They've been open for a while under this new name, and I've been here three or four times. Sad to say, the buzz has worn off, the staffing levels have fallen and the commitment has faded. If it's a slow night you might survive. If it's busy, forget it. Food quality is OK, but is often overpriced. However it will be slow and may be cold by the time you get it. The servers are harried; the management is either indifferent or rude. Denial ain't just a river in Egypt. My last, and I do mean *last*, visit was on Christmas Eve. I made reservations for 6:30 and was on time. We were a group of eight. Several tables were still open and several more tables nearby were finishing up. I couldn't see what was going in the the other dining rooms. We were seated promptly but got little other attention. The hostess had given us the menus. After ten minutes they took the "water order". This should have been a hint. They were trying to string us along. Other tables were seated, and the other waiter was attending to them. They got bread, not us. They got drink orders... After 40 minutes we got a drink order in. Every server visit seemed like a major effort. Eventually we were asked for our dinner orders. No food, salad, appetizers or anything else arrived for 1.5 hrs. During this period I went to speak with the hostess. I think she was used to this. She claimed she could do nothing to improve the service. I'd have to speak to the owner. An hour later and still no manager I asked again. He was working in the kitchen trying to get food out and couldn't attend to our problem. Ultimately all the tables around us emptied out, even the ones seated much later than ours. I believe now they were short-staffed and decided to triage their situation. They can afford this because of the high food and drink prices and in our case, a mandatory 20% service charge. I wouldn't have stiffed the server in any case, but we didn't get a 20% level of service. Reading other reviews, this apparently happens a lot. There are much better restaurants in the area. I don't expect this place to last much longer. read more

Should have listened to other reviewers. For the price we payed we could have gone to Etsy and had a better meal. I know Covid has altered the way businesses run but the issues I had with this restaurant has nothing to do with it - I gave many "passes" for related issues... Food was ok, nothing to rush back for (I'll give a pass bc of COVID) Drinks weren't great and my last one I could barely drink - it was a random mix of two drinks from the menu. Here is my real issue - Right after bringing the check the waitress asked if we wanted to do a shot and said she'd do one with us. We were out for a girls dinner and were having fun. So yes let's do a shot! She then brought a second check for our shots...which I thought was a little crappy since she suggested them and I kind of thought they were on the house. We spent over $650 on the bill (we were 7 women - note: the food is expensive) ... I didn't say anything bc I know restaurants have it tough and are trying/need to make money BUT the kicker is she also charged us for HER shot. What the what?!! Yep. You read it right. She charged us for her shot that she asked our table do. Granted it only added a dollar and change to each of our bills but not cool. We wouldn't have done the shots if she hadn't asked... So hey if you want to try it - go for it but be sure to skip the shot at the end! read more

Went for dinner with my wife and some friends who live in the area. I have been to the best steakhouses in New York and I have to say this is on of the best steakhouse and restaurant I have ever been to. The location is quaint, the restaurant inside is warm and romantic. It makes you feel like you are on vacation far away. Our friends come here often and the owner came by to say hi and introduced himself to us. This is old school hospitality at its finest. I have not seen an owner come by and check on things for many years. I would definitely recommend for couples, family dinners and for a fun night out with friends. After dinner we hung by the bar which is really fun, the bartender made sure that we had a great time. We will be back! read more

Had Thanksgiving dinner at this restaurant. Staff was extremely welcoming, atmosphere just right (elegant but not stuffy), service was excellent and food was delicious. A variety of dishes were ordered including diver scallops, salmon, steak and turkey. All were well prepared and tasty. We were really comfortable and satisfied. We went here again last night and had a truly wonderful experience. The staff were all extremely friendly, service was top notch. The food was delicious. I went here while visiting my family last summer and it made such an impression on me I had to check in about it. The most incredible menu and incredible homemade pasta and mouth watering appetizers like calamari. The service was excellent and friendly. The bartender is an amazing mixologist, the bar menu includes a gin fizz. Even the outside of this upscale restaurant is pleasant and worth a short walk if the weather is good. One of my fondest vacation memories. read more

