I had a wonderful lunch at 1803 where everything I ordered tasted very good. The Cup Signature Gumbo was amazing and the absolute best part of the whole meal was definitely the flavorful jambalaya rice inside it. I also really enjoyed the Cajun Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was cooked perfectly. It was an excellent meal from start to finish. The bar has a lively and tropical atmosphere.
Stopped in for a late night dinner at 1803 and was pretty hairy with my experience. As someone who didn't eat seafood, I was a little more limited than my friends. But that's on new, it's NOLA inspired, so you're going to have plenty of seafood options. The burger I had was pretty good, we were happy with the service, and the restaurant itself was very cool looking. I'm rarely in the area, but if I was again, I'd be happy to try some more of their food.
Amazing place for hanging out and eating good! To start off we ordered the Cajun Hot Corn and it came with some of the best chips we've ever had (amazingly seasoned)!! My husband ordered the shrimp po-boy sandwich and I ordered the dirty dirty duck bowl. Both were great both were delicious. I don't typically like going to NYC restaurants twice since there's so many to try from but we'd definitely come back here again! Qualify service and cute postcard on your way out.
Another one of those spots I've had bookmarked for a while and needed an excuse to be in the area to be able to go out of my way to try them out. That excuse was finding a new primary doctor and was in the area. So here we are. Someone told me that this was the best creole restaurant in NYC and I have to say they might be onto something. I came in for brunch alone, so I was able to get seated by the bar. Otherwise it sounds like you really need a reservation to be able to get a table. I can only imagine how busy they get for dinner. They had a jazz band playing on the mezzanine level, so you really feel like you're in NOLA. I started off with a cup of their Signature Gumbo ($13), which was a great way to start my meal and a way to warm up from the cold winter. This consisted of oysters, crab, shrimp, andouille sausage, tomato with cajun rice on the side. For entree, I ordered the Crawfish Cake Benedict ($24), which tasted amazing. Unlike your typical Eggs Benedict, which is on an English muffin, sub that muffin out with a crawfish patty and yeah...I'm not eating regular eggs benedict again. This comes with a side salad and home fries. And yes, I was very full and satisfied afterwards. Definitely am coming back again to try out other food items and their dinner menu.
Came for a quick dinner since we were in the area ... The Knick's playoffs was in full swing so we just decided to grab a bite on a Saturday night without a reservation. We were immediately seated upstairs with a view of the game. The downstairs was full and there was def a vibe with Knicks fans in house. Our server was nice and checked on us throughout our meal. For the appetizer we tried the charbroiled oysters with the sourdough bread and finished those in seconds. That was good but that's pretty much where the good food ended. The jambalaya had a great amount of protein but it was dry and flavorless. I was thoroughly disappointed. Hubby tried the salmon and that was lacking flavor as well. New Orleans food is supposed to be robust and rich in flavor. The food was just bland. Food doesn't necessarily need to have a lot of salt to be good but there was just no salt or that great New Orleans Cajun flavor that I adore . I would say the portion size was decent. I remember coming here a very long time ago and I don't recall not liking it. Maybe because I hadn't been to New Orleans yet. The drinks were tasty but the liquor was minimal. I usually order 2/3 rounds of drinks but I was so disappointed with the food we just decided to head home.
Came for brunch on a rainy Saturday. Loved the decor, there was a live band doing covers of top hits, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We both got a full rack of ribs, Mac and cheese, and brussels sprouts to share. The ribs were so tender. We also partook in the bottomless margs. Very strong!

It wasn't a great food night for us, but the drinks, vibe, ambiance, and service were amazing. That said, not sure how I'd rate this spot. I wish Yelp had an "I'll let you know the next time I return" button. I wanted to LOVE this place, but I don't want to shoot it down because our food could've been a very off night. You know how sometimes it's a fluke? That's how I somewhat feel. I'll rate it a 3.5 because I want it to be a 5. We'll reconvene when I return for my second review. I need another opportunity to assess. Meanwhile, gone fries and drinks! That's all I can vouch for right now. Happy 2026!
