Excellent family experience! Easy parking, nice variety of food and beverages and lots of audience engagement. read more

I hate the Cardinals and anything they touch or own. Still, this place is outstanding. Seriously, I'm an AL guy (Rangers) but sitting amongst Cardinals loyals was fun. The stadium is wonderful, as are its employees. Interestingly, the hometown fans were also pretty cool -- unlike their Yankees counterparts. ;-) The worst part of my experience here was getting into the car after the game and learning that my wife bought $75 in Cards gear. Go figure. Tickets here are reasonable. Concessions are likely to give you a virus. It's no different than most other venues. If you live nearby, this home team is a must. If you're traveling, make it a point to stop here. I wasn't quite turned into a Cardinals guy, but my experience here made it damn hard to hate them. read more

Where else are you going to go for a minor league game in Springfield? I've been here once and loved how close I could get to the action for $13 on a Tuesday. The crack of the bat, the whomp of the ball in the catcher's glove, I heard it all. I've been to several MLB games and these AA games are a great substitute. No need to drive to KC or STL the Springfield cardinals put on a great show. And don't forget the staff, they are friendly from start to finish. read more

Hammons Field - Stadiums & Arenas Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

Thumps up experience! Great field with good energy that kept the crowd engaged during innings. Best thing to get is the nachos or naked burrito. Unfortunately they didn't being back the foot long corn dog. Normal beer and mixed drink options with some local crafts but missed on the cider options. Look forward to coming back. read more

Nice stadium. Lots of entertainment action between innings. Several expensive food options. Tickets were reasonable. We were 9th row behind and right of home plate. Went and sat in grassy area while we ate It was cooler there with a breeze blowing in. read more

Hammons Field - In town for a couple days so caught a game - Stadiums & Arenas Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

OK. I've been documenting this ballpark since the beginning, literally from the ground up (http://croxton.net/hammonsfield/const_pix1.html), and I can tell you there is no finer, pure baseball experience to be found. Placed near the east end of Springfield, Missouri's Jordan Valley Park, it mixes the traditional with the modern without going to far on the latter. There are a few of the newer "family' amenities (basketball hoop, blow-up kiddie stuff), but again, it's more understated then most of the newer MiLB AND MLB ballparks. Are you coming to watch baseball and pass the love of the game on to your kids? Or are you wanting to drop them off at micro 'Wally World' so you can passively watch the game and get drunk with your buddies in peace? `Nuff said... Hammons field is an absolutely wonderful place to see a ball game, with very passionate fans right in the heart of Cardinal country (and I'm a Cub fan!!!). If you are in the area during the baseball season when Springfield or even the Missouri State University Bears are in town, try your darndest to check out a game at 'The Jewel of Jordan Valley Park'. read more

This is a great place to see a ballgame! There is not a bad seat in the house. The concessions are typically very expensive, and you may need to refinance your home if you plan on having a beer or three with any food. You can eat your weight in hotdogs if you get seats in the Redbird Roost. But I would recommend setting up an appointment with your cardiologist for the next day. The best night to go is on Friday. After each game on Friday they shoot off fireworks, and it's usually a great show. read more

It's amazing to have a MiLB team in such a small city like Springfield! Very good ticket prices and good prices on food and drinks. Parking is expensive though for a minor league team though. Go Cards! read more

As good as a ballpark gets. As usual, concessions are pricey, and not to thrilled with the fact you cant have lawn chairs out on the grass seating section. read more

What a great ballpark!!! Very affordable entertainment. Inflatables for the kids to play on. Can't wait! Louie and Fetch are very interactive with the crowd. Awesome atmosphere. Seating in grassy area in the outfield. Great place to get a home run ball. Lots of giveaways too!! Go baby birds!!!! read more

Hammons Field - Stadiums & Arenas Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

Such a nice place to visit! I personally am not a sports person, but the tickets are really affordable and the stadium keeps games interesting for all people. The grounds are super clean and the food is great-expensive, but it's a baseball stadium. Parking is $7 across the street, and $5 at the parking garage. They do a ton of promo nights that they lost in their website like dollar hot dog or brat night. read more

Small. Cozy. Exactly what you want for a AA, or even AAA, baseball field. The concession prices aren't horrible and you are allowed 1 sealed bottle of water per person. The promotions are fun and help you stock up that cache of random free junk that you stash around your house. read more

This is one of the cleanest stadiums! Its not a huge stadium so it is easy to navigate. As you would expect food and drinks are expensive but that sadly has become part of the experience of going to the ball park. We have had some great Springfield Cardinals that have been picked up by St Louis. It is always a fun community experience that is great for the whole family. I would recommend a Springfield Cardinals game for anyone in town looking for something to do. If you are lucky enough to experience one of the suites they are fantastic with all you can eat food and some of them even include drinks. Overall, this is a great asset to our community. read more