Last night, as a last minute dinner decision, Darren Clark and I and another couple changed our plans and went to 103 Prime. Having not heard / read a ton about it, the menu looked good, pretty typical "steak house" fare and as consummate foodies we don't usually choose a steak house as we are looking for something more interesting. We had an amazing dinner and are only disappointed we haven't eaten there before! The place was PACKED and they were still seating tables well after 9:30pm. It was loud but it was bc there was a rowdy table next to us, so glad when they left lol. The service was slow but they were slammed and we weren't in a hurry so it didn't matter. Our server Adrienne (I think) was awesome. But the food! And the cocktails! I had scallops with Brussels sprouts and mushrooms - outstanding. Darren Clark had short ribs which he said were the best he has ever had. Our friends shared a porterhouse that was presented beautifully and was cooked to perfection. And don't get me started about the salted peanut butter mousse. Long story short, give it a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

I live within 0.5 miles of 103 Prime, yet this was the first time I ventured in. I am always cautious about new expensive restaurants as many of them fail in this area. I was joyfully surprised to find that 103 Prime was worth the price. The dishes all came out fresh and beautiful, my filet with the gorgonzola gnocci side standing out from the rest. Our waitress was gorgeous and attentive. Well worth the 5 stars. read more

Stumbled upon this restaurant when in Park Ridge for a wedding a few weeks ago and was very happy to find it! The service was great and the food was fantastic. Super fresh and super tasty. I had a fish special and my boyfriend had a special pork chop. Our server was amazing, super friendly and attentive. Nice wine selection and great bread basket. The atmosphere was classy and romantic and the space did not feel cramped at all. Would definitely go again if I was in the area. read more

Wish I could give it less than 1 Star I would . First I would order the drinks in the car because it takes forever to get one . One app cold , one not including what it stated on the menu and the other cooked horribly .. then meals come steak cooked wrong and instead of just correcting the issue the manager brings a candle out to prove customer wrong . I have never witnessed anything like this , he made my friend feel so uncomfortable and foolish. Even after correcting their multiple mistakes thee bill was 733 dollars for the 6 of us. We are a group that has all worked in restaurant industry two of which were chefs and don't mind paying for a great meal. This food is subpar (at best) and a knock off of restaurants in the area. Went here tonight on a Saturday night. The service was horrible. The restaurant was nice, but it went down hill the minute we arrived. We ordered our first round of drinks which never came so the first round was on the house.The first half of the night the Waiter tried to be accommodating but in the end wasn't. The staff didn't have overall knowledge of the meal being presented and when asked to speak to a manager we were told Jerry left and his mom came out to talk with us. She was defensive and didn't compensate a single thing for this meal, in fact she was obnoxious. Shame on this restaurant for not owning it and over booking. read more

I had a disappointing experience here on Mother's Day 2019. The service was very slow and they forgot someone's appetizer but I didn't mind so much about that because we were just enjoying each other's company while we waited. However, I ordered the chicken parm and I cut into one side and took a bite and it was very slimy and a weird texture between my teeth which led me to believe it was under cooked. The other side was better and two other people at the table had chicken that was a better texture, so I was worried about salmonella and told the waiter I think it's under cooked. I had cut the chicken up into many piecing at that point trying to examine the situation. So he takes the chicken and I wait for about 15 mins, expecting that they were making a new chicken parm for me. Instead he returns with the same cut up chicken on a new plate missing half the sauce and cheese. I'm not sure if they put it in the oven or what. It was not very hot. Honestly it didn't seem like they did anything to it at all. It still had the same problem. It's a cheap piece of fried chicken. Why would you not spend the 15 mins to prepare a fresh one if the customer had an issue with it? I'm not sure if it was a weird piece of chicken or it was under cooked but I didn't eat it. The cheapness and lack of effort at this restaurant is astounding. read more

Just left from an amazing meal at 103 Prime! Our waitress Tyler couldn't have been more attentive and was always there just as we needed something. We started with the burrata and fig special, which was very tasty and fresh. We were happy with the generous portion size and it was plenty to split amongst two people. My main scallop dish was one of the best I've ever had. The flavors blended perfectly and all the vegetables and sauces were well balanced. Throughout the night, the manager checked in with us to see how the meal was going, which was a very nice touch. Will definitely be returning! read more

Was there last night after being there already a couple times, but most likely the last time for a meal. After spending $127 I walked out of there hungry, which shouldn't happen for that amount of money. The food was well presented and very good but not filling very overpriced. We had the squid appetizer, beet salad (both shared) and my main was the seafood mix which was really ??? Two large slabs of bread (which took up 1/2 the plate)and minimal amount of clams very small calamari 2 shrimp covered a really good sauce for ($34 for the main) **The $127 was mostly for food as the waiter NEVER asked us for another round after serving us our 1st We ended up having to go to their great bar area for 2nd after our meal had finished.... No real excuse regarding the service as the place was not busy at all, a lot tables available. Again I'll be back for drinks and light food in the bar but not for a sit down dinner read more

