We came for a family outing during the holidays and had an amazing time. Perfect activity to have some fun and share a few laughs. Two in our group had done other escape rooms previous but a new experience for three of us. Lori from 417 escape could not have been more pleasant, gracious and helpful. Kudos to her for assisting us in this process. We chose one of the "hard" rooms and i must admit, it is a challenge. We had to utilize clues a few times in order to complete this. Truck Driver/Escape Room Enthusiast here! I travel the country and scout out the best rooms in the US. At this location my usual escape room partner and I did 2 rooms (Deadly Seven and Springfield Secret Warehouse). These were claimed to be their hardest and easiest respectively. Want an honest review of where they stand compared to others in the industry? Read on. Did we escape: I'm going to count it as Yes on both. First one if we had 15 more seconds we would have (I'll explain later on that), and the other we escaped with somewhere around 15 minutes to spare. Decor: 5/10: you got the feel of what they were trying to set the mood as, but did they go above and beyond? Absolutely not. It was very average. Technology: 2/10: Don't expect anything fancy here. In fact, I think it was a baby monitor that they used as a way of talking to us. Technology isn't always an indicator of how good/bad a room is, but it's usually a nice bonus feature that these rooms did not have. Puzzles 4/10: 1 room majorly lacked on the puzzle side. It was basically just a big hide-and-go-seek game. Couple puzzles, but they weren't anything to write home about. The other room... I don't really know how to describe it. Loaded with puzzles, some of them genius, some of them made no sense unless you got more info from the game master that wasn't provided to you within the room. Mostly, it was infuriating, not fun. Flow/Rhythm 1/10: This is one of the most important elements of a room, and they majorly dropped the ball. The flow is determined on how the clues, puzzles, and opened locks correlate with each other and you ultimately escape the room. It was chaos. So much in fact that not in one but BOTH rooms we were able to escape without ever opening all the locks and solving some puzzles (this is why we didn't officially escape the first room because we had the exit code, but couldn't figure out why we had it with locks still in play). This should NEVER happen. There was no process, no structure, just complete random and hoping your moving in the right general direction. Game masters 6/10: A game master can really set the tone of the whole experience. Are they upbeat and excited or is it just another day at work and you are kinda a bother to them? They seemed to be both. It was actually kinda impressive how they could be excited and annoyed by your existence all rolled into one. Hats off for that talent! Price 5/10: It is completely on par with the industry norm, but I have seen MUCH better technology, equipment, and decor for the same price as they are offering. Final Score 23/60 (38.3% F): This isn't the worst place I have ever been, but it does rank in the bottom 25%. I would investigate your other local escape rooms before coming here. If you have never done a room before, you could go ahead and try the Springfield Secret Warehouse for a first room. It could get your feet wet, but it isn't how a typical room should go, and you should know that before going. Happy Escaping Everyone! read more

I'm a HUGE murder/mystery fan. A group of 6 of us did the 417 Lounge room and it was SO much fun! Anne was our guide, and she was watching us the entire time and giving us little hints as we went, and she was just a doll. The story itself was interesting, the clues weren't terribly hard, and the room itself was large enough for all of us. We made it out with 11:17 to spare!
