    Cobb salad and grandma slice
    Taylor M.

10/10 Grandma Slice & Cobb Salad Combo Crecco's Café is a hidden gem that delivers big on flavor without breaking the bank. I stopped in for a solo lunch date and ordered the Grandma slice with pepperoni and a drizzle of hot honey--absolutely divine. Crispy crust, balanced sweetness from the honey, and just the right amount of heat. Easy 10/10. I paired it with their Cobb salad, which I customized by swapping in mozzarella for blue cheese, adding red onions and dried cranberries, and removing olives. Tossed in a white balsamic vinaigrette--it was fresh, flavorful, and another 10/10. Service was warm and attentive. While there's no dramatic view, they do open up the veranda which makes for a lovely al fresco vibe, especially on a breezy day. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a quiet solo meal or gather with girlfriends over wine (as I saw one chic group doing!). Portions are generous and prices are fair--my entire meal including a Fresca came to about $20. And with a massive menu, there's no doubt I'll be back to try more. Bonus: they offer delivery too, which is tempting now that I've had a taste! Highly recommend for a casual bite with a touch of charm.

Came with my friend for dinner. Tried to call to see how long the wait would be but the phone was constantly busy. We came and waited maybe 15 minutes for a table- the waitress kept apologizing and said the dinner rush came all at once and she'd seat us shortly. Once seated- we were immediately asked what we wanted to drink. The menu is quite large but looking around at other customers plates I knew I had to get an entree not just a sandwich or wrap. I ordered the chicken fresco and my friend had the chicken parm dinner. Both were absolutely cooked to perfection. I saw a few people with vodka sauce dishes that I'm going to have to try next time because they looked so yummy. As the rest of the night went on, and there were less people in the restaurant, the ambience was very nice. I will definitely be back, but probably not during peak eating hours.

Food is so good but double check your pick up order because the past 2/3 times we've ordered they forgot something.

Being that it was on a Thursday barely anybody was inside and that was fine with me. I seen they had a pear drink and it was great and I had 2 of them. It came on top of creamy polenta and they were delicious. For dessert I had I had to the pb&j cannolis. That's the name reason I wanted to try this restaurant. Upon arrival at Osteria Crescendo to celebrate my milestone birthday as first-timers, my partner and I were greeted by the staff. The space was split in two: one side is a bar, and the other is its pristine dining room filled with details such as white marble tabletops and glasses reminiscent of Italian craftsmanship. We were led to a table by the window with a wide range of music playing, evoking a vibe that was posh and modern yet still had its callbacks to the old country. Their menu adopts a more traditional Italian approach with antipasti, primi, secondi, per la tavola ("for the table," for sharing), and dolci. Sampling cocktails and nibbling from their bar menu takes us back to Venice, which, inspired by the Italian tradition of cicchetti (snacks), offered small plates, such as fried calamari and house-cured salumi, meant to be enjoyed with a glass of wine or a cocktail. As an appetizer to share, we opted for the Burrata. For our main meal, we decided on the Lancaster Amish Chicken and Spinach Girelle. We even saved some room for dessert and got their Apple Pie Sundae with vanilla gelato accompanied by a lit candle. Complimentary bread with oil started our meal. The food was delicious, presented well, and generous portions from a well-thought-out menu with a complete balance of flavors. Not only were the noodles freshly made in-house, but they're also perfectly cooked, wonderfully firm to the bite. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, especially our server Chanelle, who made the experience even better. We can recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal!

I was impressed how quickly they got our order ready and greatly appreciated it. We ordered a large pizza with meatballs and an order of french fries. The pizza had a good portion of sliced meatballs on it which were tasty. The crust was very good! Even though the crust and the meatballs were tasty, it wasn't overly flavorful. Could it be a plain sauce? Not sure. The french fries were the thinner kind, but cooked and salted just right. They were quite the hit with the pizza. We will return again as Pompilio's is a solid Italian option.

MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Food was solid, but had its ups and downs. ==== Complimentary bread was excellent, a little crunch to it, but soft interior. ==== Margherita Pizza was decent and the 14" medium was a nice size pie to share amongst the family, however, it surprisingly needed more flavor to it. It wasn't bad, but it tasted a bit more plain than expected. Loved the texture and thickness though as in it wasn't too thick with tons of dough, but not very thin either. ==== Chicken Marsala was also decent and solid, but, once again, surprisingly needed a bit more flavor to it. Serving size was perfect though. ==== The House Salad was actually our favorite thing that we ordered! It was super simple, but the romaine lettuce, onions and tomatoes were very fresh and the vinaigrette dressing was EXCELLENT. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = They sell slices by the entrance of the restaurant.

Then I looked up...there is a loft storage area around the ceiling area that is packed with old junk, like Christmas decorations and old lights. Dusty loads of junk. It looked like an old man's attic. The tables all looked dirty too, like they never wipe them down. I don't know how the health department hasn't shut this place down. Even the employees looked filthy. I should have walked out without my slice, because it went in the garbage anyway. I was really mad at myself for not speaking up and walking out. The slice looked disgusting as well. I got pepperoni and it was floating in oil and the pepperoni was just put on top cold. Disgusting. Not to mention it wasn't cheap! You've been warned. The dishes were pretty much standard pizza parlor fare, with nothing bad and nothing particularly outstanding. The two best dishes were the garlic knot sliders and the penne vodka. Don't know if the vodka sauce was house made, but it was quite tasty and the sliders were unique. While I'm not running back, this is certainly not a place to avoid, and I would order food from them again without hesitation. There was plenty of staff behind the counter and they were pleasant enough. The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall. I didn't take pictures cuz there are quite a few people inside. While each pasta shape has a unique cooking time, just about every package instructs one to cook the noodles until they reach the "desired consistency"/"al dente." This phrase literally translates from Italian to mean "to the tooth." It describes the texture of cooked pasta when it's tender but firm and chewy when one bites into it. Located on Center Avenue in Westwood, my colleague and I had the opportunity as first-timers at Al Dente Pasta Fresh Pasta Co. for lunch. Upon entering their casual and friendly vibe, we were greeted by the staff and had the place to ourselves in their dining area with an open kitchen. Their menu features a fantastic variety of appetizers, salads, pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, and desserts. The star of this establishment has to be the fresh homemade pasta dishes made from Caputo Semola flour imported straight from Italy, accompanying the amazing sauces, each crafted with care and creativity. We decided on their Pasta Bar--Spicy Chili Vodka Cavatelli with Chicken Cutlet and Bolognese Pappardelle. Each came with fresh focaccia bread. The food arrived, and one can taste the difference of freshness. It was absolutely delicious using the high-quality ingredients. The portion was just right as well as the price. Our server, Hunter, was friendly and accommodating. We even had a chance to make small talk with the owner; Joe connected next door at the sister location, Luciano's, for pizza and garlic knots. It's Old World charm with a modern twist, and we can't wait for a repeat performance.
