Free smoothie they were handing out

This is a very nice breakfast buffet although a small one at that. Found parking a few streets over and paid the meter. The buffet runs daily and is about $30 a person. We enjoyed the fresh squeezed juices, the waitstaff was spectacular and the ambiance was very nice. It's a fun place to take someone once in a while. Nothing tasted too bad here: Fluffy eggs 5/5 Juices 5/5 Breakfast potatoes 5/5 Poached egg dish 4/5 Toast bar 5/5 Turkey sausage 4/5 Bacon 4/5 Nothing was overly greasy but the coffee was very low quality.

Went here from brunch. It was just located downstairs in the hotel the bloody Mary was great very flavorful and the bed is tacos were delicious. Croissant was good too.

Chicken BLT with fruit as the side (instead of fries) $16.95 (6/2023)

Typical hotel restaurant with standard fare. I opted for the grilled chicken club sandwich. All their sandwiches come with fries but I asked for options and the waitress indicated a bowl of fruit could be substituted. I always pause because you never know how much, which kinds, and whether fresh or canned. To my delight, there was a nice variety of fruits and all appeared to be freshly cut! (see pic) The sandwich was pretty darn good too (but not on par with the $17 price) The only major ding was that service was agonizingly slow - roughly 20 minutes to place the order; 30+ minutes to receive the entree; and another 15 minutes After handing over credit card to receive the final bill to sign.

Scallops, apple slaw and mashed butternut squash

Well, that was disappointing.. I came here with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day thinking why not, let's try something new and honestly, I'm very disappointed. We did the "Valentine's Day dinner for two" which is $99.00. It comes with a little glass of cheap champagne, a starter, entree and dessert. I got the salad that had a little dollop of this random cheese, beets and 2 slices of an orange? Then for dinner, I did the scallop with butternut squash entree. The food itself looked unappetizing. There were only 3 scallops with crusty edges and then APPLE SLICES between those and the mashed butternut squash. It was a very odd combo, especially since 1/3 of it was sliced green apples that I could get at the grocery store. Very strange. The flavor of the butternut squash was good, but that's about it. Besides the food not being up to par and taking over a half hour to come out, the service was even below. I waited a good 15 minutes for my first drink and probably 20 minutes for my second. The place wasn't packed, so I wasn't sure why it was taking so long to receive our items. The margarita was watered down and came with 2 super thin straws that were hard to drink out of. The only dessert on the menu was a white chocolate/raspberry cake and we didn't even take part in that, we just wanted to leave at that point. Definitely won't be back, not worth the price at all

This Hidden Gem in the Hilton hotel truly represents the Hilton chain so well. The food was delicious, but the cocktails and service were outstanding! I was so impressed how all staff jump in to help customers. What a beautiful place for anyone to feel welcomed and safe

Salmon with quinoa pilaf and tomato

Located inside the Hilton Americas Hotel. Nothing to rave about at this restaurant. Service was the SLOWEST I think I've encountered in YEARS! I'm not joking. It was not even busy in here.... and we waited, and waited, and waited. I wish I could say I passed the time with beer/alcohol, but I think they were making the beer b/c that's how long we waited! The spinach and artichoke dip tasted just like taco seasoning. Certainly an unwanted surprise. I do not recommend. I ordered the crispy skin salmon as did another co worker. Mine was certainly crispy, but my coworker said his was not. I'd only eat here again if I was too tired to leave the hotel.

Roast chicken!

I know hotel restaurants are typically gimmicky but c'mon, 1600 Bar & Grill barely tries. First of all, the service was kind of slow and cooking time felt like a decade. At the same time there was barely any patrons there. Perhaps they were just giving our party extra time to socialize before filling our stomach? I finally got my roast chicken and while the mushroom sauce made it edible, it didnt last long after my sauce ran out quickly. The rest of the chicken was just super dry and unfavorable. Best portion of the meal was probably just my wife's wine.

We had breakfast here yesterday, Monday morning. The food was fresh and good. Husband had a veggie omelette with roasted potatoes and choice of toast, which was great. I got the bagel with cream cheese, which was ok. Service started off a little slow, but the place was busy. The breakfast buffet closes at 10 on weekdays. We arrived at 9:55, so that was out.

