It had plenty of seating for Monday dinner time. They had so many beers on tap. The service was good except that it took awhile for our food to come out. It's a very hip bar type of place. Good work for drinks type of vibe. The food looked better than it tasted. It was alright could have been better but still very good. Prices for a drink app and dinner plate came to about $40 a person (with tip). read more

I ate here and couldn't finish my food. I went home to try and feed it to the dog, but even he wouldn't eat it. Now, I'm stuck on the toilet, shitting my brains out. Thumbs down But service and drinks were good would maybe come back for that but no food read more

Atmosphere was great and the restaurant was very clean. Staff was kind, friendly & seemed to help each other and work well together. My food was delicious.. would definitely come back but I took away one star due to the fact I think my sweet potato fries were slightly overcooked and I believe they were a little stingy with sauce... my coworker got a salad and the dressing barely coated the lettuce--he didn't even eat it. My sandwich, while packed with flavor and delicious, could've used a little more of the "truffle sauce" too because that creamy goodness is what made it great! Just could've used a little more especially around the edge of the bread. Solid place. read more

30hop Cedar Rapids had an Oktoberfest special that sounded good, so I had to try it out. We tried the pretzels and chicken curry egg rolls. Both were good, but it was the egg rolls that were the most unique and delicious. The pretzels were soft and the beer cheese was on point. The mustard could clear your sinuses, so beware. :) We were seated right away but the service took a while to get to us. The server made it right by immediately letting us know he would be giving a discount to the meal, and I really appreciate that. The layout of 30hop CR is unique and makes for a great vibe. The menu has a good variety and the bar is great selection of beers and drinks. read more

Great service! Great food! Great ambiance! I had the Crispy Shrimp Bowl, I'd get it again - flavorful, full of various textures and just the right amount of shrimp and extra ingredients! Gabby was outstanding, and if I was hungrier would've for sure tried one of their many apps! I travel a lot for work, and try not to repeat restaurants but I'd love to come back and try something new! read more

I sadly took no pictures at this one. Sorry sorry. Great food! Daughter ended up getting the Terriaki Dragon Bowl, and the rest of us got salads. I got the chicken strawberry salad, it was awesome. Got the full size for more chicken...I didn't eat it all. But that was on me. I would have if I could have. Seating and wait staff were awesome. We never needed for anything, drink was always full. They were also very patient when we took all the time to order. We checked out the upstairs it was awesome, little muggy when we were there so we went with the inside AC in a booth. Everyone was happy,.pricing was just fine. Excited to go back! read more

I will never go back, overpriced food, my daughter's "fresh fruit was warm, slimy and had lots of bruising. After the server noticed and mentioned that the fruit wasn't touched, I informed him the fruit wasn't fresh, he giggled and walked away. Friendly service, delicious food and thirst quenching drinks. Everything on the menu is delicious.

Great beer, good service, great food. Hosts were helpful and friendly, our server came quickly with waters and menus. We had Brussels as an app, and inhaled them they were so tasty! I got the Cobb with Buffalo cauliflower and haven't stopped thinking about it since, yum! The fries were excellent, portions were more than fair (we all had leftovers) and the beer was cold and there's a great selection. I have heard mixed reviews of this place but loved it and would come back any time. read more

Quality of the space was small and not ideal for large groups. Food was decent but took a long time to get the food once it was ordered.

We were happy to find a place for a larger group for a Saturday brunch. While the brunch items are limited, we all found something we loved. I look forward to going back to check out the rest of the menu next time we are in town. read more

I love the vegetarian options at this place! When I worked at Collins, this was our go to place for drinks and food during happy hour with coworkers. The Kitchen fries are the bomb! I miss the Mac N Cheese from the old menu. The impossible umami burger is pretty good too. Lots of food options to try. Must give it a go. read more

We got to the restaurant right at 10 and there was already a line out the door and we had a 30 minute wait. They were understaffed with only one bartender and one waitress for the first hour of service. Once we were seated, we had drink orders and food orders taken right away with quick service! The food was great, no complaints and I would definitely order the yakisoba again. Super filling but light - the perfect lunch. The restaurant is new within the last 5 years so it was nicely updated and had a rooftop. It is pricey though - my yakisoba was almost $20... not sure it was worth the cost. read more

We waited for a table, but I suspect the hostess put my phone number in wrong or something because we were never notified our table was ready. Fortunately we sat at the bar and ordered food after waiting long enough. The food and beer are good, especially the BBQ Mac and Cheese, but it's not worth going unless you can get some type of deal during brunch or happy hour. Atmosphere is nice, but a little diminished when it's busy like it was when we visited. If you're paying full price there, you're paying too much, especially for average at best service. We wanted to go for a quick meal and ended up staying close to two hours kind of against our will. Overall I think there are other places in CR where you can have good drinks and food for a lower price. read more

Really great food! We all got different burgers and all impressed! It was take out so I can't speak on service.

Love this place! Lauren was such a great server and the kitchen was very accommodating to my needs! Definitely plan on coming back!

