I stopped in for a solo lunch date and ordered the Grandma slice with pepperoni and a drizzle of hot honey--absolutely divine. Crispy crust, balanced sweetness from the honey, and just the right amount of heat. Easy 10/10. I paired it with their Cobb salad, which I customized by swapping in mozzarella for blue cheese, adding red onions and dried cranberries, and removing olives. Tossed in a white balsamic vinaigrette--it was fresh, flavorful, and another 10/10. Service was warm and attentive. While there's no dramatic view, they do open up the veranda which makes for a lovely al fresco vibe, especially on a breezy day. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a quiet solo meal or gather with girlfriends over wine (as I saw one chic group doing!). This was our first visit to Crecco and we will definitely be returning to sample other items on the menu! Indoor and outdoor seating with counter service ordering, but they bring the food to your table. Service was very friendly and prompt throughout the visit. We sampled: personal sized pizza with meatballs- the size was larger than we expected and the pie was covered in thick meatball slices. The meatballs were delicious and some of the best around for a pizza topping. The salads are large and meal sized or sharable. The caesar was fresh and flavorful and the Greek salad was amazing! The Penne pasta was cooked perfectly and topped with a flavorful sauce.  Looking at the food being delivered to other tables, the subs looked amazing along with the pasta dishes.  Crecco's balances the casualness of a relaxed eatery with the quality of upscale Italian food! read more

unacceptable experience. We've been loyal customers and ordered from this place many times. On October 21st, we called about an incorrect and cold order -- we ordered BBQ chicken bites and instead got chicken wings that arrived cold. When we called to get it fixed, the young woman who answered the phone was shockingly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I asked several times to speak with a manager, and instead of helping, she hung up on us multiple times. This is not how you treat paying, repeat customers. It's one thing to make a mistake with an order -- it's another to be completely disrespectful when someone calls to politely address it. We won't be ordering from here again, and I'd strongly suggest management take a hard look at who's representing their business on the phone. read more

Came with my friend for dinner. Tried to call to see how long the wait would be but the phone was constantly busy. We came and waited maybe 15 minutes for a table- the waitress kept apologizing and said the dinner rush came all at once and she'd seat us shortly. Once seated- we were immediately asked what we wanted to drink. The menu is quite large but looking around at other customers plates I knew I had to get an entree not just a sandwich or wrap. I ordered the chicken fresco and my friend had the chicken parm dinner. Both were absolutely cooked to perfection. I saw a few people with vodka sauce dishes that I'm going to have to try next time because they looked so yummy. I've had Crecco's previously, and was quite pleased with my meal. I decided to go out this past Saturday, as my spouse had a last minute engagement. My server was polite, but not terribly attentive. I ordered stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and the short rib ravioli as my main course. Do drink, I elected for a Pepsi. My drink, appetizer, and main course came out in a timely fashion. I only received a follow up after the main course and towards the end of the meal. I paced myself in drinking, as I was not sure when I'd receive a refill. For the appetizer, it was a a bittersweet experience. The mushrooms were delicious, the sauce was creamy and well seasoned, but the crabmeat stuffing was extremely disappointing. It was imitation crabmeat (Surimi). I don't necessarily have an aversion to this, but I don't believe this was disclosed in the menu. The main course was quite tasty, but felt a touch undercooked. I'd definitely order from Crecco's again, but my future patronage will be take out only. read more

We had heard that Crecco's is a great casual spot from a few people, and they were right! It is super casual about seating and thankfully had high chairs for the kiddos. You go back to the front to order. The coconut chicken skewers were a great appetizer, came with honey mustard. We gave those to our youngster with some sweet potato waffle fries. He was very happy. We've been going to Crecco's for over 5 years but after last night I will not be back. It's bad enough that you can call 40 times in a row with a busy signal but the food has become terrible as well. My wife went in person last night around 7pm to place a take out order, being that you can't get through on the phone, and what she brought home was one of the worst things I have ever gotten. What was supposed to be an eggplant parm sandwich ended up being some cold dry old tasting eggplant on a stale piece of bread with about a tablespoon of marinara sauce on it. This was one of the worst food sit down experiences I've ever had. The service could not have been worse. Start with sitting us outside and they had flies everywhere. Maybe not their fault but could clean better to help mitigate it. To start he came by and never asked if we wanted a drink- I asked him for a Diet Coke as he was walking away, didnt even look back and just yelled OK. We ordered the fried calamari and it tasted very fishy. Asked the waiter and he said the manager told him all of it will taste the same, so he will remove it from our tab. Not if we would like anything else. Next my wife and mother ordered a salad for dinner. He put the salads down at the end of the table and walked away without putting it in front of any person. I went inside to ask for new silverware to eat with and the manager tells me I can go get it myself in the front. After that the manager came out and told us the meal was free but we would have to serve ourselves the rest of the meal. I would never go back to this place. Wanted to post because of all the recent negativity just doesn't make sense from my experience. The people here were super friendly. I ordered takeout, food was ready when i got there, just some pizza but it was great! Its a cute establishment that i would definitely even sit at for lunch some time; I think they also had outdoor dining. Came in around 8:30pm with a friend and ordered our food, paid and then sat down. A couple minutes later the person at the counter came over to us to let us know that we can't eat in here and he will pack our stuff to go and that you can't sit after 8pm. It clearly says they close at 10pm and that should have been said before we ordered and paid or we would have went somewhere else. 3 stars because this is not a bad spot for Italian food but it also is not the best in the Westwood/Rivervale area or a MUST visit. The menu is good, covers all the Italian basics such as pizza, pasta, hero's etc. I ordered a shrimp parm hero and it was good but not the best. For a casual pizza restaurant/cafe, this place is really nice and modern. All the homey details (homegoods decor) give this place a relaxing vibe. Staff is really friendly and very efficient. I live down the street from the River Vale location. The other night I drove home past there, and saw that it wasn't busy- no one sitting outside and inside looked to have 2 or 3 tables. Tried two more times before giving up and going elsewhere. This is a solid casual restaurant for take out that doesn't cost a fortune. Have not dined here in person, but they are quick with getting orders ready. The food won't blow you away, but it is good if a bit on the greasy side. I'm a fan of their traditional Italian dishes like Chicken Francese; salads are also pretty good. Without too much detail something was found IN our meal that wasn't supposed to be there ...in any restaurant. I drove home trying to not throw up. When brought to management's attention we were offered a 50% discount. At this point we just wanted to leave so we let it go.
