I was really disappointed with my visit to Incredible Food and Fun. The restaurant was crowded and…read morefelt unorganized, with long waits for both the food and the attractions. The food was underwhelming--many items were cold, stale, or not refilled in a timely manner. The dining area also wasn't as clean as it should have been, with dirty tables left sitting for too long. One thing that immediately stood out was having to sign a liability waiver. It was honestly startling and gave the whole place an untrustworthy feeling before we even started having fun. Instead of making me feel reassured, it made me question why such a broad waiver was necessary in the first place. My first thought was, "If everything is as safe as it should be, why is a liability waiver needed?" Whether that's the intention or not, it created a negative first impression and made me less confident in the experience. The arcade and attractions looked fun at first, but several games were out of order, and the ones that did work weren't always functioning correctly. On top of that, the staff didn't seem interested in helping and often appeared overwhelmed or uninterested when customers had questions. The prices have also become outrageous. Incredible Food and Fun used to be an affordable place where families could spend an entire day without breaking the bank. Now, it feels like going there is something you have to save up for. Between the admission, games, food, and everything else, the cost adds up incredibly fast. For what you're paying, the quality of the experience simply doesn't justify the price. Overall, the experience wasn't worth the money. I expected a fun family outing, but instead left frustrated and feeling like I wasted my money. Between the declining food quality, lack of cleanliness, expensive prices, concerning first impression from the liability waiver, and poor customer service, I can't recommend Incredible Food and Fun in its current state. I genuinely hope they make improvements because it used to be a place I enjoyed visiting, but based on my recent experience, I won't be returning.

The staff was very helpful in explaining what to expect and adjusting our equipment. At first it is hard to adjust to the play area in the game vs. the actual room you are in (a grid pops up in the game so you don't run into any real walls) as well as the hand controls, but after a few minutes you get used to it . We did Beyond Medusa's Gate and it was fun to do puzzles in Ancient Greece and it really required teamwork like a real escape room. The only other virtual reality we have done is The Void in Atlanta, and while that was fun for a 15 minute intro to exploring VR, Questledge is more like a true 60 minute escape room where you feel challenged and truly experience that adrenaline rush of figuring out what to do next. The challenge of the Auction House was very fun and we were finally able to solve it with some assistance and about 30 seconds left. I would highly recommend Questledge for their escapes, scavenger hunts and VR experiences. We noticed several groups enjoying VR while we were there. We arrived at the stroke of midnight and entered a nearly packed and fun venue. The bartenders were efficient and friendly. The indoor and outdoor spaces were much better than our late 80s early 90s college dive bars. The beer flowed in pitchers. Forgot about pitchers. The family tradition of 21st birthday Kamikaze shots was fulfilled. Last call and closing time was well managed. All in all a fun and enjoyable experience!

We are a newly retired couple a decade apart, and found a spot for all ages, including our college aged daughter who beat us to this establishment from MSU. For downtown it does not get any better. Fun, food, fabulousness. The best pizza, pizza, pizza, wings, and ice cold beer, heck yeah. Affordable, thought the owner had made a mistake as like so rarely affordable. Now let's talk about the owner, Collin, he was kind, cool, generous, gracious, humble and as we went at an off hour we had the pleasure to get to know him. One of Springfield's finest imo of living here 40 years nearly. The owner can make it or break it, he rocks it. We took advantage of the summer family deal It ends Monday the 31st so posting as soon as possible. The staff was very helpful as we had no idea how to operate the games or even play them. It was hard to tell if the game was on. Most everything is one turn = 1 point. The game maintenance guy was on the ball. Not sure if the games are old and need replaced but he was on the floor constantly fixing something. It was hard to tell if some of the games just didn't work or card reader didn't work or I didn't do it right. It was pretty empty for a Friday afternoon which was fine with us. It would have been awful to try and figure out how the games work with a line. The family deal came with drinks a 1 topping pizza and 2 cotton candy bags and 1000 tickets for the prizes. It was well worth the 120 point deal as probably took about 30 pts just to figure out how to play a game. By the time we figured out how to play the game the time ran out. Didn't care for the games that said "let's play again" kinda gets people to swipe their card automatically without thinking. All in all our granddaughter had a wonderful time and walked out with her arms full of prizes thanks to the 1000 tickets with the summer plan. We didn't expect her to eat so we arranged for carry out. Took it back to the grandkids house and no takers. Was weird kids always like pizza. She had a blast whether the game was on or not she played it. (She's 5) staff rated 5 and facilities 2.5 Again the staff was amazing but golly there was so much to fix kinda felt sorry for the game guy. But he was super pleasant and ready to fix whatever needed fixing (which was a lot). He even fixed the soda fountain which had run out of syrup. Great staff and most importantly our granddaughter had fun. Next time there is a special deal we may check it out again.

I also have started bringing my own skates. However, if you don't have your own, roller skates are included in your entry fee, but roller blades are an extra cost. They recently redid the rink during COVID, so the wood floors are nice and smooth now! They have arcade games, a mini cafe with snacks and concession foods. There are also lockers that you can rent for a quarter to put your shoes and keys in while you skate. It is definitely a mom and pop kinda feel, family owned and run. Pre COVID, there was one adult skate night where they handed out cupcakes for the owners birthday. Another time we showed up to skate for the last half hour and the lady at the front counter gave us a discount since there was only a little time left to skate. I don't ever expect this to happen again, but it was a kind gesture that you really only get with locally owned places. My one complaint is that they play the same 90s rap music during Adult Skate Night. I wish they would mix it up. However, I'm so glad there is a skate rink still open and operating in Springfield.

You pay full price to get into a two hour window of skating, they don't tell you when you pay if you are 5 minutes into that window or an hour and forty five minutes into that window. You would think they would say, "oh, you know you only have 20 minutes left to skate, right?" Nope. They'll take your money and blame you for the confusion. Then when you finally get out to skate, they clear the floor every couple of songs in order to play some stupid game that almost nobody wants to play. THEN they kick all the kids off the floor so that only adults can skate the last song that THEN opens the floor up for the next hour to ONLY adults. I swear, I have land, money, time and now desire to open up a skate park that is actually nice and doesn't have owners that are trying to fund their retirement and their grandkids retirement off the backs of their skaters, which really wouldn't be THAT bad if they offered a beautiful place to skate. I've only had this fire lit under me two other times in this life but I've accomplished my goals both of the other times and this time I am going to start tomorrow on working on this. I want this place out of business or completely reformed by the end of summer. They have become complacent by being the only place here in Springfield. I am going to change that. This place reset their hours during Covid, they crapped over their customers because they can. I aim to change that. I am SHOCKED at the ineptitude being practiced at this place. And the arrogance of the owner blew my mind. I have no words. I'm speechless. I am actually pissed to the point of doing something. Skateland, count your remaining days.
