Tetris, my favorite. And TRON, another old school favorite.

I don't really know what I'm talking about when it comes to old school arcades, but I'd say for a city like Springfield, 1984 is doing a fantastic job. The way to pay is an entrance fee per person and you can play majority of the games with your entrance fee, stay as long as you'd like, beat someone else's high score, ya know, the good stuff. You do have to pay extra for the pinball machine, but who wouldn't? Pinball is just fun. They have an upstairs and a downstairs with arcade games. There are neat touches all throughout, like the decor, little seating nooks (the couch by the entrance has cool 1980s yearbooks from high schools and colleges around the Springfield area). They do have snack type food and drinks for purchase as well. This is a really fun place to go if you have guests from out of town and want something to do. Or even just with local friends when you want to get out and have some cheap fun. Overall, 5/5 stars! I've been multiple times, and I know I'll be back again!

My husband and I had a blast from the past here! $10 a person to play arcade games and pinball at great low prices. Loved all the decor!! Great date night idea

Just went for our first time and we had a blast!! Cant wait to come back for more flashback fun!! Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was great!!

Rampage, for when you just need to release some stress and destroy a city! I remember playing this so much on the original Nintendo

Been here several times and each time you can tell they keep reinvesting into the business as more games get added and decor keeps getting better. Great place and glad to see it doing well in Springfield. Pros: 1) Great Value: for $7.50 (I remember when it was as low as $5) for all day access, with the ability to leave and come back makes it hands down one of the most affordable options for entertainment. You get more bang for your buck then going to the movies, bowling, a baseball game etc. 2) Great Selection of Games: every time I go, they have something new! 3) Staff: great people and great owners who enjoy what they do! Cons: 1) Paid Pinball: I LOVE pinball and truth be told, that is all I want to play but I understand why they charge for those games, as maintenance on them is a full time job. Just wish they would set all of them to $0.25... seeing how I already paid $7.50 just to get inside the place. 2) Parking: can be a bit of a pain downtown during the evening rush and esp on weekend nights. Just part of being in downtown and not much you can do about it. 3) Busy: things can get busy in the evening and if there is a certain game you want to play only, you may have to wait it out. Part of life, first-world problems.

Wannabe pinball wizards who spent the late 80s and early 90s sweating it out in old-school arcades will feel right at home in this homage to the era of big hair and bad fashion. The games are in pristine condition, and for a mere $7.50 you can spend all night trying futilely to top the high scores of your youth. And, when it all gets too heavy, you can head downstairs and chill in their approximation of the haunted library from Ghostbusters. If that sounds like 8-bit nirvana, you may be wondering what's up with the four star rating. Two things: 1) Fun as 1984 is in its current form, it would be infinitely better if alcohol were served on the premises, and 2) the pinball machines still take quarters even after you pay your entry fee. My solution? Get your buzz on before you go and make sure you bring some cash.

They also have a pinball section but I don't really care about pinball when there are actual good games around.

We get a good price as we usually put $$ on the game cards and that will basically give us a free buffet. The service behind the counters, both at check in and ordering a pizza, is amazing as they always have a smile on their faces. However, it seems the last few times we have visited, the quality of the food has dropped quite a bit. Even when ordering a special made to order pizza it seems sub-par. When we used to order a thin crust pizza it would be hot and crispy crust. These times it seems they have sped up the conveyor on the oven and they've been undercooked and soggy. The thicker crust pizzas on the buffet are usually quite doughy which makes me believe I may be on the right track. With other arcades available in the area we may find an alternative to our monthly pizza/game outings. The atmosphere of the place is great. Like I said; those behind the counters usually wear smile and are of great help. It's fun to watch the families enjoy this place as we did when our kids were younger and we brought them there. Even better is 98% of those kids are very well behaved and are quite polite. (Thank You Parents) We may give it one more try in a month or two and if things improve, I will make great effort to update this review as such. Have a Happy Day!

The staff was very helpful in explaining what to expect and adjusting our equipment. At first it is hard to adjust to the play area in the game vs. the actual room you are in (a grid pops up in the game so you don't run into any real walls) as well as the hand controls, but after a few minutes you get used to it . We did Beyond Medusa's Gate and it was fun to do puzzles in Ancient Greece and it really required teamwork like a real escape room. The only other virtual reality we have done is The Void in Atlanta, and while that was fun for a 15 minute intro to exploring VR, Questledge is more like a true 60 minute escape room where you feel challenged and truly experience that adrenaline rush of figuring out what to do next. We can't wait to go back.

Our group was a mixture of kids and adults but we all enjoyed the hunt. We wanted to escape in the future so Debbie arranged for us to return. We finally got our band back together to swing by and I'm so glad we did! The escape game was thoughtful and complex enough to take the full hour to figure out. The challenge of the Auction House was very fun and we were finally able to solve it with some assistance and about 30 seconds left. I would highly recommend Questledge for their escapes, scavenger hunts and VR experiences. We noticed several groups enjoying VR while we were there. Debbie and company have a good thing going on Main Street!

You pay full price to get into a two hour window of skating, they don't tell you when you pay if you are 5 minutes into that window or an hour and forty five minutes into that window. You would think they would say, "oh, you know you only have 20 minutes left to skate, right?" Nope. They'll take your money and blame you for the confusion. Then when you finally get out to skate, they clear the floor every couple of songs in order to play some stupid game that almost nobody wants to play. THEN they kick all the kids off the floor so that only adults can skate the last song that THEN opens the floor up for the next hour to ONLY adults. I swear, I have land, money, time and now desire to open up a skate park that is actually nice and doesn't have owners that are trying to fund their retirement and their grandkids retirement off the backs of their skaters, which really wouldn't be THAT bad if they offered a beautiful place to skate. I've only had this fire lit under me two other times in this life but I've accomplished my goals both of the other times and this time I am going to start tomorrow on working on this. I want this place out of business or completely reformed by the end of summer. They have become complacent by being the only place here in Springfield. I am going to change that. This place reset their hours during Covid, they crapped over their customers because they can. I aim to change that. I am SHOCKED at the ineptitude being practiced at this place. And the arrogance of the owner blew my mind. I have no words. I'm speechless. I am actually pissed to the point of doing something. Skateland, count your remaining days.

I also have started bringing my own skates. However, if you don't have your own, roller skates are included in your entry fee, but roller blades are an extra cost. They recently redid the rink during COVID, so the wood floors are nice and smooth now! They have arcade games, a mini cafe with snacks and concession foods. There are also lockers that you can rent for a quarter to put your shoes and keys in while you skate. It is definitely a mom and pop kinda feel, family owned and run. Pre COVID, there was one adult skate night where they handed out cupcakes for the owners birthday. Another time we showed up to skate for the last half hour and the lady at the front counter gave us a discount since there was only a little time left to skate. I don't ever expect this to happen again, but it was a kind gesture that you really only get with locally owned places. My one complaint is that they play the same 90s rap music during Adult Skate Night. I wish they would mix it up. However, I'm so glad there is a skate rink still open and operating in Springfield.
