Worst I've ever been treated. Aleah was a terrible waitress. She came by my table twice in 60 minutes. I was there at 3:00 so it was not busy at all. She noticed I wasn't eating the disgusting appetizer and never said a word. Then I finally had to go up to the hostess desk to get my ticket. We had such a great time popping in for happy hour! We had way too much food of course but it was so good! We got 1 of each taco, the queso, and the Spring rolls. Sadly those did not get pictures because by the time I thought of it, we had stuffed our faces. Emily our hostess was a sweetheart going over the drink pairings and choices and our waiter definitely needs a raise after dealing with our wild order. So much fun and a delightful pub. This was a fun little hang out place with great food in Cedar Rapids. I would definitely go back. They had a great beer selection and a wide variety of menu items. The menu was creative enough to be fun and different but not too out there. The beer selection was also great and they had a great happy hour! First of all the fries were super, super good. The perfect amount of crispiness, but still soft in the middle and very flavorful. We had the queso to start out our meal and enjoyed it thoroughly. I had the chicken burger and thought it was super yummy. Some chicken burgers can be very dry, but this one was cooked perfectly. I also tried the wings and they were delicious as well. I happen to be pregnant right now so I could try the beer or cocktails but would love to go back and give these a try in a few months! read more

We went there Saturday. We left the tip on the receipt. They double charged us. Almost 100 came out of my account. When I called, they did not seem to care. Told me I would have to wait 48 hours to see what happens. Seriously? Took them 10 mins to take the money out on Saturday. Then they took it out again sunday. My checking account is all screwed up. The bank said they cant help me, an 30 hop doesn't care. I dont reccomend leaving a tip through the receipt, use cash. Unless you got extra money to just throw away. There service was not worth an extra $45. Go there at your own risk. Saturday the place is crowded with a bunch of people getting drunk. We just wanted to eat in a friendly atmosphere, instead we got screwed. read more

My Hisband and I have been to both Coralville and Cedar Rapids locations now....both have there own charm. Coralville has a great collection of store around it, for a break from shopping try one of many beers. Cedar Rapids stands alone and has great bites too for the outdoor seating and a drink hit the downstairs for just drinks get some sun on the second floor. For local and many macro options both are great for any beer lover. We recently stop for beers from Decorah Ia. That came highly recommended. In town for a baseball tournament and they accommodated dinner for 30 of us. Everyone raved about the food and beverages. So much so that we returned for night 2 and 3.... It was within walking distance of our hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The Tiki Mule was my favorite. If you haven't tried this place, you should. I live in San Diego ( land of the microbreweries) and come to Cedar Rapids often for work. I heard from a coworker that 30Hop was new to Cedar Rapids and that it was an extension of a business in Iowa City. I was excited to give it a try! I was fortunate to find a single seat at the big beautiful bar on a Thursday evening and perused the large beer menu. The bartenders were attentive and happy to help me any way possible. I told them what I wanted and they offered to let me try it first, awesome!, the selection is fantastic, MANY, 45ish, beers on tap and it's impressive. Oh man guys... We've been here a couple times before, and those times they were very busy and offered fast service. Today was very unacceptable since we arrived at 4:30 pm with a party of 8 and we had no choice but to leave at 5:10 pm since waiting 40 mins for service was unreasonable. We also received our menus and utensils separately by 2 different people. One person of our party had to leave because the wait time for him was too long. Servers noticed and walked past us MULTIPLE times and we still did not get our water or asked if we're ready to order. Tables that were seated AFTER us received menus and waters right away. The place wasn't even that busy since our party of 8 was offered multiple places to sit. It still wasn't packed when we left. Maybe it was just a bad crew today but we are very disappointed with their service and I hope they can improve. read more

Went there to enjoy a few of their many brew selections. ALL of their beers were warm!! The bartender said that the style of beer we were wanting was supposed to be served warm. No matter which one we tried it was warm.. the heads on the bet was 4" at least. Finally the server talked to someone about the issue and they finally checked on the issue .. The manager said they'd been having trouble and the glycol needed to be reset. And it shouldn't take too long..1/2 hr later, still warm. We left. Stopped in for lunch on Saturday. Wife had the bacon, chicken ranch sandwich and loved it. I had tenderloin for the 2nd time here. I must say, the IRL 30 Hop tenderloin is much better. Mine today was way too thick and not pounded enough. This cut of meat had a big piece of fat in the middle. It was also overcooked a bit. Multiple staff came over to ask if I had been helped while waiting for a table which says to me they really care about their customers. Our waiter offered to make my son a Shirley Temple which was a sweet little extra touch. We ordered Umami burger, Bacon chicken and swiss, and my son ordered the Mac and cheese. Easy walk from nearby hotel complex. Fantastic beer selection (plenty of local as well as some micros from farther away). Food was delicious.