This is a 4.5 star review I've now been to 1803 twice: once for a work happy hour and once for a friend happy hour. I genuinely can't believe I didn't know this place was so close to my office. It's so funky and classy. The bar is beautiful and there's a good amount of space, with two floors. For happy hour, which goes until 7pm, I've had a number of spritzes and white wines. Both were good and were ($10-12). I also had a slider, which I really liked. It was nice and juicy/flavorful, although a bit undercooked. I also had some vegetarian nachos which were really good with beans and peppers and cheese etc. These were both around $12 each as happy hour items. Staff is always super nice!
My friend and I wanted to try somewhere new for brunch and came across 1803 NYC on TikTok. Definitely glad we did! We started with the charbroiled oysters and spinach dip - both were so good. The spinach dip especially caught our attention because the texture was different from any other we've had. It seemed like the spinach and artichoke were blended instead of chunky, which actually made it super smooth and flavorful. For drinks, we ordered a pitcher of French 75, which gave us about 8 glasses total (well worth it ). For our entrees, we shared the pancakes and jambalaya - both were amazing and the portions were generous. What really sealed the deal was the service. Everyone from the hosts to our server was incredibly kind and attentive. Once they found out it was my birthday, they surprised us with frozen watermelon margaritas - and I don't even like watermelon, but this drink was actually good! The space itself isn't huge, but it's a nice size for the area, and there's even an upstairs balcony with extra seating. Prices were also really fair considering the portion sizes and quality. These days, too many restaurants are overpriced with average service, but not here. I've already told all my friends about 1803 NYC and will 100% be back. Highly recommend for a fun, flavorful brunch spot in the city!
My sisters and I had an AMAZING experience on Friday night thanks to Bridget and the manager, whose name slipped my mind (I think it was Francisco). I'm so sorry if not but I do know they were both so lovely to the three of us. We loved everything we got especially the chasing goat cocktail, steak frites and charbroiled oysters. We also enjoyed the coconut bread with jasmine butter. Bridget and the manager also tried their best to accommodate us in terms of moving our table. It ultimately didn't work out but it didn't matter to myself nor my sisters because we thoroughly enjoyed the vibes the food and the drinks. The entire staff was welcoming and made sure we had a great experience. Thank you so much for celebrating our birthdays and making sure we enjoyed ourselves. I will definitely return.
The food here was pretty good but the star of the show to me were the grilled oysters. They were so good and packed so much flavor I had two orders of them. My only complaint was that they were very small. For my entree I had the shrimp etouffe it was pretty good but didn't have as much flavor as I was expecting especially since this is supposed to be a cajun restaurant. The beignets were a disappointment - they had no flavor and was on the dry side. I found the service to be a little slow and the drink prices were on the higher side but overall it was a pretty decent experience.
My daughter went here with a friend a couple of years ago and has been begging me to go back with her and trying to get someone to take her on a date there. It for sure is a cute date spot...decor, vibe, drinks. The food is very good. I've now been twice and although I posted pics from the first visit, I can't remember what those menu items were. This last time I had the short rib ragu and the gem and herb salad and my daughter had charbroiled oysters and the gumbo with dirty rice. The pasta was very good but I was disappointed when it was served with shells instead of the paccheri noted on the menu. The salad was very good--fresh, crisp, complex, lightly dressed. Gumbo and rice was good, as were the oysters but my daughter said they weren't as hot as she would have expected since they were fired. We shared the croissant-based bread pudding, which is a must. Drinks were very good but I can't remember what we had. Service--there's a host there who's always so sweet to us. Love it. Looking forward to next time.
Very cute place that reminds me of New Orleans. I heard there's also a speakeasy here. We were seated very quickly. The staff was very kind and patient as we figured out what we wanted. I ordered the jambalaya. It was honestly pretty good and comparable to what I had in New Orleans in my opinion. The seasoning was great and I really enjoyed all of it. Would definitely recommend the spot if you're missing a taste of NOLA!

