Took my son there for his first birthday (not a reserved party, just took him there to eat). Everyone was super nice, and the staff helped us out a lot. We had old coins we were hoping to turn into plays but couldn't unfortunately, o well the nice employee at the counter told us what games still took them so we were still able to play. First off the staff was amazing. Had trouble with my coupon and the lady at the desk helped me with my phone. We took advantage of the summer family deal It ends Monday the 31st so posting as soon as possible. The staff was very helpful as we had no idea how to operate the games or even play them. It was hard to tell if the game was on. Most everything is one turn = 1 point. The game maintenance guy was on the ball. Not sure if the games are old and need replaced but he was on the floor constantly fixing something. It was hard to tell if some of the games just didn't work or card reader didn't work or I didn't do it right. It was pretty empty for a Friday afternoon which was fine with us. It would have been awful to try and figure out how the games work with a line. The family deal came with drinks a 1 topping pizza and 2 cotton candy bags and 1000 tickets for the prizes. It was well worth the 120 point deal as probably took about 30 pts just to figure out how to play a game. By the time we figured out how to play the game the time ran out. Didn't care for the games that said "let's play again" kinda gets people to swipe their card automatically without thinking. All in all our granddaughter had a wonderful time and walked out with her arms full of prizes thanks to the 1000 tickets with the summer plan. We didn't expect her to eat so we arranged for carry out. Took it back to the grandkids house and no takers. Was weird kids always like pizza. She had a blast whether the game was on or not she played it. (She's 5) staff rated 5 and facilities 2.5 Again the staff was amazing but golly there was so much to fix kinda felt sorry for the game guy. But he was super pleasant and ready to fix whatever needed fixing (which was a lot). He even fixed the soda fountain which had run out of syrup. The girl checking us in was new, however the was a manager 6 feet from her that watched her struggle and when she asked any questions the manager seemed annoyed. I understand being annoyed but train her beater, lead her instead of struggling in front of customers. The kid beside her checked in 3 customers before she could check us. Then the give you a buzzer for when your pizza is done, mine never went off so after 40 min, I know this because of the play card count down, I went and checked on the expectation of time and was told oh we buzzed it several times! My sister and brother-in-law surprised our daughter with a Chuck E. Cheese party for her 7th Birthday while we were up visiting from TX. The kids loved it! Mine have never been to a Chuck E. Cheese but have been to several arcades over the years so they were used to how things went. Most modern arcades use "swipe"cards instead of coins and the machines tally up your tickets electronically instead of the paper tickets from when I used to go to arcades in the olden days of the 80s. Despite being "Covid times", it felt fairly normal in there. Most people wore masks. It doesn't offend me if someone wasn't. Party was cool. Kids all got bags with several (toy) items, pizza, dip-n-dots ice cream, balloons, birthday girl got her name on the tv screen and was able to go in a ticket wind machine. Kids had a great time playing games. I even played a few myself. Prizes seem a little lame. I mean, for 2 hours of play, they got enough tickets for a bag of cotton candy. I couldn't imagine how long/how much $ to get a decent prize. Our server was really good. Always explained everything to my sister (about how things were going to, time frames, etc). She was very attentive. I actually thought, "I don't know how people could work there... that job is not for me." Glad she appeared to enjoy her job. Place itself does seem a bit wailed on. I'm not sure how old it was but it's showing some wear and tear. Games must have been moved and the carpet looks really worn in spots and brand new in others. Women's bathroom was pretty gross. It smelled awful and one of the stalls was out of order. Not sure the cost. I didn't want to ask. Probably $150ish would be my guess. All in all, kids had a great time and that's really what matters. The place could use some updates and TLC. Still recommend coming here. read more