Just had a wonderful anniversary dinner here. Food was delicious! Prime steaks were perfectly done! the highlights of our meals, though, had to be the stracciatella soup (amazing!) and the vanilla cinnamon zepole served fresh and hot in a paper bag along side raspberry sauce for dipping, heaven on a plate! Just had lunch there and all I can say is FANTASTIC! We were greeted and severed with smiles by Jill, she was absolutely amazing. We started with the grilled Portuguese octopus, tender and seasoned perfectly. Next course was a dozen little neck clams on the half shell, super fresh and served with all the sides. For the main I personally had the veal Milanese, it was just so spot on I loved it. We then finished off with a Napoleon filled with cannoli filler, UNBELIEVABLE! Can't wait to return for dinner! Just had lunch but if it is anything like dinner it is top notch. We came for a biz lunch, but ended up being a lunch w a dinner meal. 5 apps and 5 sides with dinner type entrees. I had a pork chop which was excellent and we had 5 diff apps which were all great. The sides were really good, my fav was the gnocchi, but i am bias. We did not drink so can not comment on wine list, and since lunch, and on a great note no valet parking ( which sucks and is not necessary for a place like this with a huge parking lot). Our waitress was attentive but not pushy, and the food was prepared, presented,and served as it should be for this neck of the woods. Below average food. Risotto is just a rice with peas and lobster my daughter did not even touched. Wedge salad just a random blue cheese sause paired over with chewy bacon bits stick to each other. I came here on a Saturday night with a friend. We were seated at a very long awkward table for 2 people and asked to be moved to one of the other open tables. The hostess informed us that those other tables were reserved for parties of 4. As we continued through our meal, multiple parties of 2 were sat at those tables. We went back up to the hostess and she simply dismissed the complaint. Besides the rude hostess, my steak was dry and barely warm. Just had a delicious meal with great service at 103 Prime. The Shrimp Scampi was served over fried squash which was different and yummy. Stand outs are the Short Ribs and the Pasta Bolognese. The POM martinis were absolutely delicious and Felicia the server went above and beyond to make sure we knew the calamari was enough for the table and split our second drink in two glasses for us. I don't believe that you should judge a restaurant on one visit so we decided to go back for a second time after our first visit had been less than overwhelming. That was a mistake. The second time was worse than the first. The service was underwhelming and the food took forever to arrive. Once it did we found the food to be very salty and the steaks had to be returned because they were not cooked correctly. Bergen County does not have a lot of good upscale restaurants and this place certainly will not help that situation. I should have guessed that people are realizing this place does not deserve to be in the fine dinning category when on a Saturday night there were lots of empty tables. read more

Fantastic meal!! The servers were very professional and knowledgeable about the menu! Drinks were yummy! We ordered the fresh lobster cocktail which was half a lobster, collossal crabmeat and shrimp! Dinner reservations for four for New Year's Eve. Cocktails in the bar good atmosphere friendly bartender though definitely overmatched for the crowd that was there. Good start to the evening. Good selection of appetizers and main courses although disappointed that filet mignon was not as a stand-alone dish on the menu had to be ordered as part of surf and turf. Waiter was friendly but had trouble getting back to the table but every 15 minutes. Four steaks were ordered and totally mixed up how we wanted the steaks prepared. The surf and turf's which were asked to be medium actually came out rare and the strip steaks that were asked to medium rare came out medium to well done. Not sure if it was the waiter who mixed up or the cook who blew it. In either case not to take away from the evening we switched steaks with our spouses. Also failed to bring a baked potato. The waiter said it would be out in three minutes and it actually showed up 15 minutes later when we were nearly done with our steaks. The cuts of meat were good it's just a shame that they totally missed what was ordered. Flowers Pinot Noir is a very good bottle of wine but like most on the menu is a bit pricey. Entertainment for the evening was totally unexpected but a very good addition to the ambience. Singer did a very good job. Given we are residents of Park Ridge and it was our first time there we will certainly give 103 prime another shot. That said I can only give it a below average rating for this visit. read more