The good things about this place is the choice of seating. If you want to sit outside on a nice day perfect. Sitting upstairs is very cool. If you want a table inside you can.... Sitting at the bar you can. Sitting in a booth you can. Nice atmosphere. Lots of choices. The food is good. I had the 50/50 burger with fries and my date had a mushroom melt with a glass of wine. Was very good. The waiter was polite and came at the right time. What I did not like was its a bit Pricey. Sandwiches are $16.00 on up. But like I said it was good. The only other thing I was a bit shocked to see is you get charged a usage fee to use a credit card. My bill was $61.00 and then to tack a usage fee on that I think is cheap. But more and more restaurants are doing this. I guess cash is still KING. read more

Excellent food and service. We stopped in for a quick bite to eat and wound up being very pleasantly surprised, both in the food offerings but in the huge variety of beers and mixed drinks. Our waiter was prompt and courteous, being there when we needed him but not hovering and the food was amazing. I had the BLTA burger and bacon-beef patty was fantastic! Portion sizes were large enough we took home leftovers. They also have rooftop seating area but we missed out on that due to a combination of the weather and being there too early. I would highly recommend 30hop. read more

30hop now has THREE locations. Wowza. This Cedar Rapids location is definitely a gotta-try. Why 30hop Rocks. - Happy Hour (Sunday-Thursday, 3-6PM -- get $2 off Iowa Crafts) - Beer Selection (Wowza, 50 different options with emphasis on local brews?!) - Vibe (Gotta love the openness and seating options at this location.) - Bottomless Mimosas on Sunday! (Even has pineapple and cranberry.) - Lunch Pick 2 for $12.50 (Literally something for everyone!) - Rooftop! Can't beat a good rooftop patio and this is one of the few in CR. We popped in for drinks on a Tuesday night with a group of eight or so. The place was dead-- as it was like 430pm. We ordered two rounds of beer. Our server was nice but our experience wasn't as quick or seamless as one would think. Orders were missed and it took a hot minute to get things. Overall pricing is on point, parking is a non-issue and the rotating seasonal menu/beer menu are fab. Stop in at 30hop! read more

Wound up having two meals here today, and different staff for both. Both experiences fantastic. At lunch, manager was running drinks when it was busy, so I'm already inclined to look favorably on the spot when there's someone leading by example. Food is very good, beer selection outstanding, plus cocktails. But the staff in general really made this place today. Knowledgeable and attentive, even when busy. Everyone was friendly and engaging, even when crossing paths with folks who had no direct connection to our table. It's seriously been a long time since I had a positive experience like this, in food/beverage and friendly hosts. Beyond that, we came because we saw photos of the rooftop patio and that's super cool. Apologies that I didn't get a chance to compliment the manager this evening...was busy at lunch with baseball families (we were one) and working on closing when I left tonight. In town a few more days and will be back! read more

We are visiting family in Cedar Rapids and they took us to 30 hop for dinner. The restaurant was very clean and our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu she did in outstanding job. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich. It was delicious. Very tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. The sandwich is absolutely massive. I could need more than half of it but the nice thing was I had the other half for lunch the next day and it was just as good. We also ordered the pretzel bites which were delicious. The upstairs patio is spectacular. Weather permitting I would imagine it might be one of the best patios in Cedar Rapids. We are definitely looking for a to our next visit to Cedar Rapids so we could try this restaurant again. read more

Ehh.....The Ambiance seems like a good place start and it went downhill from there. Traveling through from KC we stopped here after hearing they are opening one down there soon. Monday night so not busy. Seated rooftop and waited 10-15 minutes for waiter to visit with us to get drink order. Then another 10 minutes to get two drinks and two waters. Food: Ehh....took my order wrong but since we waited so long didn't want to wait for correct order. Still charged me for the wrong order (not what I originally ordered) which was more expensive and to boot nickle and dimed us for ranch sides for my kids burgers. After bringing out wrong entree there should have been a correction. Either on the house or half price, etc. My family seemed content but uninspired by food choices Service: pleasant but not very smart with choices like when being late to table and getting food order wrong. I hope this restaurant can learn from this review and do better. I doubt it though. They just didn't seem to care. read more

We tried the Pick 2 lunch special. Potato soup was just okay. Chicken taco was filled with mushy chicken, lots of cilantro, and not much else. The burger and fries were awful. The patty was less than half an inch thick, overcooked and tasteless. The fries were okay, but a child's portion. McDonalds would have been better, and cheaper. Service was fine. Waiter was attentive without being intrusive. read more

I was visiting from out of town and a friend recommended this eatery. EXCELLENT choice! We had shots of tequila, pints of beer, chips & salsa for a starter. I had the Yakisoba Bowl and my husband had the Korean BBQ Steak burger. I would have the Yakisoba every day for the rest of my life it was so so so good!!! Highly recommend! I added chicken (mainly for my children to pick at) but it would have been fine without. I'm annoyed there isn't a changing table in the men's room, and that my friend requested no mushrooms on her burger but they still put them in it. But I'm selfish and MY experience was great! read more

I went with my boyfriend to 30hop and it was so awesome seeing their giant selection of craft beer. I got several tasters of different delicious beers before settling on getting a full pour of Mind Haze (IPA). The atmosphere was calm and delightful. Inside 30hop they have a beautiful upstairs patio with bar and all kinds of seating available, as well as having extensive downstairs seating arrangement (booths, tables, or bar seating). We sat in a booth downstairs and ordered food. Our waitress was very kind and knowledgeable about both their beer and food menus. I ordered the Cali Chicken Burger with no sauce or anything and on a gluten-free bun and a Berry side salad with dressing on the side. It didn't take long before we got our drinks and food.