1600 is the restaurant located inside the Hilton. We dined here for lunch and dinner during CERAWeek in March. The restaurant looks dimly lit as you walk by and it is hard to tell what parts are open. There is seating as you enter and a bar and then space in the back. Since the space in the back was just for CERAWeek employees, we were only allowed to dine up front or at the bar. The IHT staff had a buffet in the back and just be sure to wear your badge so you can even get in during CERAWeek. The best lunch item is the salmon salad with quinoa. The presentation is very nice with fresh radish. I ordered the burger one day -the menu had two burgers. I ordered the simple burger yet was given the burger with cheese, pork belly and all the extras. I also ordered hot tea each day was given a cup one day and pot the next. The service was a bit inconsistent. Out of all our dining experiences, Cynthia took the best care of us. I recommended the salmon salad and it is a solid restaurant choice inside the hotel.

Arepa with carnitas and poached egg. Sublime!!! Must order this!!!
Ben C.

OMFG top five breakfast I've ever eaten!!! I suppose the key to happiness is low expectations, so when I decided to come here during a conference for breakfast and I ordered off the menu I didn't expect to be blown away. The arepa with carnitas and egg stood out to me and when I asked the waitress for her recommendation she told me it was her favorite so of course I had to get that. This dish was made by the Heavenly Father just for my palate. I love spice, I love fat, I love sweet and I love herbaceous aromatics. It has it all in spades! The corn arepa was a sweet and crispy platform to support a healthy serving of beautifully braised carnitas which has a slight citrus flavor and great fat. On top of that was pickled red onions for tang and a delightful salsa verde which seemed emulsified and velvety. On top of that was a perfectly coddled egg. The whole thing was adorned with feathery "micro cilantro" as if the crowning of a Greek Goddess at Mount Olympus and accompanied by a halved fresh jalapeño which had been grilled. This was divine provenance.

It's an interesting experience inside the Hilton Americas Hotel. For starters the restaurant opens at 6:00 am every day and closes at 10pm. It's a nice place if you don't have a vehicle. The staff is pretty upbeat and willing to service you. The decor is fascinating, dim lights for a romantic dinner or to celebrate a graduation of sort. The breakfast buffet consists of plenty of options, you can even pick out your toppings for your omelette And have the chef cook them for you. They have plenty of seating area if you would like to dine in private.

Bread and butter. Dinner 4/23/2016
Rayshawn W.

This was a decent dining experience within the Hilton America's hotel. The decor and dim lighting was comfortable. To start the meal off, fresh bread and butter was brought to the table. I really enjoyed the onion bread. To follow was a crab cake with Mexican corn and romesco sauce. I'm not sure which type of nuts were used to make the sauce but the taste of it was noticeable. The crab cake itself was meaty and very tasty. The dish could have done without the corn as it didn't add to the dish in terms of flavor but didn't take away from it either. It was just sort of there so in this case I guess it was nice to have the extra veggies. For the main course, the ancho honey roasted chicken was very moist, fall off the bone tender but lacked in flavor. Majority of the flavor came from skin and glaze that surrounded on the plate but the rest was bland. The veggies were also lacking flavor but nothing a little salt couldn't fix. The purée that both the chicken and veggies sat on top of was pretty good and sweet. The highlights of this dinner were the desserts. One was a chocolate granola cake and the other a raspberry shortcake parfait. If I had to choose one over the other, the parfait would win without a doubt. Creamy, lite and delicious raspberry filling makes this dessert a must try. 1600 Bar is worth grabbing a meal if you're not looking to venture outside of the hotel. One things for sure, desserts and drinks are their hits here. They mix a great White Russian. Dinner 4/23/2016

Lunch buffet is a great option and since it doesn't close till 2 you could almost make it a cheaper dinner
Paul S.

Great food and service. Tried the dinner buffet and was pleasantly surprised by the affordability and quality. A couple days later we had the lunch buffet and again it's affordable and excellent quality ingredients and prepared by professionals. The wait staff and hostesses are very pleasant and conversational. If you're in the hotel it's a must do and even if you're at the convention center for a day for a couple bucks more than the fast food there you can walk across the link on the 2nd floor and take the escalator down to the first floor. For Diamond members the breakfast buffet - served every day - is free.

