We celebrated a birthday at this restaurant which opened just a few weeks ago. We heard good things about it. Located on the edge of Chinatown, in Lower Manhattan, it was located on the second floor of a building that replaced a Mobil Station some years back. We took an elevator up. The restaurant is spacious, especially for this location. Sparkly and brightly lit. Known mostly for its dim sum service, we were here for dinner Sunday evening. The table setting was elegantly decorated. Mirrors and chandeliers adorned the dining room, overlooking Pike Street. Service was quick and attentive, but on that Sunday evening it was not busy. We had the set menu priced at $588. Instead of the first course sashimi, it was substituted, prepared cooked geoduck with vegetabkes and bean sprouts. The braised young pigeon, (squab) was served in a broth, very different. The broth had chunks of coconuts. He silver pomfret was substituted for another fish species, that I found to be delicious. The Cantonese style lobster was very tasty, abd prepared a bit differently from what I am used to. Strangely enough, although the restaurant has been open for a few weeks, the carpet looks like it has taken a multi year beating. We all enjoyed this dining experience.

This place has been packed for dim sum since they first opened! We finally scored a table when we arrived at 11am on a weekday. There were so many people already, it's insane. The weekday crowd is mostly old people, we were like the youngest there The freshness of the dim sum depends on when the carts come to you and how long the dishes have been there. Even though the restaurant's packed, some dim sum dishes tasted like they have been in the cart for a while. I got a couple of cold dishes :( Service is pretty good for a Chinese restaurant. Bathrooms are also decent.

New Dim Sum in Manhattan! I went a few days prior to opening and again two weeks later and enjoyed the dim I ate. Both times I went early in the morning on Sunday and I didn't have a problem with getting seating with the old grannies and grandpas, nor did I have an issue with getting the dim sum I wanted. Everything was piping hot and the service was attentive. If I could complain, it's because they don't have mustard which I now have to have with my dim sum because a Yelp friend turned me on to that condiment and now I can't live without it! A few notable dishes I'd say include the Sui Mai, Fung Jao, and Har Gow. I especially enjoy the Sui Mai here because it have mushrooms in it and it's a big porky bite. The Fung Jao was a huge portion the first time I went and was noticeably less the second time though. It's a little pricey but it's shiny and new and hopefully it sticks around because there aren't too many great dim sum in Manhattan's Chinatown anymore.

Checked out 100 Feast on a Sunday morning and enjoyed it! Pros: - Very crowded, you need to get a number tag from the machine. Plenty of waiting chairs. They inform you it's usually a 30-40-minute wait, but we got a table in 20 min. Moves fast! - Large, spacious dimsum hall with modern finishes. Pretty glass ceiling adornments throughout. - Solid dimsum: Love and recommend the Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf, Beef Tripe/Offal, Beef Balls, Pan-Fried Chive Dumpling, Shrimp Red Rice Roll (I've never had this dish before, and it was amazing! A repeat order!). The elderly couple we shared the table with ordered the Ribs over Rice Roll with extra sauce, and that looked delicious. Cons: - The Shiu Mai and Deep Fried Glutinous Dumpling are good but they are better and more refined at Dimsum Palace. Can't wait to come back for the Shrimp Red Rice Roll and try their noodle dishes.

The food was decent. Very typical dim sum flavors. They had some newer things like durian pancakes, and this mochi bun. Those were fun. They also has snow pea shoot shrimp dumplings, mixed mushroom shrimp dumplings, seafood shrimp dumplings, and some a variety of other "new" things. The price point wasn't bad, we got more than the pictures captured and there was 4 of us. We were stuffed and it came out to $91 before tip, which wasn't too bad. Plus this restaurant took credit card, which is a huge plus for Chinatown. It was definitely crowded. So expect a wait on the weekends for sure.

Came with family and had a mediocre time. The dimsum was average, some of the dishes like the chicken feet, tripe and pepper beef were pretty chewy. The beef balls and siu mai were. good. We were seated at a table on the far end and it took us more than 20 mins to flag down a dim sum cart for food. We also didn't appreciate that they tried to charge us tax and told us that did not accept credit card payments (cash only) when others beside us were getting a cash discount. Later, the server also told us we undertipped and needed to tip more. I thought it was quite rude. the seating situation was also a bit cramped and people kept squeezing behind me to get to their seats. For the same price and better service + food, I recommend going to Golden Unicorn down the street or to House of Joy. The meal came out to be about $25 per person.

I've been pretty excited to try this place out since seeing some posts online. We came by on a Saturday morning and it was packed with Chinese (elderly) people, which felt like a good sign. While hectic like a typical dim sum restaurant, the hostess at the front was pretty kind and helpful. However, after getting seated, the service was lacklustre - there weren't many carts going around, the ones that did wouldn't always stop by the table, and we ended up needing to resort to physically walking up to the carts ourselves and bringing food back to our own table. We saw many other tables doing the same, so unfortunately this wasn't an individual experience just based on the position of our table. After manually grabbing most of the dishes we wanted to try, we also placed an order for a couple other dishes directly with a waitress, who said she'd send that to the kitchen. After waiting about 10 minutes, she came by and apologized because she had forgotten to send in the order - not ideal, but during the hectic weekend rush hour, it was understandable and we appreciated her confirming she'd send it ASAP. After another 15 minutes of waiting, she said she'd check with the kitchen on what was taking so long. It wasn't until a second check in with the kitchen again 10 minutes after that, that she told us the kitchen didn't have our items available. At that point, we were pretty frustrated. Overall, the food was good - not better than the other plethora of dim sum options in the area, but also nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the frustrating service experience with the carts and then waiting 30+ minutes for food that never came, I can't recommend.