Great brunch! Food- food was good portion sizes, super flavorful, presented well, and so tasty. Drink- nice variety of cocktails. We got bottomless mimosas. Space- makes you feel like you're in NOLA. Flowers, colorful, open, nice decor. Service- they were severely understaffed but our server was friendly and attentive. We could just see him running around servicing waaay too many tables. Great Creole restaurant with an awesome vibe! Came here on a weeknight. I made sure to make reservations ahead of time, since the restaurant tends to be busy. The place was crowded, but we got a table on the second floor right away. For appetizers, we ordered the Honey Chili Brussels Sprouts and the Cajun Shrimp Skewers. Both were delicious with a ton of flavor. 5/5 for appetizers. For my entree, I had the Cornmeal-crusted Black Sea Bass. It was also really good. The fish was seared perfectly, the vegetables and lemon butter sauce combined with it perfectly. 4.5/5 for entree. For dessert, we shared the Hummingbird cake. I enjoyed the cake filling, which was coffee flavor, more than the rest of the cake. 4/5 for dessert. I think next time I might order the Beignets or Bread Pudding. The atmosphere gets a 5/5 for me. And the service was very good. I think this is a great restaurant to experience the New Orleans vibe without leaving NYC. read more

Came here on a Saturday morning with a reservation. This place is bright, welcoming, and filled with greenery. We ordered the pitcher for the the French 75 which was light, sweet, and perfect for a party of 3. We had the chicken and waffles which came with 3 different sauces (chili oil, syrup, and some white creamy sauce) all of which worked really well and gave us different ways to enjoy this dish. I would highly recommend ordering the charbroiled oysters! Although its small portion, the flavor makes up for it. read more

This restaurant has a nice cool vibe to it. It is a cajun style restaurant which I don't particularly like that style of food but I came to see my friends. The drinks we had were good some of us had mocktails and some had actual drinks that we all enjoyed. I had a grilled chicken sandwich for dinner which was ok nothing special. Came with pepper pickles, arugula and cheese and pesto. The pesto i didn't realize or I would have asked for it with no pesto. And I asked for no peppers but they were on there. I was too hungry to send it back and all though. Our waitress was nice and took my allergies seriously. I would recommend this place to others though. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals though. read more

Made reservations for Sat brunch and the place was relatively empty around 1:30 pm on a sunny day. Live music, welcoming host, and cozy interiors is how the interiors felt. We really went here to try their beignets - but their menu rotates every 2 weeks and their website wasn't updated with their new menu. That however did not stop us from trying other things which included their Signature Gumbo ($13 - cup). A little too seafood forward in terms of the aroma of that dish, however the cajun rice was packed with flavor. Vegan Jambalaya ($29) is what we shared as our entree, and while tasty, it felt a little too dry. They 1803 red and green hot sauces though were a flavor explosion - a must try for spice lovers! They made the waffles and chicken into a waffles and berry compote for our little one, so thanks to Tsubi for that! Tsubi and Eddie were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay here and we will certainly recommend as well as visit again! read more
We needed a brunch place for a party of 10 (including two toddlers), which is almost impossible to find in NYC. Luckily I was able to find 1803 NYC on my search. It's easily accessible close to the Chambers St stop and spacious with a fun decor and music. The service was nice. The menu was extensive with a lot of staple items as well as interesting dishes with a Cajun flare. I enjoyed my crabs benedict. My husband liked his polenta dish. Our friends liked their dishes as well which ranged from the pancakes to the fried chicken sandwich to the grilled chicken sandwich. It was a first that every one ordered something different. What up, Yelp! I'm back again with another date night review this time for 1803 NYC; a Cajun restaurant located in Tribeca. First off, I love the aesthetic of the place. Decorated with floral elements and fluer de lis fencing, it's like a small burst of NOLA in NYC. They also sometimes have a band playing live jazz Since Babe and I have been exploring all of the raw oyster options we can, I HAD to put him on to the charbroiled version! 1803 NYC does an amazing job with them too; buttery with the perfect amount of spice, they're definitely a 10/10. We also got some raw oysters, of course. Those were delicious too We then got the Brussels sprouts and the sea bass. The Brussel Sprouts were cooked to perfection with a crunchy outer texture and a pillowy inside. And the chilli sauce it comes in? Absolutely BAGING! As for the sea bass I wasn't expecting it to come fried (though I don't know what I expected after reading cornmeal crusted but ya live and learn right ). Either way, the fish was super meaty and well cooked. I also loved the lemon butter caper sauce it came with. Though I personally wasn't a big fan of the frying mixture used and think the fish would be better served grilled, I enjoyed my overall dining experience Def recommend this spot