The dining room is chic and feels very upscale but comfortable with a large open fire kitchen that was really fun to watch while dining. They were very on top of service with both our dining captain and waiter checking on us throughout the evening. For appetizers we ordered the deviled crabs, tuna tostada and wood roasted carrots. All were great but I especially loved the carrots which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. For my main course I had the chicken and dumplings, husband got the NY strip, our friends shared the whole fish and we had the cabbage and crab rice as sides. Everyone was very happy with both their main courses and the side dishes. We were too stuffed to order dessert but they sent out a s'mores inspired sunday for my birthday which was both thoughtful and sublime. Overall we were very impressed with our meal. Between me and hubs, we had a Pan de campo, an order of Gulf Oysters "casino", (4) dressed oysters, a 16 oz dry aged ribeye, a snapper entree and a side of crab fried rice. We finished almost everything except a quarter of the Pan, about a quarter of the rice, and about a third of the ribeye. All were great dishes and would definitely order again. We skipped dessert because honestly none stood out to us. He said their popular dessert is the souffle but they were sold out. Our total before gratuity was about $250 and that included one cocktail. Hubs had their "classic" old fashioned which he said was excellent! Overall, highly recommended if you don't mind the splurge or for a special occasion!

The staff were also pleasant and attentive, checking in on us and making sure we knew what dishes were new and popular. Each bite was balanced and flavorful, going well with both of the sauces. The chicken parm was also elevated in flavor, giving a home-like and rich feeling to each bite. Bottom line is that Milton's should be your go to place for just good old Italian fare but in an upscale but not stuffy atmosphere. Mark Sayre - the restaurant groups beverage director hosted the charity dinner for my wife and I and 4 other guests. We were served 9 courses family style including a couple of cold plates, a couple of salads, a couple of pastas and a couple of entrees along with a dessert. Everything was fantastic and Mark did a great job of hosting and explaining the wine pairings. The best of the apps was the Sicilian Tar tar. Tuna, scallop and salmon perfectly marinated on crostinis. The Hearts of Palm Salad was excellent, and they are definitely sharable, probably made for 3 - 4 guests to share. Of the two pastas the Cresta De Gallo stood out the most, but the Bolognese was also virtually perfect. Of the two entrees we enjoyed the Chicken Piccata slightly more than the Hanger Steak. On our second visit, Ryan was our server. He had been our server at Underbelly, One Fifth and Georgia James in the past and remembered us immediately and was a wonderful host for the meal. This time the table enjoyed the Chargrilled Oysters and the Parsley Salad to start. We also sampled 4 pastas - The Cresta De Gallo again, the Chitarra with Scallops and Uni, the Lumache with Vodka Sauce and the Sourdough Tagliatelle. All were fantastic. My personal favorite was the Chitarra. In the end we finished off all 4 so no leftovers. We then shared the Chicken Piccata as our only entree. This dish is so good. Juicy Chicken, flavorful sauce, and the Sourdough Tagliatelle was the perfect accompaniment. We also enjoyed two desserts - The Budino (which is more like a chocolate tort than a pudding) and the Tiramisu. Both wonderful. If Milton's wasn't over an hour from our house, it would become a regular on the rotation. But it is definitely good enough to warrant many return visits.

He ended up being one of the best aspects of our experience that evening. Our waitress wasn't nearly as good. We started by asking for ice in the water from the waitress since they just give you room temp water. After 10 mins of seeing her serve other tables and ignoring our request, we then figured the water boy would make it happen...and sure enough he did. We then ordered the grilled oysters, which are very lightly cooked, almost seemingly steamed more than anything, but they were very good regardless of the cooking method with the sauces and garnishes and pickle juice added. Next up was ordering the entrees. The menu here is a little strange with numerous vegan choices with strange titles and only a few items with protein. To top it off, there are not many choices period. The waitress explained that the left side is basically the apps, and the right side is basically the entrees. I knew I wanted to try the wagyu flat iron steak which is priced pretty high here, compared to other wagyu flat irons I've had at other restaurants across the US. We couldn't really decide on a 2nd main dish then the waitress mentioned the off the menu special which was a scallop pasta so we picked that thinking it sounded delicious. The entrees come out about 15 mins later, and we take our first bites and we both thought, oh no, if we share the other person across from me isn't going to like this dish because it's too salty. I tried the steak first and noticed the sauce being extra salty, then I tried the pasta and the pasta was way worse, but the scallops didn't seem to be affected. We immediately told the waitress the next time she stopped by....and she just said okay, and walked away. I figured she would go get the manager....but nope...she just kept on serving other tables. At this point we thought to ourselves only the oyster app was decent.....and no reason to look at the dessert menu since we had already spent over $100 on food we could hardly eat. Sure enough, the waitress stops by a 2nd time and asks if we'd like to see the dessert menu. I couldn't leave fast enough and told her we'll skip. Needless to say we both left hungry as the portions were not only not edible, but also fairly small. The water boy also stopped by and offered to turn on the heater if we get cold. Boy, I wish he was our waiter instead. For a supposedly Michelin-starred restaurant, I feel they really got this one wrong.
