1 Star Review. Pickleball is a fun sport. So much so that I wanted to include my family in the…read moresport over our Thanksgiving break. I had called Manassas Park Community Center since we were visiting the area and had asked if it would be a problem bringing 7-10 people with me who didn't know the game- Dawn said no problem! They even have the wooden paddles, balls, nets. I thought wow- what a jackpot. We went and what a disaster. The person in charge is BONNIE- and she is very passive aggressive. BONNIE even tried to sabotage us using the facility paddles, almost getting in the middle physically so that they would not give us paddies. We had to go to the front desk for their assistance with this- as Bonnie didn't want us to use them. Even though they had around 30 paddles. BONNIE did not welcome us and got hung up on us setting up a net for three people instead of four. No one needed the court or our space- BONNIE was just being a nasty old lady. BONNIE was very cruel to my family and had such bad energy. Even the regular people that go and play pickleball said how "Everyone has their own Bonnie story". Bonnie should be ashamed of herself- this is a game that people come to have fun- not to be tortured every step of the way. We were new to this gym and very excited to come to- we didn't know all the ins and outs- but after meeting this horrible leader - we def won't be back. We asked for our money back and Dawn wouldn't refund us.

The facilities are new and very nice. The basketball courts can even be divided up into four different courts with the dividers!

There's also a gazebo area that's perfect for lunch and a few benches where parents can relax. The park is conveniently located right next to the Waterworks Splash Pad, where kids can swim during the summer before enjoying a picnic under the gazebos. One downside is that there's only a porta-potty on site, and it isn't very clean--so it's best to make a restroom stop before arriving.

Aside from the occasional grocery shopping trip, I truly do not go out except to walk. The forest trails here are so pretty and most of the time there's no one else there. It's just me, the birds (listen for the woodpeckers!), the abundant squirrels, and an occasional deer. There are many different entrances to the trails, so you can look at the maps online and decide which one you'd like to take. (Look up Neabsco Greenway TrThe trees are marked with different colors/lines to help you know which trail you are on. However, I do recommend bringing a phone with GPS capabilities if you are going for a long walk, just in case you happen to lose your way, especially as the landscape changes with the seasons. Most of the path will be gravel or flat dirt, although some sections can get really muddy if there's been a good rain. They also recommend using tick spray, although I've never had any bites when sticking to the established trails. Be sure to be respectful to others by staying at least 6 feet away if you happen to cross paths. These trails provide a great place to get some fresh air and enjoy nature!

This new splash pad and playground serves as a reminder that damn Loudon County has some money. We got here at noon with our toddler and only planned to spend a couple of hours and ended up basically being here until they closed in the middle of summer at 8 PM. I think it's an amazing design to have three playground design for different ages right near the splash pad. Luckily it was like 5000° out so kids dried off the minute they left the waterpark to go to playgrounds. So being a wet mess really wasn't a concern. There are a few rules to the waterpark that includes no toys and no dogs and the standard diaper requirements for the incontinent , but otherwise it's pretty open and people were really really well behaved. The bathrooms are amazingly clean for a public bathrooms and offer wide enough stalls to change in. It's highly recommended because of temperatures and the fact that most of the place is concrete to wear water shoes. The only issue we had was that a baby kept putting wet banana peels like this was Mario kart in the splash pad and people kept tripping on them. Most of the water features are well functioning and a lot of fun. The playground themselves range from ages 5 to 12, and have a lot of hills with Astroturf, which is kind of fun to just roll down and they have slides built into them. There are a lot of climbing activities. The slides do get hot on a sunny day, but since the kids are already wet from the waterpark, they seem fine. And the park is very clean. We went on a weekday and it wasn't really that crowded, but I can see how weekends could be pretty full. They also have lots of tables for our families to sit down and enjoy some picnic items.

My kids love it. It's clean and lots of parking space and well maintained. It's worth visiting.read more

Great indoor venue…read more Tons of parking and lots of nearby restaurants to fuel up afterward. They have membership options which are well worth it if you live nearby and play frequently. This gives you half off court fees and open play fees. More importantly, it allows you to register earlier than non-members. I am not a member and I saw that the registration for open play filled up before it even became available for non-members. Luckily, there were cancellations so I was able to get a spot to try out the courts. The open play is pretty high level play. I would say that the average play was about 3.5. I enjoyed the competitive but good spirited players who I competed with. There are 6 courts and it is a four on-four off rotation with paddles stacked on the fence. The courts had lots of space for ATP and Ernie's. I also thought it was hilarious that most of the advertisements and sponsors on the walls were for physical therapists and senior homes. That's pickleball in a nutshell! Hopefully will get the chance to drop by again.
