I had my suspicions on if this place was going to be good, mainly because it seemed like the influx of customers was due to the hospital's proximity and not because they actually served quality food. After what felt like a long while of contemplating what I wanted to order, one of the staff at the counter assured me, "these are the best bagels in ALL of Brooklyn, you won't go wrong with anything you order." And THAT is how I knew I picked a solid breakfast spot. This place is everything you're looking for in a bagel shop: fast paced, quality food, no skimping on any of the ingredients. My bacon egg and cheese sandwich had the perfect amount of meat/eggs and the bagel was pillowy soft. Others who had bagels with cream cheese were not disappointed by the amount of cream cheese received either. Instead of eating inside the hospital, we found a table tucked away in the back and deemed this as a hidden gem. The table, situated right besides a window, gives you an up close look at staff making the bagels fresh - assuring you that you're getting freshly baked goodness when you order. Worth it if you find yourself in the area? Absolutely.

No worries, though - as I whipped out Yelp and did a quick search. One of the top hits was La Bagel Delight - and since the reviews and pics looked great I decided to head over. As suggested by the name, LBD serves up bagels - lots of them in different varieties with just as many cream cheese flavors to match. Beyond that, they're a deli with an extensive sandwich menu - plus other items one would expect to find (think bags of chips, bottled soft drinks, etc.). There's a lot of stuff in the space but it's set up nicely and they even have a small seating area in the back. I browsed their sandwich menu and the Porketta instantly stood out to me - not sure if the misspelling is intentional but I'm going with it. Anyway - everything on this sandwich was speaking to me - porchetta, broccoli rabe, sun-dried tomato, and fresh mozz. I mean, wow - you didn't need to tell me twice. It came on a hero as standard, but I didn't want that big of a sandwich so they offered a kaiser roll which I appreciated. The sandwich was excellent - it was steaming as I opened the wrapper, and everything tasted super fresh; it was a total yes. Service was also great - as soon as my colleagues and I walked in, we were warmly greeted and taken care of promptly. As if the sandwich wasn't enough, the customer service made this even more of a memorable experience. Overall, I had a great experience at La Bagel Delight - my sandwich was super tasty with quality ingredients and the hospitality was top-drawer. I would definitely consider returning next time I'm working in the area.

Everything looked delicious! My suggestion is to look at menu and know what you want beforehand. The bagels were soft and chewy. I had one toasted with eggs and onions and I had the "spectacular". Both were good. The spectacular was refreshing! Lox, onions, capers, tomatoes and a scallion cream cheese on a sesame seed bagel! Delicious! They have a pretty big friendly staff. Bagels are made on premises. The place is for take out, but they do have two benches outside. The coffee was decent. They have self-service or they can prepare for you! As far as the customer service goes I wish it was a bit better. The staff aren't the most pleasant. No good morning no acknowledgement of comprehending what you order they just walk away and start the order. Which is why I double check always. I do notice they speak more pleasantly to other customers that come in. Not sure if it's a culture thing or could they be discriminatory but it's a bit unsettling. Food: 3.8/5 I only order the poppy seed bagel and that's pretty tasty. Not to doughy although I do have them take out a good portion of the bread because I like it to be extremely thin. Service: 3 /5 Service needs major improvements , language barriers are also a major factor to consider as they do speak Spanish and their primary language. Ambiance: 3/5 Standard & basic bagel shop set up. Standing & waiting area is basic they have counter tops should you want to stand inside and eat nothing fancy. They do have a wide variety of drinks to choose from and coffee and tea.

Terrace is also the only bagel shop I'm aware of that has the Split Decision on the menu. It's an open faced bagel with cream cheese and lox on one side, and whitefish on the other (with tomatoes, red onions, and capers on the side). As the only fish-bagel-eating person in my immediate family, it gives me the variety I need in one order. I love it. I also love the efficient staff, the large dining area with plenty of tables, and the dude wearing the biggest roller blades I've ever seen who was waiting next to me last time. My only knock on this excellent bagelry, with their stellar staff and sandwiches, is that I could use a little more of everything on the everything bagels. Otherwise, just about perfect.

Initially I was hesitant to offer up a Yelp for a place that I was not having the main offering at…read morebut I changed my mind and here we are. The Bagel Pub is a quaint corner bagel spot in Sunset Park and while I've known about it for some time, its not the most convenient for me since I live in Bay Ridge and there are plenty of bagel stores for me to choose from on any given day. This past Sunday however, I took a ride with my friend to the also nearby Costco as she and her family needed some things and while we were planning on the Dunkin Donuts that is right there, she wanted one of the tasty muffins from Bagel Pub. Once inside I viewed the cozy space which was mostly a food preparation area with a small corridor for the customers to line up and get their goodies. The bagels looked great but my own mindset was fixated on the DD "Meal Deal" today but my friend did get their muffin but nothing else. I didn't see any area where the customer can go and sit but from the outside there seemed to be an adjacent area that looks like its unused at this time. The COVID times changes a lot of places mode of operation and sometimes what used to be open isn't anymore but I digress. My friend and I did end up in Dunkin and she shared half of her poppy seed muffin so I can say that its super tasty and filling. I just wish that I had thought of taking a photo before it was in devour mode. This does seem to be a popular spot if you are a nearby neighbor but for me its on the distant side and I felt that it might be a little pricier than some of the places that I already go. Had we not been going to Costco I wouldn't have even been at this particular Dunkin Donuts. Maybe next time that this is the mission I will try something more substantial and update this Yelp.

However, I personally think they're delicious and prefer them to the other style of bagel. The cream cheese is a little thicker than most places as well (in terms of viscosity rather than actual quantity) which I appreciate. Oddly despite all the positive reviews it's never swamped, which is appreciated when I'm in a hurry in the morning. The employees are especially nice as well - one woman who works the register on occasion is mention-worthily warm and kind. The iced coffee isn't the best, but it isn't the worst either. This place and Bagels by the Park are almost equidistant from my boyfriend's apartment and I've come to highly prefer this one. Not like there's much variation or that when there is, anything is prohibitive, but this place is nominally cheaper than other bagel spots as well. Definitely will come back - want to try the breakfast sandwiches and juices as well.
