Although the Movers were over an hour late to start the move, the Movers were professional and took care in handling my items. The move for my 3 bedroom home took 4 hours to complete (cost 1,089.00). One of the movers went out of his way to advise me that the I required a different plug for my dryer as the one I it came with was not compatible with my new home. Although, this moving service was not the lowest quote I received, I initially selected this moving company because the Yelp reviews... and in this case I got "what I paid for". read more

My husband and I have now moved with 3 Men Movers two times. The first time we had a great experience. We requested the same moving team the second move we did. I'm not 100% sure what caused this time to be so horrible, but I am furious with this company right now. First, they hooked up our washing machine despite the fact that apparently they aren't trained to do so. The way that they set the washing machine up caused for the machine to break and cause a leak. Our utility closet is upstairs and the leak caused for us to have water damage through our ceiling and down the walls into our garage. I should mention that the house we moved into is brand new. It was less than 24 hours of being lived in and already it has water damage. We also had to replace our washing machine. Next, we had a bookcase that the shelves went missing. My husband and I know for a fact that the shelves made it into our storage unit, because we were the ones who put it there. The shelves never made it to our house from the storage unit. When we asked the movers to double check in their truck for them, they said they didn't have them. My husband asked if the shelves grew legs and walked off, and the response we got was, "Yeah. I guess so." So we had to replace those as well. We also realized that our dryer was tilting very badly. When we had the new washing machine installed, I asked the men to level the dryer for us and they said that the legs had been broken. Instead of alerting us that the legs had messed up, the movers had just left the legs sitting on the floor next to the dryer. We had to then purchase new legs and fix our dryer. I should also add that their negligence led to a small cabinet being destroyed. And due to the lack of care, our Keurig machine now no longer works. So we have water damage to a new house, had to replace a washing machine, fix a dryer, replace bookshelves, and a ruined cabinet and Keurig. When I filled out a claim with the company, it was denied. I am currently 38 weeks pregnant, and instead of spending money on getting diapers and stuff we need for a baby, we are having to pay to fix our house and replace stuff. read more

I hired 3 Men Movers twice. The first time was great service so I hired them again. I am now sitting at 14 hours waiting for these movers to finish moving my 2300 sq ft home. They still have at least 3 more hours to go. They also damaged my furniture and no one seems to care. I spoke with Alvin who said they could give me $150 discount. I have moved multiple times and this is by far the worse service I have every experienced. When I was given a quote I was told it would be approximately 8 hours, even if they had to make 2 trips. I hope that 3 Men Movers will make this right. It looks like we won't have beds to sleep in until 1:00am. They started at 8am. Right now I'm looking at having to pay over $3000 for this move and they didn't even put together my table, my sectional, unwrap any plastic from my furniture. The one piece they did put together they lost the majority of the bolts ($174 replacement per restoration hardware for bolts) and they damaged the piece. Im so upset and exhausted. I had to help the movers unload the truck because they were moving so slowly. So it's 11pm and they managed to get my things unloaded in an hour with the help of myself and my kids. Very happy with the move and highly recommend them. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they were 5 1/2 hours late (supposed to arrive at 12:00, arrived at 5:30). I was told one of their movers had to leave when his wife went into labor and they had to shuffle crews around, which is understandable. My only complaint is that the office was supposed to call me back with a new ETA, but did not. I called them a few hours later and they still did not know when a crew would arrive. When all is said and done though, the delay was just a minor inconvenience. Andres and his team did a very good job, worked steadily, communicated well when not sure what I wanted and were pleasant and respectful at all times. They showed up with a very large truck to move the equivalent of a two bedroom apartment, which presumably helped speed things up a bit. It took a little longer than I expected, but they wrapped all the furniture before moving it and then unwrapped it when done, so that took a bit of time on both ends. Their care though meant that everything arrived with no damage - woo hoo! I've never had a move before where something wasn't damaged, what a pleasant surprise. I even decided, after thinking about the whole experience, that the 5 1/2 hour delay was nothing compared to the rest of the experience, so I changed my 4 stars to 5. My mother was dying and we were moving her and my daughter into the home that she had lived in for 29 years so my mother could finish her journey "at home". My mother died three days later. Needless to say, things were a bit stressful, so the positive move experience provided by 3MM was sincerely appreciated. read more