I had the date wrong for a special event and wasn't going to be able to afford the regular price to play games, but the staff member ended up getting the deal to work and it saved my kiddo's day! Why are people dogging Chuck?!!! With underpaid staff, and a corporate chain what are people expecting?... We stopped in the other day to just ride some rides, and I was blown away by how many they offered for my 3 year old! They were also way cheaper than Incredible Pizza; I spent $10 and was able to get 30 rides!.. No I didn't try the food, but is that the biggest complaint, there's not an all you can eat buffet for all the obese people here? That would make sense why IP scored higher. Chuck E Cheese has just as many things for a 3 year old as IP does, and it's half the price!!! Sure if your kids are older they might want IP, but if it's a hot or rainy day, and you have a kid 4 or less hit Chuck E instead! You'll be happy you did and your wallet will too! read more

This is by far, the best birthday party we've ever had for one of our kids. The staff was over the top amazing. For starters, we booked the VIP party which gives your party a private party before the facility even opens!! I never even knew this option existed. From the moment we walked in, every employee catered to our every need. I will never do a party any other way than this. Worth every penny. Erin was our coordinator and I can't tell you how unbelievably nice and helpful she was. We had a total of 14 kids and 9 adults. The kids were constantly making comments about how much fun they were having and the adults even got in on the fun! The food was out exactly when they said it would be and was hot and fresh. Every employee was as pleasant and helpful as the next. I really didn't expect this type of service from a Chuck E Cheese honestly. Never really had bad service at a Chuck E. Cheese but I'm more used to rushed, and non-personable staff at these establishments. I had two parents already planning their first ever Chuck E. Cheese parties for their kids based solely on this experience. Thank you to the GM who caked out to speak with us regarding our experience. They rigged games to not have bonus' after seeing me able to win a lot of tickets on operation with skill. Pretty sad. The employees are constantly quitting. The management that rigs the games must not be any fun to work for. Expect to wait if you need anything. They can't keep employees so it's always understaffed. read more

My kids love this place. The pizza is mediocre and the salad bar is absolutely disgusting. However I come here for the enjoyment my kids have and the look on their faces when we tell them we are going to Chuck E Cheese. The pay out for the prizes is a rip off. But hey as long as your kids are having a good time is worth it. I really wish they would decrease the value of the token though. Anyways this place had horrible customer service. My wife had my two daughters take a picture in the little sketch booth and when the picture printed it came out with a huge blank place right in the middle of the picture. My wife took it to the management and told them about it. They said that a few other customers had complained about it "but I guess no one has fixed it yet" . If you're going to tell a customer that please put an out of order sign on the machine. Next thing that was absolutely wrong is that the dining area is poorly maintained as far cleanliness goes. We were super disappointed. Half the games don't work. The other half have no explanations of how to play so it's very confusing. And maybe I'm old school but half the fun is collecting the tickets and cashing them in for a prize, now it's all done on cards so you don't even know how many tickets you have. My kids still love going here once in a while and honestly, it's a great time for little cash. The prizes are never worth the $ spent in tokens, but the kids enjoy playing games so it's all worth it. I actually like the cheese pizza and salad bar, and you can't beat free refills. We probably go to chuckees every month to couple of months or so. We just took my son on Friday. I always love the pizza, wings, and salad bar. Everything was fine except the salad bar. It was barron and honestly gross tasting for what they did have. We were there a little over 2hrs and it didn't get filled. Also the past 3-4 times we have went chuckee doesn't show? It is extremely concerning that when the emergency exit alarm goes off by the back, you cannot even hear it at the front. There's no way to prevent small children from opening that exit and then be out in a busy parking lot. Cheese is a fun place to go to and every time me and my friends would go there we always prefer to play games and not eat their food because of YouTube saying that they reuse their pizza which had caused me not to trust their pizza and not eat there. Also the things that I mainly didn't like was that some of them was rigged but some were not. After hearing some stuff about the pizzas and the way they did not connect which some pieces were big and small and even the pizza is off the tray. Came here with 4 adults and 4 kids. We got an extra large pepperoni pizza, 8 drinks, and 4 one hour play cards. It cost roughly 130 dollars. Food and fun. The reloadable cards are way better than the tokens. Cute little things for tickets. You can also buy the cotton candy instead of using tickets, for only $2. We were torn between here and the incredible pizza company but I have to say I like chuck e cheese better plus the pizza taste way better here. read more

