So much fun! Went to see the game two weeks ago and the food was yummy, the crowd and vibe were off the charts. Our waitress was the best!!!

This security and this lame manager think they can do and say whatever they want. We walked in and asked for water and they asked us to leave. The security called us "snowflakes" said we didn't want to go home, while he was vaping in his car. The manager said he could close whenever he wanted. They had 10 people in there and only asked us to leave, they said they were family and only we had to leave. We were not causing a problem or anything, we just sat down and asked for water. They were name calling and saying to contact the owner to complain. Insane. The doors are to remained unlocked until 2:00am, it was 1:50am. We just needed more time to talk as GIRLS!!! The man pictured in the glasses proceeded to push and shove my friend that simply asked "Excuse me, I'm trying to get to the bar". The man in the glasses asked "What's that supposed to mean" and shoved my friend causing me, a woman, to be injured from my foot. We reported this incident immediately with the bar security and instead the security sided with the aggressor since the security listened to the aggressor's side of the story first. The security brushed it off saying "There's alcohol involved, I don't want to kick both of y'all out". Paying customers will be assaulted and this bar will defend the aggressors. Just went here randomly on Sat night and I actually loved it! +spacious bar with plenty of seatings +they had a dj and he was playing 90s / 2000 hip hop and r&bs and it was my jammmmm. Our group was singing and dancing along to it all night +nice bouncer / security guys; I kept catching them singing along and jammin to the music +bartender was nice; took care of us all night +they had my group's favorite tequila at the moment, which is lalo! Free parking structure on 1st street. Came here for game night. Place was pretty empty. Just walked in, no cover charge. Had to flag down the ONE bartender for a menu. She told us to go to the bar when we were ready to order. Ordered the Elysian Space Dust $8. The cup was dirty! It had pink lipstick on the rim! The Elysian Space Dust was little too bitter for our taste. The Classic Old Fashion $13 was very disappointing. The rim had little black spots and many area was chipped. We liked that they used Maker's Mark, however, it initially tasted like they forgot the sugar, then we realized they didn't mix the drink and all the sugar was sitting at the bottom. Very disappointing. We also had the Michelada $11, the rim was covered with tajin, so we couldn't tell how dirty the cup was. Not a fan, had about 1/5 before deciding it was a lost cause. Let me start off by saying, service was good at first. All things considered, they had just opened so it was easy to order drinks. We had an assigned server and at first she was nice but then later in the evening, I saw her serving water in a cup, so I asked her for some water as well and then she blatantly told me with a serious look that they ran out and I would have to pay for a bottle of water. minutes later... guess what? She brought out a cup with water for another colleague of mine, and I was just upset over it. When I asked my colleague, we jokingly said that maybe I needed to ask again or perhaps ask a different way but I was totally nice when I asked. If I hadn't seen others with cups, then I wouldn't have asked. I was about to go up to the bartenders, but I decided against it. It's a typical bar setting with food. The ambience is on the dimmer, darker side, but overall, it's a chill place to hang out. Next time I'll make sure to bring my own bottled water. read more

Still 1 star. Decided to come in at night for a drink at the bar with my wife and daughter. They had already drank what they wanted for the night (thank God). They just wanted to get out for an hour. I still wanted to drink. I ended up getting Pacifico beer. Pretty standard beer, like Corona, Modelo, etc.. Price was $9 a beer, and of course I tip, usually $2 per beer, but I just did $1 to make it $10 each. Three 12oz beers for $30 (could get a 24 pack for $30 at the store). I don't mind spending money, but I do mind getting ripped off. Their cost is around $1 or less per 12oz beer. Their markup is 9x, 10x with a dollar tip. Won't be back. read more