Pretty good for a new player in the dim sum restaurants. It gets packed early so come early!!

Came with a group of childhood NY Chinatown friends- was excited to try a new dim sum place. Space was pretty and fancy- but carpet in a dim sum place??-good luck keeping that clean! The dim sum was a major disappointment. The rice noodles tasted reheated and the color was not pearly translucent white but an unappetizing gray. The tripe was cut too coarsely and was too chewy. Sticky rice was compressed and dry and also tasted like yesterday's leftovers. Servers fast but couldn't keep up with clearing the tables. There are so many better dim sum places in Chinatown. Come here if you just want nice decor.

Eh is all I can say. Manhattan isn't strong in the dim sum game compared to queens and Brooklyn already and this place just proves Manhattan has an inferior product. Though the space is nicely decorated, the food itself isn't tasty or seasoned well. I didn't find the chicken feet to be tender and it was just lacking flavor all around. There wasn't much variety in the dim sum and it was the same 3 carts that were rotating around the restaurant with the food looking sad and not replenished often. Though it was fairly busy on a weekday I'm not sure why they didn't have more to try. The tea was also very weak and the space was cold. There is better dim sum than this in Manhattan. I don't think I'll be back.

This restaurant opened up 2 months ago so decided to come by to try out the food. Everything that we had from the dimsum carts were hot and delicious. Ladies pushing the carts were very nice as well. Service was very good, plates changed, teas refilled even though the place was packed. Dishes not from the carts were very generous in size and was delicious as well. Will definitely come back again.

    No food 2+ hours in

Terrible! They have terrible service. 2+ hours for food is absolutely ridiculous. Will not be a returning customer and will not be recommending this place. Update: only received half of orders. This restaurant stops cooking early dinner

I was really disappointed with our experience, especially since we had a reservation at around 5:40 PM and the place looks so high-end. Even though it was packed, they seated us anyway, but we ended up at a makeshift table with plastic chairs and no lazy susan, which felt completely out of place. To make the matters worse, the service was non-existent, the tablecloth was stained, the glasses looked like they'd only been rinsed, and we waited over an hour just to get our food and drinks. What really bothered me was that even after the rush died down and plenty of better tables opened up, the staff still wouldn't move us. It's a shame because the decor shows a luxury experience that the service and cleanliness just didn't promise. P.s the waiter elbowed me in the head and I didn't receive any form of apology.

Dish highlights include the shrimp and chive dumplings, beef chow fun, and my personal favorite, the stuffed eggplant. Other items were a little bland, like the turnip cakes and har gow, and the pan fried shrimp noodles were awkwardly plated and made them difficult to eat. I also wish they had rice noodle rolls, which I didnt see on the menu. Really what pushed it to 5 stars to me was the service. We came as a huge group of 20, with a baby and stroller in tow, and they handled everything without so much as a grimace, just an outpouring of helpfulness. They sat half our group at a round table and the other half at a rectangular long table and also helped us navigate dietary restrictions, asking specifically who in the group had those restrictions. The menu is labeled too, so you know which items are vegetarian or gluten free. At one point our helpful server noticed we hadn't really touched that awkwardly plated noodle dish and offered to replace it with another. We didn't take him up on that as I'd find that wasteful but I thought that was so attentive and earned them a generous tip. The space is nice looking, and the food came out very quickly. We also didn't break the bank, even with plenty of drink orders. Dao's is an easy recommendation, especially when you factor in how seamlessly they handled our chaos.

I was browsing for places with scallion pancakes and I came across this restaurant. I saw they had a scallion pancake beef rook which I'd never seen before. It was fried and crispy on the inside with tender beef on the inside, that was slightly savory slightly sweet. I had the roll on its own, which made for a light meal, but it can also be enjoyed as a large snack. It was a little greasy, which can be expected, but not sure if I'd get it again. I did think it was innovative though. The most impressive thing about the restaurant was actually the space. I came to pick up my food and was surprised to see this beautiful place. The outside is unassuming and nothing special but inside has the aesthetic of an old Shanghai restaurant. It's ornate and slightly quirky. It's also really big, bigger than I expected. Some of the most memorable dishes were the Mapo Tofu ($13.99), Hutaoli Roast Chicken ($43 for whole), Spicy Pot Potato ($19), Roasted Green Beans ($22), etc. All of the food is good, but definitely pricey. While the food also came out quickly, our drinks came out towards the end of our meal. It's a good spot for big parties as it never got too busy even on a Saturday night.