If my six-year-old was rating this place it would be five stars easily. If it's just me then one star. So I am splitting the difference. The pizza is expensive and tastes like frozen grocery store pizza. The games are terrible. The kids blow through their tokens too fast, and the prizes are total junk. A good place to hit after a visit to the dollar menus of fast food land with the 6 and under set as most of the games are really more to there liking. We attended our neice's birthday party here. They were understaffed, unorganized, unprepared and unpleasant. I know you hate your job but suck it up and fake smile for the five year olds. It was total chaos. No one knew what was going on. The employees rushed through happy birthday brought out the mouse for 10 min to be shared amoung 5 birthday kids (tech 6 b/c one party was for 2 kids). They had no one to help with their numerous broken game machines that ate tokens and didn't dispense tickets. Our party host had to go find silverware for the cake (unprepared). All the tables were marked reserved so the party attendees had no idea which tables were for which group, even though you can pay extra to reserve said tables. And even without serving alcohol, some loser next to us come over and took our kids pizza. What a crappy experience. Definitely not worth the money. read more

WAY beyond cheesy and into the realm of DISTURBING. My family's first time at Chuck E Cheese was on my youngest son's 4th birthday. He saw the commercials and really wanted to go. We paid out the wahoo for *terrible* food, but worst of all, we thought he was going to have a more private celebration. NOPE- he celebrated his birthday with 10 other kids AND their families. We didn't even get our own table! We had to share with someone else. The characters are outdated, and frankly creepy. The 4 and 5 year olds were scared, the older kids thought it was stupid, the adults couldn't stop laughing at this awful lip-synced dance routine. The workers were offended, but I paid a lot of money for this party and it was just plain stupid. It was so crowded it was unenjoyable, and half the games do not work. This venue may be ok for a bit of fun for an hour, but not for a birthday party or a meal. Incredible Pizza Company is better. Words cannot express enough how disappointed I was after going here with my daughter the other night. This place has gone down hill hard. Chuck E. Cheese, and Showbiz Pizza were the two big pizza/arcade restaurants in San Diego when I was growing up. I remember all the awesome games, the cool mechanical puppet shows, and the great food both places had. 1985 was the last year I stepped into one of these places. Monday night, I decided to take my daughter to the Chuck E. Cheese here in Springfield, and was looking forward to her experiencing the fun times I had over 30 years ago. Needless to say, I was sorely disappointed. The place looked dirty, and very few people in it. The staff seemed friendly, but inattentive. paid 27 bucks for a large combo pizza, which was no big deal, but the appearance and taste of the pizza was severely lacking. The crust was hard and crunchy, like it was over cooked, the sauce was so salty I hardly managed to choke down the few slices I managed to swallow. The veggies on the pizza were cut way too big, and looked wilted. My daughter finished her slice, and wanted to play games. I went back up to the counter to get some tokens, 50 bucks later we had enough for my daughter to play for a few hours. They don't have near the games they use to, and most of them are the rigged carnie games you see at carnivals. She got most of her tickets playing skee ball, which was really the only game worth playing. What ever happened to having row upon endless row of video games? She wanted to get a toy at the end of the night, but the costs were too high, and their selection of prizes was terrible. This place is just as bed, if not worse than incredible's pizza, which is pretty dang bad in my book. The mechanical puppet stage show was non existent as well. I honestly don't think I will ever take my kids here ever again. They might as well close, it was that bad. Do not waste your time or your money here folks. Seriously, got order a pizza somewhere, rent a couple movies, and maybe play a board game with your kids. It will be cheaper, and more fun for all of you. It's sad to say this, because I loved this place and Showbiz pizza when I was a kid, so I am stunned it got so bad in 30 years. Find a Dave and Busters, or go to Lighthouse Lanes if you want to have a fun night out with your kids.
