Classy, upscale place with great atmosphere, food and drinks. We like to share the Rueben Sandwich basket with Parmesan fries. Two for one happy hour suds! read more

Good lettuce wraps and hummus and naan. Great happy hour deals. Friendly service. Large space

As many times as I've been here, I've never written a review, so here it goes. LOVE the atmosphere, for some reason it feels like an art deco speakeasy. I've never had a bad experience with the staff, though my friends and I usually sit at the bar. I used to get the Cuban on the pretzel roll back in the day but sadly the pretzel roll went away then so did the Cuban. One constant I've almost always have had is their Parmesan fries, they've always been a highlight either as a side to a burger or as an appetizer. Their version is easily some of the best fries I've ever had. The dipping sauce is on point, I recommend getting two of them. Something that has fallen off in recent years and I keep forgetting that fact, is their cheese wontons. I first fell in love with cheese wontons at Irish Democrat many moons ago and I've been chasing them ever since. They were good here once but not anymore - too much CRUNCHY wonton wrap and not enough cheese. People don't eat wontons for the wrapper, they go for the filling, if they didn't, that would be like going to Paris to see the frame and not the Mona Lisa. For these, the dipping sauce is always the best part of the dish. Overall it was a positive experience as usual. I will return. read more

I had their filet mignon steak sandwich, medium rare. I have been a carnivore for over sixty years and must say this was and will be the finest steak sandwich I have ever had. The service was all what one would expect. The staff there are simply the nicest people. I also had a Bloody Mary before my lunch. It was made with considerable talent and attention to detail. I could almost consider it an appetizer. All in all, simply superb. read more

Food was just ok- not what it used to be. Service was good. Prices are very high compared to others with similar menus. Good ambiance for all occasions. Lots of other options in CR that'd I'd go to next time read more

The atmosphere is upscale and fun. They have amazing happy hour bogo through the week. But the food is the reason to go! I have had every appetizer in the menu and they are all delicious! Tonight we had the chicken Marsala, by far the best I have ever had! The sauce is to die for. We also had the lettuce wraps. Again, the peanut sauce was kick the plate good! I will continue to eat here every time I am in town. read more

Not open when advertised. Didn't answer phone. Went elsewhere. And this was on Superbowl Sunday when they were supposed to open at 11 a.m. Door still locked at 11:15 and no answer on phone at 11:30 read more

What a fun environment and place to visit especially if you're a larger group or family with all different ages! Came here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised with the number of options and the unique flavors they were offering on the menu. I chose the Salmon Caesar and was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes - wow!!! You really get what you pay for, and some, and left feeling full and with leftovers. Only negative comment would be the cleanliness. We had dirty silverware and had to request it be replaced. I also noticed several tables not completely wiped clean and sanitized before new people came to occupy the space, and the floors also could have been better kept clean. Nevertheless, it was a fun place to visit with tasty food and large portions at a great price! read more

Food was good, misleading close time. Waitress was not super welcoming. When we asked what time they close she responded with "well we locked the doors". Sign in the entrance says happy hour until 12am on Saturday, doors were locked at 9:30pm. read more

We were greeted with a smile at the hostess stand. She said it would be 30 minutes so we sat at the bar and had a drink and then our table was ready. We had excellent service and our nachos were amazing. It was very busy, but everyone was happy and having a great time! read more

The food was fantastic. Best coleslaw in town. The ribs were delicious and fell off the bone The service was amazing she checked with us many times gave her a $15 tip should have gave more. read more

Food was excellent, had fish and chips and the brussels sprouts (deep fried, awesome). Drinks were good, atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxed, and the service was courteous and prompt. My party of 3 all enjoyed their meals as well. Second time I've been there, and I've thoroughly enjoyed the experience each time. read more

Disappointed this time. My medium well done hamburger was very dry. I used to love this burger. Price is too high, to leave disappointed. The happy hour has changed since the last time I was there, which has been before Covid hit. They used to have half price appetizers, not any more. They still have 2 for 1 drinks, which makes the price okay. read more

Less than five stars? Why? Because they're too busy all the time? Great food, great beer, great ambience, great service.

I was so excited to take my family out for a nice dinner that had gluten free options. problem was it was not the actual food described. The Fish and chips ended up as plain baked fish with no fries. But was told they could do this dish gf. No flavor . Now the flavor was all in the Cesar salad... strong fishy taste that 3 of us tried and could not bare a 2nd bite. Slaw was great. The steaks that some of the group had were good. Waitress ignored us and we never given water refills. Had to track her down for service at all. Shame we had to give her 17% gratuities when she had not earned any of it. i guess they just had a bad night! read more

Excellent service from our waiter, Ben. I ordered the Zeppelin burger and it was filled with flavor just as described. We lucked out and stopped during happy hour, so I enjoyed not one but two cucumber Moscow mules. Zeppelins is definitely one our favorite restaurants in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. read more