9/9/21 One of the movers asked me in an unprofessional way to go in another room because being watched makes him nervous. They were struggling to move a heavy piece of furniture down a staircase. I discovered after they left they had damaged the wall in several places and one of the wood pieces that are part of the stair railing. i recommend that if you hire this company they should be observed closely and inspect your walls before they leave your home. read more

The customer service team you call into to set up the move was super friendly and helpful. Even told me if I was able to move my move up a day I would save $$. Andres and his team are top-notch and were so friendly and careful with my things. After 30 years in the Austin area, I decided to move away from the traffic, rising prices & property taxes, and chaos to a town about 50 miles away. After learning that the big names wanted thousands of dollars for a short move, I selected 3 Men Movers. Initially, they were going to just load a UHaul but when UH was unable to produce the truck, the day before the move, I upgraded 3MM to do the full move. They arrived at 7am, as agreed and Eduardo and I looked through what I was going to move. We talked about some ideas I'd had about using the wood shelves as flooring so it wouldn't take up valuable space and other things I'd planned to do when I was going to be using the UHaul. He didn't reply to any of my suggestions. He had me sign the agreement and got his very young guys, who didn't speak English, to work. They'd taken a fair bit out when I was notified that the lumber in my garage could not be moved. They also pointed out that things in bags couldn't be transported. I'd kept a number of blankets, towels, etc... in bags to use as filler/padding but was prepared to toss them in the back of my car so that wasn't a big deal. The lumber was the issue. As it wasn't precluded on their website AND I'd shown it to him before they started loading, I had a problem with the way he'd had me sign the contract knowing that he was going to disallow it afterwards. That seems like a bait and switch tactic. I spoke to Yeffrey at their offices who reaffirmed Eduardo's position citing safety concerns. I didn't agree since the lumber could have been tied together using rope, web straps, etc... to ensure it couldn't slide or fly around the truck's interior but they weren't interested in finding a resolution. After all, they already had my $234 trip fee just to show up at the house. If I'd known about the lumber issue, if it had been listed on their web site, if the person I spoke to originally who asked about what I'd be moving had told me that my lumber would be an issue, I could have saved the fee because I wouldn't have hired them in the first place. Ultimately, it appears that they are ok with taking my money but not in doing the job as they latched onto excuses rather than finding solutions. At least one star because at least the actual movers were nice. BUT this company should be called "2 Men Movers." Half way through the day, one of the movers smashed his finger and wasn't able to help any longer, which is completely acceptable but "3 men movers" pride themselves on charging $165/hour for THREE movers. So for 4+ hours we only had TWO movers but I still paid $165/hour, and when we questioned that, it got ignored basically along with other issues. Also, they broke the leg to our king size bed (that's one year old) while moving and said it would be a simple process to make a claim and get it taken care of. That was a huge lie, we moved on Oct 11th and still have nothing resolved! It took two plus weeks for them to even acknowledge my husband's multiple phone calls and emails showing the damage to the bed. The leg of the bed is literally broken so there's no fixing it or getting by with the damage; the bed is too heavy and not safe to put weight on to sleep! By the way, I'm 8+ months pregnant and haven't been able to sleep in my own bed for 25 nights now, but who's counting! There's also a 1.5" hole in my extra bedroom wall where the corner of the headboard of that bed hit it, the dust paint color is literally on the bed. But that seems to be my problem and not theirs either. Never again will I use this company nor would I ever recommend. read more

Called me in morning warning of a long move job, assured me home office will call as soon as another of three active teams was free. Called me too late in the day again to cancel. Called head office, guy couldn't find my moving information at all by my phone number and couldn't spell my name (Jason) after several tries. Tried Jeffrey first, then "Jessel". Terrible experience. Not sure if I'll be able to get my initial deposit fee back given that they can't spell my name to find my scheduled move. The movers themselves were very kind and courteous, and the business owner called me to apologize in response to this review. It sounds like this business often does the right thing and attempts to make things right, but, in my case, when it counted, I was let down. Stuff happens. This was one of those wrong time wrong place situations where the back office dropped the ball, repeatedly. I would highly recommend ensuring you schedule your move to be the first move of the day for the given move team, and do not depend on the back office to help at all if anything goes wrong. read more

