The entire team is knowledgeable, welcoming, and professional, and they never make you feel rushed. Dr. Lieu is incredibly patient and thorough, always taking the time to answer my questions and ensure I fully understand my vision needs. They also offer a great selection of frames, and the quality of the glasses and lenses they produce is exceptional. Before coming here, I used to go to a large wholesale retailer that offered very competitive prices. However, the glasses I received there never quite felt right--they were often uncomfortable or didn't correct my vision properly. The difference in process is clear. At District Eye Care, the measurements, analysis, and overall attention to detail are on a completely different level, and the quality of the labs they work with shows in the final product. Even as my prescription has changed slightly over the years, I've continued to use glasses I purchased from District Eye Care, while the glasses I bought from the discount retailer were usually abandoned after a couple of months because they simply didn't work well. What I initially thought was saving money turned out to be a classic case of you get what you pay for. The difference in quality, comfort, and usability is significant. I highly recommend District Eye Care and this wonderful team. I'm truly grateful that I first walked through their doors all those years ago.

The staff only needed me to sign a waiver, then they started working on my frame immediately. I waited about 10min, then they presented my frame. Almost completely straight again. Yippee! + Nice, professional service. + Simple amenities in the back, and a bench before the hallway for you to sit while you wait. - Crowded parking. + Located in the District, full of shops to get errands done while you wait. . Tip: I'm glad optometries universally adjust crooked eyeglasses frames for free.

Before I even saw the doctor, they wanted me to sign some form that was going to require me to pay them a lot extra for the exam not mentioned or quoted over the phone. I declined that on the spot. Then after being escorted into the exam room, probably a 20 minute wait before the actual doctor came it. She was attentive but rushed and I could tell she wanted to get to the next patient as quick as possible. Then she had the nerve to say she spent a lot of time with me in the one hour time slot I was in there except she was 20 minutes late into that part of the hour. Before leaving I checked my prescription and I noticed they made a mistake entering my old script instead of the one I just got. Not cool and not thorough. Now to the business part. That little game they play with a waiver to pay for an extra $80 something dollars tagged onto the exam is one thing but it gets worse. A year later I get an email reminder for and exam. But unlike any other "reminder" from any other eye doctor I have been too, they not only scheduled me for an appointment date which I never asked for, they had statement in writing saying failure to appear would be $39.00 cancellation/no-show fee. Had I not seen the email, they would have charged my credit card on file without even noticing. That's shady AF is you ask me.
