30hop is a great addition to our city, my wife and I have been here twice and both time had a great experience. The upstairs is a nice place to go and have a drink and wait while you're waiting for your table. Then when you're seated the waiter comes and takes care of you. Food quality is excellent. The first time we were there the manager came over and asked if we enjoyed our visit and asked about the service and how the food tasted. I will return often. read more

They have the impossible Burger! It tastes great! Ask for no cheese or aoli if vegan. Fries are seasoned. I've only ordered to go or delivery. I've never eaten inside the restaurant, so I don't know how the service is, but to go orders are usually ready in 15 minutes. read more

This place is outstanding. Originally from Iowa, now living in a warmer climate. On a recent visit back we had the opportunity to stop in for lunch. Hadn't been here since it changed names last and 30 Hop far exceeded my expectations. Korean BBQ sandwich was the perfect amount of spicy and flavorful. Fries were excellent and i don't even normally get excited over fries. Beer selection excellent and mostly local. Service was spot on even though they were reasonably busy.