I had some of my movers steal some prescription pain medication as well as stealing my kitchen food and eating it right there in the kitchen not knowing I was watching. Also the guy tried to overcharge me $80 but luckily I asked him to break down my total and that's when he changed the price to what it actually should be. Instead of tipping them $80 I only tipped them $20. I am a stay at home mom and I cannot believe that guy tried to rip me off knowing good and well we were already paying for the work and I told him I would tip well. Five years ago, my sister and her husband moved twice within 1 year. Both times they used 3 Men Movers. I was so impressed with their service that when it came time for me to choose a company, I didn't even need to get prices from anyone else. Though they are located in Austin, the pay clock did not begin until they arrived at my home in Georgetown. The 3 movers arrived at exactly 7:00 a.m. as scheduled. We had furniture and boxes in 2 locations: our home and the neighbor's garage. Not a problem. I was worried that everything was not going to fit in the truck. Not a problem. I have several pieces of furniture that I was concerned about. Worried that they might get damaged. Not a problem. Each piece of furniture was wrapped for protection. (I've never had that before.) Within 2 hours the van was loaded and the truck was on its way to our new residence 4 hours away. When they arrived at our new high rise apartment complex, a vendor (delivering some of our new furniture) was occupying the dock. Not a problem. What did they do? They helped him unload! I was prepared for a slow unpacking ordeal because they had to wait on the freight elevator. . I was certainly wrong there! Not a problem. Within 2 hours they were completely unloaded. They also helped my sister (who had brought some things for us) unload her van! They were professional, courteous, efficient, and pleasant. Have you ever had a mover who provided decorator service? I had a large decorator piece that I asked the mover to place it right here. He did so, then he said, "Do you mind me mentioning that it would look better over there?" He was right! Ok the detailed review: From the first call to the office to learn about the service, I was impressed. Malcolm was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He gave me all the info I needed to make a decision and did not try to "sell" me. 3-Men Movers has a different business model than most moving companies - and I love it! No need to send someone out to look at all your stuff and to start to gauge weight and tonnage. You always pay more! At 3-Men, they charge you for the truck ($128) and then they charge you an hourly rate for the 3 professional movers. These are not laborers. These are professional movers. Piano certified movers! The hourly rate ranges from about $125-150 based on the day of the week. The hourly rate is worth every penny. This model ensures that you only pay for what you use. Once the job is done, the clock stops. And these guys are machines. The last thing they do is stand around and milk the clock. In fact we had to demand that they take a break and eat the lunch we bought for them. Just when you think it can't get better, we get a visit from the district manager in a 3-Men Movers car. He comes to make sure everything is going according to plan and to make sure the client is happy. He also brings a bag with some gifts (I won't ruin the surprise). I used 3 Men Movers to move out of my college apartment in north campus a few weeks ago. 3 Men Movers turned a very stressful, and emotional day into a positive experience. I just graduated from UT and had to move a second story 2 bedroom apartment from Austin to self storage in Houston. I was overwhelmed with the move but the crew was so fast they made my day. The best part of the move was the fact that the driver had enough foresight to take 290 instead of I 10. Right when I got on I 10 an over turned big rig had the traffic at a stand still......ln a panic I called my driver worried about paying overtime for traffic, lucky for me he had taken 290 which was wide open. I arranged someone to meet him at the storage in Houston and he ended up arriving hours before me and the move was just about done when I arrived on site at the storage complex. I hate moving. Every time I move I say we are never doing this again. However, of course, situations change and moving is inevitable. 3 moves ago, I hired movers and it was worth every penny and I vowed never to move on my own again. Plus, one move with the help of some friends, my bed ended up on Mopac, which is enough to make you stick with professionals going forward. This is the third company we have used and was by far the best. We had the pleasure of working with Fernando and his guys. Fernando was very fun to work with and it felt like we were just hanging out (only way sweaty). We had a 2 part move, first my sister moved and then they got my stuff. I have a ton of stuff...for real. They moved very quickly and moving both apartments took 4 hours. (My apt alone took 3 hours last time). Also, this is the first time that during unpacking I haven't found anything broken. They were very careful with everything. The company really cares about it's customers. We got a visit during the move from Tom, the area manager, who was very sweet and gave us a little surprise gift. He took a photo of us with Fernando and you can see all 3 of us nice and sweaty on Facebook, haha. We also got a kind handwritten thank you note in the mail. Those little things are a very sweet touch, and appreciated. Probably moving again in 15 months, which is no fun, but at least I know who to call to make it better and easier! read more

