Very fun time, similar to an escape room but not timed. Kid and family friendly. Sweet and hospitable staff.

The Escape - Branson

I have been to Escape Rooms in 3 different states and 5 locations and each has been unique and…read moreinteresting in their own way. Escape Branson was a good time and even allowed us to take our small children in free of charge (8 and under). I am partial to the style of rooms that utilize the video monitor to feed clues rather than entering the room and unfortunately they enter the room here. I feel it takes away from the feeling of being "trapped" inside and needing to escape. The girl working the counter was nothing short of amazing. She was interactive with our kids distracting them and then including them during her brief to us by having them stretch out and speaking specifically to them. It was really adorable and unexpected to see her level of inclusion for the littles. She's the reason the place is getting 4 Stars. We did end up using 2 clues but we definitely didn't need them as we finished the room with more than 15 minutes remaining. They definitely had some clever clues and riddles that were new to someone like me that's done a lot of these. I felt the rooms were about average though and very good for beginners that need an introduction to escape rooms. So far Breakout Waikiki has set the standard for how Escape Rooms and no other establishment has come close to reaching the bar they've set.

Due to a great response and clearly caring about how their customers feel, I'm raising my rating to 4 stars. I am keeping my initial review posted, as I still believe the information is correct. Initial Review: I've done 60+ escape rooms and this one is mid for me. They do have good, tech-based puzzles. The problem is that there are not very many of them. We did Wizard of Oz, which is described as medium difficulty. After getting stuck by a tech-specific element in the first room, I thought we were struggling. We still finished with over 20 minutes left. I walked out thinking, "that's it?" I would hate to see what the low difficulty room is like. Another matter, which doesn't factor into my rating but is good to know...they charge a ridiculous booking fee. For three people, it should have been $120. When they told me my total of $142, I was shocked. It was $22 in taxes and a booking fee. And...I didn't even book ahead of time. I was a walk in. I guess the booking fee is for them allowing me to play? I love escape rooms, but a high-priced room that's light on puzzles just isn't worth it. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to try any of their other rooms.

You can grab tickets online or in person, and they have a really cute gift shop with fun little trinkets worth browsing before or after your tour. Our tour guide Lee was so amazing! He's been there for years and years and you can just tell. Great stories, super personable, the kind of guide that makes the whole experience way more memorable. We even spotted a bat hibernating which was such a cool unexpected moment! The cave itself is fascinating and I loved that it was great for all ages. Our group ranged from little kids to people in their 70s and everyone was into it with no problems. A few spots can get slightly slippery so just watch your step, but there are handrails throughout so nothing felt unsafe. Also found out they host events here too like a black light event and even concerts inside the cave which sounds incredibly cool. Definitely want to come back for one of those. Overall I was really impressed and would highly recommend adding this to your Missouri road trip list.

That's pretty rare with cave tours. This was the only cave tour we did during our week-long family summer vacation in Missouri and we enjoyed it. Our guide, Maddie, was wonderful and very enthusiastic. The tour was an hour and we had a smaller group who were wonderful and I enjoyed learning about the cave, the history of the cave, and walking all around. It was fun and well done. If you are nearby, this is something I think you should do. They have plenty of parking, nice grounds, a penny press souvenir machine, a nice gift shop and are great with kids with some other interactive things to do before or after the tour.
