The staff was very helpful in explaining what to expect and adjusting our equipment. At first it is hard to adjust to the play area in the game vs. the actual room you are in (a grid pops up in the game so you don't run into any real walls) as well as the hand controls, but after a few minutes you get used to it . We did Beyond Medusa's Gate and it was fun to do puzzles in Ancient Greece and it really required teamwork like a real escape room. The only other virtual reality we have done is The Void in Atlanta, and while that was fun for a 15 minute intro to exploring VR, Questledge is more like a true 60 minute escape room where you feel challenged and truly experience that adrenaline rush of figuring out what to do next. We can't wait to go back.

We finally got our band back together to swing by and I'm so glad we did! The escape game was thoughtful and complex enough to take the full hour to figure out. The challenge of the Auction House was very fun and we were finally able to solve it with some assistance and about 30 seconds left. I would highly recommend Questledge for their escapes, scavenger hunts and VR experiences. We noticed several groups enjoying VR while we were there. After watching the intro instructions to our adventure, we entered the Guest House within minutes, and began our escape. Before our caretaker left the room, she stated "be curious about everything in the room". Great advice but we needed to work faster. Use the free hints earlier than later. Stopped here during a weekend trip near Lake of the Ozarks. Missouri has so many caves and I'd been…read morewanting to do one, so glad we picked this one. You can grab tickets online or in person, and they have a really cute gift shop with fun little trinkets worth browsing before or after your tour. Our tour guide Lee was so amazing! He's been there for years and years and you can just tell. Great stories, super personable, the kind of guide that makes the whole experience way more memorable. We even spotted a bat hibernating which was such a cool unexpected moment! The cave itself is fascinating and I loved that it was great for all ages. Our group ranged from little kids to people in their 70s and everyone was into it with no problems. A few spots can get slightly slippery so just watch your step, but there are handrails throughout so nothing felt unsafe. Also found out they host events here too like a black light event and even concerts inside the cave which sounds incredibly cool. Definitely want to come back for one of those. Overall I was really impressed and would highly recommend adding this to your Missouri road trip list.

It was very sensitive and when we turned it the way the assistant told us to, it still did not work. The assistant sent someone to tell us how it worked, and after that, it still didn't work. We finally got to move on to the next room, but this broken piece of equipment cost us at least 10 minutes in the room.

Escape Branson was a good time and even allowed us to take our small children in free of charge (8 and under). I am partial to the style of rooms that utilize the video monitor to feed clues rather than entering the room and unfortunately they enter the room here. I feel it takes away from the feeling of being "trapped" inside and needing to escape. The girl working the counter was nothing short of amazing. She was interactive with our kids distracting them and then including them during her brief to us by having them stretch out and speaking specifically to them. It was really adorable and unexpected to see her level of inclusion for the littles. She's the reason the place is getting 4 Stars. We did end up using 2 clues but we definitely didn't need them as we finished the room with more than 15 minutes remaining. They definitely had some clever clues and riddles that were new to someone like me that's done a lot of these. I felt the rooms were about average though and very good for beginners that need an introduction to escape rooms. So far Breakout Waikiki has set the standard for how Escape Rooms and no other establishment has come close to reaching the bar they've set.

We were extremely dissatisfied with our visit. To have only one guy running 5 different escape…read morerooms is just sad. We waited 5 minutes for our first hint just to step out to hunt him down and find out that he didn't turn on his walkie talkie yet because he was too busy with other groups. Not to mention the fact that we still finished with about 15 minutes to spare and sat there messing with it for up until about 5 seconds left because he wasn't there to notice that we made it out. We ended up having to ask him what we were waiting on and have him realize we finished. To overbook and understaff like this baffles me. It was definitely our last time at Cryptex.