What a truly nice ballpark--- roomy, lots of vendor choices for food and drink, nice looking box seats, and it was clean and had the friendliest staff members! The games played during the breaks in the baseball game were engaging and entertaining. So thoroughly enjoyed the visit! read more

Got to make it to game 3 of the Texas League Championship Friday night at the field. The facility is superb, it has every amenity of a major league park, just a bit smaller. The energy glowing in the park during the game is amazing and the action is almost as good of driving to watch the bigs. This year I got to watch two of our Springfield Cardinals play so well that they'll probably never step foot into the stadium in Springfield ever again, sad, but we'll get to see soon in St Louis. Season 4 spring training starts in about 5 months. General admission tickets are only 5 bucks and it goes up from there. "Red Bird Roost" in my opinion, one of the best deals, $20.00 for your seat and all you can eat and all of the SODA you can drink. Beer is not included but it's still a pretty good deal. If you're lucky enough to hang out in one of the boxes, that's the place to be. If you like Baseball and you live in the area, this should be where you should be on a summer night. read more

It's a ballpark. If you're in the mood for baseball they provide pretty much what you'd expect, just a little bit cheaper.

Great experience. Seats are affordable. Staff is friendly. Concessions are waaaaay overpriced. If the concessions were as affordable as the seats it would we a total 5 star! read more

Although the place is well maintained, it's not the most beautiful field I've seen. Non-aesthetic buildings in the outfield hampered a better view. However, there is plenty of entertainment and the organization does a good job of keeping the fans involved between innings. read more

Great for the kiddos. They have bounce houses, playgrounds and grass to run on!!

Entertainment all the time from the spring to fall! The Springfield Cardinals don't only put on a great game of ball, they also provide an amazing amount of entertainment for us fans. The mascots are super fun to interact with. It's a great place to bring a family for a evening. The tickets are priced reasonably and the food is too! read more

Great way to spend an afternoon with family. General admission seating is perfect for families with children-room to move around and play. Restrooms and concessions are nearby. read more

Absolutely love this place. Love watching games there. It's fun to drive by it at night, and see it all lit up. The grassy park beside it is lit up in the winter with Christmas lights. read more

Inexpensive tickets. Very close to Missouri State University. For students, this is a great early fall night out.

Folks, I'm getting antsy. I need my fix. The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, I can't wait until baseball season starts. Six days after the Super Bowl pitchers report for spring training. To tide me over I have to review the brand new Hammonds Field. This complex, valued over 30 million dollars is beautiful. Getting ready to go into its second season of use, it will see some great moments. In between the Missouri State Bears and the AA Springfield Cardinals I can't wait. The best deal in the park is Redbird Roost. For about $23 per person, you can have a seat for the game and all the food and soda you can handle. If that's foul then sit in the outfield grass for about $5 per person. Either way how can you go wrong? You'll see a great game and get an autograph or two. See all-stars in the making and have memories for a lifetime. This spring go see America's Greatest Pastime and have a hot dog for me. read more

The best minor league Park I've ever visited. Very family friendly and enjoy taking the grandkids. Not a bad seat in the whole ballpark. Typical ballpark food but much less expensive than in St. Louis. Highly recommend. read more

It's sad that this is the only baseball entertainment we have in this town. Every time I go, I'm pretty much abused because I wear all my Texas Rangers and Frisco Roughriders gear. (I only attend games when Frisco is playing seeing as Texas is my team and I'm from Frisco). I was abused by Louie who took my hat, threw it, and had the crowd mock it. Staff members and "fans" are always rude. Look, I'm paying for nice seats. I always sit behind home plate and once I moved over one seat to see better since no one had been sitting there the whole game. When I cheered for Frisco I got awful comments from a man sitting near me saying he doubted I paid for these seats and he didn't want me in his section. RIDICULOUS. I also got called a bitch by a woman twice my age who was clearly intoxicated and it wasn't even the third inning (NO CUT OFF OF ALCOHOL WHEN A CUSTOMER IS INTOXICATED?). I understand rivalry and hazing but every time Frisco comes to play, these jackasses have the nerve to put clips from the 2011 World Series on the board and it pisses me off. HAVE SOME RESPECT. I'M A PAYING CUSTOMER WANTING TO SEE MY TEAM PLAY BALL, NOT GET ABUSED WHILE I'M ATTENDING. read more
