Holy heck. I just paid $57 pre-tip for a very basic gel mani/pedi w/a callous treatment but with no: scrubs, fancy lotions, heated, extra massage, and only 1/3 leg massage due to pants. I usually get the fancy ones at other places and still I've never paid this much. Im in about sticker shock. I liked my techs but nope I can't ever come back. Highway robbery. Also, she cut extra short and it hurts ten minutes later. Dang. I really needed this and it was not a good experience at all. I rarely wrote reviews but yall gotta know how much you're going to pay. Seriously price gouging with a handwritten note that says prices have gone up due to covid but my god this is insanely high for basic. The 2 ladies that worked on my mani and pedi have different levels of enthusiasm. The one who did my mani gave me an impression that she's annoyed while the one who did my pedi was enthusiastic and went above and beyond. I wish I asked for their names. Anyhow, I gave a 4 cause of the level of enthusiasm and the ingrown removal was a bit painful a couple of days after I went. But I will choose this place any day because of the pricing, accommodation and they don't try to upsell you. They do what you asked for. Ive been coming here for years for very simple nails which is okay with me but today was a horrible experience they didn't do anything I wanted I went specifically for a look for my toe nails and I kept repeating myself over and again over again what I wanted and the lady got mad at me instead because "I didn't tell her what I wanted" but I even told the owner right when I arrived what I wanted I wasted 88$ for no reason I didn't give a tip because the lady who did my toe nails didn't listen to me and wanted to do them her own way when im obviously paying for what I want. I wish I could give this place zero stars. I'm not the one to leave a bad yelp review but the work here that was done was not up to par. I feel really bad for those who get their nails done here and receive the poor workmanship. As I was getting my nails done I wanted to tell the lady to stop and just take it off because i could tell how bad of a job she was doing. The gel was so sloppy getting all over my nails. I tried to tell the lady and she could not understand me. But the pedicure lady I believe could. I knew all my gel would start peeling up... gel should last 1.5-2 weeks and it's been 3 days. After I asked for the lady to see how sloppy it was she starting cutting at and filing down the gel which then caused two of my fingers to bleed. Please save yourself if you don't want to endure a bad nail job and waste your money. On top of this...it was my birthday. This is the worst place I've EVER had my nails done at!!!!!!!!!!!! Save your money. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!! I went in to get a full set french manicure, and its so bad! He didn't push back my cuticles or even clip or clean up my cuticles , he didn't even touch them. He smeared my old nail polish all over my nails and in the crevices, you can see them, it literally looks like I just ate hot cheetos or I'm bleeding around them and its all over the underneath of them. There's super glue all around my cuticles. And the tips aren't all the way painted and are bumpy and they're lopsided and uneven. He also didn't let me wash my hands once to soften them! My thumb hurts because he super glued my skin to the nail. Horrible! Horrible, Horrible job! I'm so bummed. Never ever again! I have to go get them fixed somewhere else and pay double now! Sucks! I have been here a few times and had a bad experience each time. I decided to give it a try one last time the gel manicure i got bubbled and they fixed it but again it bubbled. my review is for TUESDAY NOVEMBER 20 2018 I arrived as a "walk in" spur of the moment since Top Nails is a literal five minute walk from my new apartment & i really needed a new pedicure. I was greeted by a nice man & informed him I wanted a gel pedicure & was seated in a spa chair right away. I didn't look through their colors because I already knew I simply wanted white. I'd say I waited about 15 minutes which is completely fine because everyone was finishing up other work and i was occupied comfortably on my cellphone. A nice woman started up the water, took out her supplies, we discussed a bit of what I wanted and she began. I am always so nervous at new places for toe nail cutting but she really took her time( like really because it took a little while for both feet) . I know I paid about 5$ extra for callous remover" which is also fine because this is like most places. After she did the gel on my toes she rubbed lotion on my feet, then I was actually pleasently surprised when she brought out some hot stones to use on my legs & feet with the massage. That was great I just wish the massage lasted longer :) So my honest over all review on this $28 gel pedicure ($33 w/extra service) is that I was extremely worried due to other reviews I've read but I myself had a good experience & 5 days later the gel still looks really nice& neat on my toes and i will be returning here thank you Top Nails. read more

I stumbled upon this spot while waiting to turn into the shopping center to pick up my shoes from the shoe repair shop.. 1 Top Nails are located off of Harbor within the same shopping center as Kmart. Mani/Pedi's are $18 and some change. There are no cool spa pedicure chairs here. BUMMER.. They use buckets.. (beauty school style). Buckets that are covered with a large plastic bag.. It brought back memories of cosmetology school.. I was hoping to be in and out... Didn't happen... I had to remind the gal that was doing the manicure that I had an appointment at 12:15.. She stopped to have a conversation with her girls several times.. Hey, I talk too.. A lot but I don't pause in the middle of a haircut to chat it up with another stylist. This location is in the same plaza as a store that I own. I have taken my girlfriend here for both manicure and pedicure. She has been happy with their work every time we come. She normally asks for Jennifer at this location. The prices are reasonable and the staff does a good job to make you feel pampered. She loves turning on the back massage chair while she is getting her nails done. As the guy waiting for his girl I had a TV to watch and chatted with Donle one of their staff who turned out to be a fun guy to chat with. My advice is to call before coming down because on occasion they get really busy and it is good to make sure they can fit you in. read more

Some are too pointy on the edges which made me scratch my self pretty badly. One nail is already messed up. The paint peeled off! I asked for a light pink and when they put the color on it was clear and when I asked them to change it they said it would cost me. I really only came here because it's walking distance from where I live, but I ended up being really pleased with my pedicure. Only $15 and they must have upgraded since the review from 2009 because they do have the spa chairs. It's no frills, no ambiance, and a small place, but for $15, I don't care. I came at 5pm on a Saturday and the place was packed. I didn't have to wait, but I grabbed the last available spa chair and 3 other women came in while I was there. I needed a bit of clean-up since I hadn't had a pedicure in 4 months and my toenails were a little messed up from long distance running.