for a date night or an after work drink SN: I LOVE the sauces that come on the table. The Fresno chilli has a vibrant kick while the green sauce was a bit more mellow but packed with flavor. I also wanted to give a quick shoutout to our server, Bridgette! My friend and I came here after visiting the Jack Shainman Gallery nearby. The ambiance is very welcoming when you walk in. It makes you forget you're even in the city. I love New Orleans so I was excited to see their menu had a variety of cajun dishes to offer. I decided to go with the shrimp po boy with fries which was delicious. My friend and I had a reservation at 1803 NYC at 5:30 on a Monday evening. I read some reviews about the restaurant being very loud, but if you go around this time, it is not that crowded. Interior-wise, there is a small discrepancy between the upscale vibe their decor gives and the appearance of the floors, walls, and bathrooms. My friend enjoyed the jambalaya and noted it had great flavor. The pork in the sandwich was tender and cooked well. However, I do like some type of smoke or bbq flavor in my pulled pork, and this fell flat in that regard. The fries were cooked perfectly, so they had a nice crisp. Service was good! We had multiple check backs and quick service. Overall, I felt like the restaurant had great flavors at appropriate dinner prices. Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. We initially made a reservation because we wanted to experience the live jazz music at brunch however when we got there the only table available was in the corner with no view of the band upstairs. With the help of the staff we were able to quickly pivot and sit at the bar, and that was a better place for us anyway. We stared out with the unlimited mimosas and were able to pick what type of juice we wanted. We then ordered the brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese for the table to share. Both came out pulling hot and tasted amazing. I got the chicken and waffles and was not at all disappointed. The live jazz was great and they even gave my friend a bday shout out. 1803 NYC had some hit or miss drinks (albeit the popular Hurricane was a miss in my books) but the food was pretty good. I would've leaned closer to 3.5 stars but the live entertainment made me round up to 4. Starting with the drinks, the Hurricane is good if you like sweet drinks, but it was way too sweet for me and I also couldn't taste any alcohol. The Jean Lafitte, however, was super tasty and strong without being cloyingly sweet. As for the food, we had the jambalaya and XO noodles.the jambalaya was good but honestly I've had better. The XO noodles, however, or absolutely amazing. A generous amount of shrimp and crawfish were given and the sauce was very tasty. Wow, what a gem that we stumbled upon. I was looking for places with speakeasy's and found 1803 as they also had a happy hour during the week. The oysters were AMAZING! Would come back just for these, so much flavor. And happy that it came with bread so we could soak up the rest of the seasoning with the oil yummm. We also got to meet the owner Rafael who was so sweet to stop by and chat with us. Though the speakeasy wasn't open for the evening he showed us the space and told us the backstory of how the restaurant came to be. So nice of him, the hospitality was amazing and definitely has us wanting to come back and also try his other restaurants. The chicken sandwich was also unexpectedly amazing! The flavors together, perfect amount of spice and just made for such a feel good meal and I'm actually glad we split it because we were full. But still somehow made room for desert. Thanks to Rafael we got to try the bread pudding & beignets. Ugh the ice cream on the bread pudding stole the show it was so rich and velvety I believe it was caramel. It was my first time visiting this establishment and I will definitely return. I love food from New Orleans and this place didn't disappoint. I visited for a friend's birthday. For the appetizers, a group of us ordered the nachos, ribs, artichoke dip and bread. The ribs were the best. They were well prepared and falling off the bone. For my entree, I ordered the Jambalaya. It had shrimp, chicken and andouille sausage. It was spicy but well seasoned and delicious. For drinks, I had a Bees Knees and Voodoo Garden. The Bees Knees was good but the Voodoo Garden tasted like green juice with alcohol. The waitress was very patient and she provided us with excellent customer service. The restaurant was not very noisy for a Wednesday evening. We sang Happy Birthday to my friend and dessert was brought out. She had bread pudding and beignets. The beignets were delicious but the bread pudding I wasn't a fan. The chocolate was way too rich for the bread pudding. I came to 1803 NYC looking for some Cajun flavors and had a nice dinner overall, though a few things could have been better. The baby back ribs were definitely a highlight -- super tender and slid right off the bone. I just wish the sauce had been a little thicker so it stuck more, but the flavor was still really good. The fried chicken sandwich was tasty, and the jambalaya packed a lot of spice (so if you love spicy food, you'll enjoy it!). Just keep in mind it's not exactly a traditional jambalaya. The Caesar salad was pretty average, so I'd probably skip that next time. Service was a little hit-or-miss, but the vibe of the place is fun, and for the area, the prices are pretty reasonable.