I would have never believed that a moving company could get a 5 star review from me, but 3 Men Movers totally earned it. Originally I had scheduled them to pack and load a rental truck for our move from Austin to Denver. However, upon arriving the crew leader said that our stuff would not fit in a 26' rental truck, but he and his crew could take his 32' truck to Denver for us, all it would take is a quick call to the main office. The main office staff was super easy to work with and handled my stressful indecisiveness with grace. Eventually we decided to go with 3 Men Movers for a full service move, packing items in Austin, driving to Denver, and unloading in Denver. The crew was courteous, kind, and careful with all of our possessions. The crew leader was right about the size of the truck - our stuff barely fit into their larger truck - but we eventually made it out there with no issues. The crew actually got to our destination before we did, so they ended up waiting on us to unload. We moved to a 3 story townhome and I never heard a single complaint as they hauled items up to the 3rd floor. They even offered to unload our personal cars since we had some stuff in there as well. They had smiles on their faces the whole time. We later discovered that there were some scratches in the wood floors in our Austin home as a result of the move, but 3 Men Movers handled our claim with zero hassle. We sent pictures of the damage and they reimbursed us for the repairs. I still can't believe how easy the process was, and they were completely professional the entire time. If we could hire them again in Denver I would do it in a heartbeat. I have had nothing but horror stories with every other moving company I have tried in the Austin area (5 different companies, all with bad experiences). I was blown away by their level of professionalism, commitment to excellence, and superior customer service. They arrived on time. They confirmed prior to the moving date. They messed up the moving date. I called two days before to confirm, they told me they made an error and had the wrong date. The put me on a flex schedule to make things right, and called the day of stating they'd be at my apartment at 10:00 at night. The move was supposed to occur at 7:00am. What started out to be a wonderful experience turned into a living nightmare. They came and told me they were ready to take all of our stuff to the storage unit after packing for six hours. I take them over to the storage unit they unload, get paid $1200 and leave. I get home to find that the garage that they spent two hours in packing was still three quarters full of our stuff. They only moved the boxes that they packed. They never completed the packing, and when I called the main company they said they couldn't send somebody out to finish the job. I think they got tired and lazy and just decided they didn't want to work anymore today because it was almost 3 o'clock, so they gave it got paid went home and didn't communicate. We used this company three times in the past 6 months after removing furniture to stage our condo, sell our condo, and move into our new home. Each and every time, the crew showed up right on time. They were professional, and I was astonished with the speed and talent they displayed. I had one of those Nintendo Tetris songs stuck in my head watching them puzzled all the furniture on moving day into their truck. We ended up getting a second storage unit after we sold our condo because the house was not ready, and when I shared that on moving day, they didn't seem disgruntled at all about the storage being in another building. The one question I was asked by a handful of family and friends was if "they seemed that they were milking time". Absolutely not. They were great at making every trip from point A to point B count, and additionally saran wrapped things together and securely to make things easier to transport. It's always a risk when you have someone you don't know move a $1200 mirror, and they treated that mirror as if it was their own with care and caution. If we ever decide to play the "sell and move" game again, I will only call this company. Just used this company today and it was a huge mistake. I'm guessing because the elevators was just so hard or the doors on the storage buildings. Anyway transition from storage to my home wasn't that far but yet you're driving extremely slow. I saw at least 20 cars including two tractor trailers switch to a faster lane. First, the crew was on time. I love the fact that you pay these guys by the hour. I was worried that they would not work hard but that just is not true. They were fast and efficient. What is more, they were willing to work as much as I needed them to, including moving very heavy furniture (a baby grand piano and a granite topped bar) around inside the house until I was happy with the placement of the furniture. They had to make two trips to get all of the items from my place and we had a deadline of getting stuff out by 5 p.m. When it turned out to be 4:00 and items were still left in the condo, they really kicked it in to high gear and moved with lightening speed to make sure all of my stuff was on the truck by 5 p.m. They never once made me feel anything less than special. There was no grumbling about how long it was taking or how heavy anything was. They were super professional, polite and I very highly recommend them. If you are lucky enough to have Tom Britton stop by with his camera and a bottle of Champagne, you are very lucky. He is a bright spot in the day when he shows up.
