My food was delicious.. would definitely come back but I took away one star due to the fact I think my sweet potato fries were slightly overcooked and I believe they were a little stingy with sauce... my coworker got a salad and the dressing barely coated the lettuce--he didn't even eat it. My sandwich, while packed with flavor and delicious, could've used a little more of the "truffle sauce" too because that creamy goodness is what made it great! 30hop Cedar Rapids had an Oktoberfest special that sounded good, so I had to try it out. We tried the pretzels and chicken curry egg rolls. Both were good, but it was the egg rolls that were the most unique and delicious. The pretzels were soft and the beer cheese was on point. The mustard could clear your sinuses, so beware. :) We were seated right away but the service took a while to get to us. The server made it right by immediately letting us know he would be giving a discount to the meal, and I really appreciate that. The layout of 30hop CR is unique and makes for a great vibe. Quality of the space was small and not ideal for large groups. Food was decent but took a long time to get the food once it was ordered.

I will never go back, overpriced food, my daughter's "fresh fruit was warm, slimy and had lots of bruising. Fortunately we sat at the bar and ordered food after waiting long enough. The food and beer are good, especially the BBQ Mac and Cheese, but it's not worth going unless you can get some type of deal during brunch or happy hour. Atmosphere is nice, but a little diminished when it's busy like it was when we visited. If you're paying full price there, you're paying too much, especially for average at best service. We wanted to go for a quick meal and ended up staying close to two hours kind of against our will. Wound up having two meals here today, and different staff for both. Both experiences fantastic. At lunch, manager was running drinks when it was busy, so I'm already inclined to look favorably on the spot when there's someone leading by example. Everyone was friendly and engaging, even when crossing paths with folks who had no direct connection to our table. Was very good. The waiter was polite and came at the right time. What I did not like was its a bit Pricey. Sandwiches are $16.00 on up. But like I said it was good. The only other thing I was a bit shocked to see is you get charged a usage fee to use a credit card. My bill was $61.00 and then to tack a usage fee on that I think is cheap. Excellent food and service. We stopped in for a quick bite to eat and wound up being very pleasantly surprised, both in the food offerings but in the huge variety of beers and mixed drinks. Our waiter was prompt and courteous, being there when we needed him but not hovering and the food was amazing. I had the BLTA burger and bacon-beef patty was fantastic! Portion sizes were large enough we took home leftovers. They also have rooftop seating area but we missed out on that due to a combination of the weather and being there too early. Food: Ehh....took my order wrong but since we waited so long didn't want to wait for correct order. Still charged me for the wrong order (not what I originally ordered) which was more expensive and to boot nickle and dimed us for ranch sides for my kids burgers. After bringing out wrong entree there should have been a correction. Either on the house or half price, etc. My family seemed content but uninspired by food choices Service: pleasant but not very smart with choices like when being late to table and getting food order wrong. We are visiting family in Cedar Rapids and they took us to 30 hop for dinner. The restaurant was very clean and our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu she did in outstanding job. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich. It was delicious. Very tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. The sandwich is absolutely massive. I could need more than half of it but the nice thing was I had the other half for lunch the next day and it was just as good. We also ordered the pretzel bites which were delicious. The upstairs patio is spectacular. Weather permitting I would imagine it might be one of the best patios in Cedar Rapids. We are definitely looking for a to our next visit to Cedar Rapids so we could try this restaurant again. read more

I was visiting from out of town and a friend recommended this eatery. EXCELLENT choice! We had shots of tequila, pints of beer, chips & salsa for a starter. I had the Yakisoba Bowl and my husband had the Korean BBQ Steak burger. I would have the Yakisoba every day for the rest of my life it was so so so good!!! Highly recommend! I added chicken (mainly for my children to pick at) but it would have been fine without. I'm annoyed there isn't a changing table in the men's room, and that my friend requested no mushrooms on her burger but they still put them in it.