We eat here most times we visit Cedar Rapids. It's fine. Service was ok. Food was okay. Over the years both have decreased in quality, but the prices increase. Not a rave. Just a mediocre restaurant. read more

Zeppelins is such a wonderful experience every single time we go. The food is near perfection, I love that this restaurant has a gluten free menu and takes allergies seriously. I have never had any issues while eating at this restaurant. The happy hour that runs everyday is such always a bonus on top of the wonderful and excellent service we receive from the staff. I wanna give a special shoutout to Ben, who is such a wonderful server and just perfection. He is always excited to see us, makes us feel welcomed and wanted there. He always remembers our drinks, checks out throughout the night and always says when the bill is given he is still around if needed. He is always a pleasure and we love asking for him! We appreciate you! I would also like to give another shoutout to Maddie who is always at the hostess stand, she always make sure we feel special, always has the gluten free menu for us and recalls our name. She's always a light to our visit, we always love walking in and she's there and welcoming us like old friends. We appreciate you so much!! read more

We are frequent flyers at Zeppelins. All the years we have been going to Zeppelins I have never once had a bad experience or a meal I did not like. When I go with somebody who has never been they ask me what's good, and I always say, everything! and I mean everything! read more

They were packed for Happy Hour! Service was amazing and fast even though it was busy! My husband got the Fish & Chips and I did the Rueben Royale and Parmesan Fries. Zeppelins is our go to date night restaurant.. We have eaten almost everything on their menu and everything is delicious! I think our favorite appetizer is still the Parmigiana fries with the onion dip. Oh My! The atmosphere is great. The service staff are friendly and attentive. This is an awesome place for food and conversation. Stop here often. You won't regret it! read more

Just ate at this place for the first time, was recommended by two dear friends. Happy hour is 3-6pm so I had a couple beers. I ordered the Steak Frites which is a 14oz Ribeye with mushrooms and onions on top I question whether it was 14 oz because of the toppings it was hard to tell. The steak marbling was a lot more than usual the onions and mushrooms were delicious as was the steak it was very filling a little under cooked but it was ok. The fries were Parmesan's which were very good and the dip was a smoked onion ranch which was incredible definitely will order the fries again with the dip. Since it was my birthday I received a treat I chose the key lime dessert and it was great. Whipped cream with graham cracker crumbs and evaporated milk very similar to a piece of pie. Server was Madeline H and she was great she had some great recommendations and was very friendly, helpful. I definitely will return. Great ambiance and was very busy. read more

We found this place by searching on Yelp. We first walked in and the hostess was friendly and welcoming. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. I told our waiter two dishes I was going between and to bring me which one he preferred. We had two younger kids with us and even though the restaurant doesn't look kid friendly, it really is. The atmosphere is comforting, and beautiful. Can't wait to come back on a night with no kids and enjoy some drinks. read more

This used to be my go to place when I was working on the north side of the town. Every friday for almost for a year the teams hang out happy hour spot. Happy Hour 2 for 1's is one of the great deals during 4-6pm mon-fri. but just to warn you this place is crowdeddddddddddddddd like throughout the happy hour time. and suddenly at 6 pm you could feel did somebody nuked this place. So watch out. You might be upset (like I get when I don't get any place to sit/stand). It is definitely the best place to be when it is buggy or rainy or snowy outside. I will share a tip - This place has the best quality beers. I moved here from New York and the blue moon beer has never disappointed me, never flat. But in all of Iowa I never got a good blue moon on tap. Food is expensive but you pay for quality. The servers have always been friendly. The guys at bar counter are good but with the lady bar tender I am not a fan. Would act as that you don't exist, seemed rac***. but who cares. I am all for the good time I have had with my colleagues. Also they do seasonal menu, so might be bummed if your looking for their awesome chicken sandwich. read more

This was recommended to us by a local co-worker. We walked in and noticed how dark and inviting the environment. Aviation decor was subtle and well stated. We were immediately seated and our server took our drink order promptly. Food was served within 10 minutes. Meal was delicious. Food was perfect temperature and cooked perfectly. read more

I love the cheese wontons. However it is very dark inside and hard to hear people talking and kinda pricey. I came in for dinner and I had a salad, my friend had a burger and fries, and my other friend had ribs. It came out over $100. Food is decent and the staff are friendly. read more

Upon walking in and being seated immediately, our waitress was very prompt in getting our drink orders. As we browsed the menu, the overall environment was very energetic and intimate at the same time. Having never been there I was very surprised at the size of the restaurant given its location. Never again. The owner deducts a credit card fee from the waitress staff's tips if the customer uses a credit card. What is that???............+3%?? Of course I don't know this for 100% fact, but the staff member who told me...............I believe 100%. You ask, you verify. State of Iowa law is silent about this, but it doesn't make it right. So disappointed. Not the type of place I want to give my money. read more