Overall poor service and management. Took 15 minutes to get a server to our table, took another 10 minutes for a beer and club soda to be brought, and another 50 minutes on top of that for some nachos and wings. The bartender did not have anything to make an old fashioned, and when asked for a whiskey and ginger ale, she made me whiskey club soda. Cherry on top.......an item was stolen from our table by the couple on the booth next to us, and the manager/owner was noncooperative to do anything to help the situation. Instead she brought her huge security guard to intimidate us and bring us outside the bar. My coworkers and I arrived here for part two of our birthday boy's celebrations, but we got a weird vibe to begin with. This bar appeared to be closed earlier than posted on the nite of our party upon first attempt checking out the venue briefly. Finally, we decided staying, but we didn't realize the background music was going to be turned wayyyyy loud we were barely able to hear each other talk!!!! The seating arrangement that was available turned out inconvenient as well at least it wasn't suitable for a large party of 7. Upon taking off after a short visit due to extremely loud rock and roll music played in the background, a few of us suggested some staff to turn down the music. Came here to celebrate my sister's birthday and watch UFC 261 (what an insane fight!). I liked the outdoor set up with multiple TVs. It started to get pretty crowded by the evening. Came here on a Friday night after bar hopping with my homegirl, ( first time here btw ) and overall, the vibe at 28 West was really good. The music was on point; a mix of Mexican music and hip-hop/twerk music. And the dance floor energy was fun, chill, and lively. Everyone inside seemed cool, and the atmosphere was definitely a good time. However, I did want to mention an unfortunate experience that affected my night. Earlier in the evening, I made the mistake of drinking before eating, and after a lot of dancing, my stomach did not agree with me. I ended up getting sick while trying to make it to the bathroom. I completely understand that throwing up in a venue is not ideal, and I truly was apologetic about it. That said the way the manager/owner handled the situation felt unnecessarily rude and aggressive. I was being rushed, spoken to harshly, and made to feel like I had committed a crime rather than just having a human moment. A little compassion and calmer communication would have gone a long way. Besides interaction, I genuinely liked the place, the music, the crowd, and the overall vibe were great, and I would've had an amazing time if not for that experience. I hope management can take this as constructive feedback on how situations like this are handled in the future. read more

Then we noticed a huge empty space with no seats at the bar so we grabbed bar stools from the tables to sit and immediately was approached to NOT SIT at the bar then we asked why not and he said so others can order at the bar while the whole other half section was closed dedicated to that anyways. We decided to watch boxing at this location and it was the best idea! Cover fee was less than $10 per person, not sure of the exact cost. We had great seating but then again all seating areas are very accommodating since this venue is surrounded by tv's. We ordered the Carne Asada Nachos and they were quite perfect! Fresh ingredients all around and the chips were homemade. Beer was served in clear plastic cups which allowed the beer to taste refreshing and quite cold! This place definitely got me feeling old... Came here quite early on a Friday night with some friends. They are now opened in the back instead of their indoor space. Bar security checks ladies' purses and does a full body screen on men. Bar is in the center of the patio area, with lots of alcohol options to choose from (basically a full bar). You have option to keep your tab open also. My friend hated their rum and coke (unsure how you can screw it up), but I loved my midori sour. As the night went on, around 10pm, it was getting way too loud as more crowd poured in. It was too loud to chat and so my friends and I decided to leave for a nicer place. This definitely feels more like a place for college kids or those looking to get down. read more

Terrible vibe. I gave one star just because it was the lowest you could give. We came on a Friday night and wanted just a couple of drinks. They had three bartenders, two girls and one guy. It took nearly 30 minutes to get served. We were waiting for that long at the bar area just for some white claws. I'm not a bartender, but last I checked, it doesn't take mixing or any effort to give someone a white claw especially when you're paying 3x the usual price for a white claw. We bought a bucket of about 5 white claws and the bucket came with some ice so I guess they had to work and put ice in a bucket, so we were charged $35 for that. We paid in cash a $50 and she did not give us any change. We waited another half hour there for the change and she REFUSED to give us the change. Never coming back here. WOW. How is this place real. My friends and I saw a lively outdoor bar from the parking lot and thought, where is that place? It was 28 West! We were trying to go to a ramen spot in the same mall on a Sunday, around 6PM. They told us we had a 40 minute wait, so instead of waiting outside the restaurant, we just came to 28 West. Best choice ever!! As soon as we got seated a friendly waitress gave us menus. We asked her what food is good and she said all of the items are good. We were pretty skeptical but all 3 items we ordered were honestly amazing. Taquitos, bomb! Shrimp and fish tacos both bomb too. The best thing about the place was the vibes.
