I heard a lot of mixed reviews originally, but I am so glad my kids stayed and stuck with this place. their teachers have really proved to be so patient and shown the care and consideration they have towards the young ones. my son loves gymnastics, but he's 3 and not the best listener. they have some established gymnasts as their teachers and they have been a delight to work with. my daughter, 9, has also very much enjoyed her time here & has made fantastic progress! highly recommend this facility for your children to really grow and learn! big shout-out to Kayla, Erin, Grey, Jada & Ari (I hope I spelled their names right) !

In addition, there are several class options and multiple times for all skill levels. (Important to note - if your gymnast is practicing at an intermediate or advanced level and does not wish to be on one of their teams - it is in your best interest to first ask if the coach assigned has the ability to properly and safely spot your child.) Also, DGA has an amazing presence at all DMV area meets (State and National ones too). Their Developmental (DP) and Xcel teams, both, are a force to be reckoned with - as this is a well established - fact in the gymnastics community. My daughter had been taking lessons and was really enjoying them until she took a fall. I specifically asked the coach ( who was not her regularly scheduled coach - the class assigned coach was on the gym floor just not, for whatever reason, teaching that class.) who brought her back to the waiting/viewing area what happened. I directly asked if my daughter's fall was her fault - was she being unsafe. The coach expressly told me no, my daughter was assigned a drill (in the previous class) that should not have been assigned. No further explanation was given. My daughter had explained to me what had transpired. My daughter was in pain - another coach (not affiliated with DGA) told me to take her to a specialist. No one at DGA reached out to see how she was feeling, no one even said we hope she feels better. The entire situation was completely ignored - this is not just unprofessional; it is also unkind and unempathetic. DGA is currently and actively working at becoming the number one power- house gymnastics facility in the DMV. They should, first and foremost, actively work on improving their coaches' communication skills, feigning compassion, and being committed to always implementing safety.

We were having trouble with my son's teacher, and decided to pull him out of the school, and cancel the after school. The school ended up letting the teacher go and convinced us to stay. We had a lot going on (anyone with an autistic child can relate) and didn't even think about the Taekwondo. The master was picking up kids at the school, saw our son, and wrote my wife an email accusing us of being dishonest, and saying he was going to charge us over $1k. I don't care about the money, but what type of Taekwondo master accuses a woman (both of us work full time) dealing with a tough situation of being a liar? I don't want my son learning from this type of man who makes accusations without the full story. I wouldn't send your kids here. There are many options for Taekwondo with Masters who are honorable and command respect, but not this place.

That's when we found MJ Elite, and it was exactly what we didn't know we needed. Master Jeon is not only kind and patient but also deeply family-oriented and genuinely supportive. As both a father and a dedicated community leader, his strong work ethic and disciplined approach extend far beyond his school--his influence is carried through the hallways of many local schools by the students he has impacted. We are incredibly grateful for Master Jeon and the unwavering support, guidance, and care he provides. The love and encouragement he shows my son mean the world to us, and we cannot thank him enough.

When I voted here, in the Senior Center, it was great to meet and greet with volunteers from the Senior Center who told us more about the activities they do on that side. They put on social events and dances and educational programs. I would have never known. There is a Louduon Rec Center Guide that comes out seasonally. Within it, there are classes for kids and adults on activities at the rec center and surrounding. I signed up for a few things for our family members and other than one event, they all were exceptional! I recently came for a Play All Day event. There was demonstrations in the lap pool, scavenger hunt in the leisure pool for kids, Bounce houses outside, dancing class for seniors, live band and food trucks, etc. It was amazing to see the facilities and use the rock wall for free. The daily passes to the rec center are so reasonable too with $6 for adults and $4 for kids. They even have family passes if people from the same house hold are coming together. As I continue to discover more and more about the recreation center, and meet all the wonderful people that work here; I continue to get more and more amazed at this place and their offerings. It's great running into your neighbors and bonding with the new summer staff from local high schools.

It is a co-ed class, which I think is awesome - 9 kids total with 1 trainer starting the program and 3 trainers finishing it. This place is in a U shaped outdoor mall and is in the back part of it (near Sweet Frog - yum!). You can park on-Street if you find it, or in the garage which is free. As soon as you walk in you can tell they are top notch professionals. The place is incredibly clean and tidy. They have a waiting area with a TV if you want to hang & there's also a bench right outside the fitness room if you want to stalk your child, lol. There are Gender neutral restrooms, YAY, and two different sized water fountains. His trainer, Rahul, or "Rah" as everyone calls him, came out and introduced himself, and checked in to make sure we were all communicated with. He has a great energy about him and fantastic customer service! Those high-schoolers better watch out cuz he is super fit and ready to roll. We were able to catch a few minutes of the previous class & Rah really had them W-O-R-K-I-N-G!!! I know my son will sleep good tonight (bye-bye late bedtime whoop whoop). So nice to have such a positive experience with a new business. Very reasonably priced and yes, they have adult classes & classes for young kiddos too. I have seen boys in the women's locker room as old as 9 years of age but they do nothing to curb the behavior contributing to this. Under the guidance of Coaches Zac, Ceyara, Cam, and Shauna our daughter has made great strides in her abilities. One thing inexperienced cheer parents, or rec/sideline cheer parents may not realize is that for your kid to excel at an all star level it requires dedication not only from your cheerleader but also from you. I won't lie. It is very expensive. It's very time consuming. But the payoff is that your cheerleader WILL improve in ways you didn't expect. Do not go into all star cheer putting in the bare minimum and expect amazing results. Our daughter is in the gym 5 days a week for practice and extra classes. Where the Rays add value is the class prices. Some gyms look to squeeze you for extras but not at the Rays. If you want to take your cheerleader's development seriously, give the Stingray Allstars one season and you'll see what I mean.

I am very impressed with the coaches and their ability to manage several 3-4 year olds and still successfully teach them. My daughter is the youngest in her class, so I didn't expect her to learn much at first, but she is learning something new or improving basic skills each week. I am very happy with the pure joy that she gets from going to the Stingrays gym.
