One of my fav coffee shops in the area, and it's always a place I recommend when friends come visit Mountain View and ask for coffee shop recommendations! It's a small cafe but there's still a good amount of seating, especially on a non-busy day, for a casual conversation, a work sesh (not sure if there are outlets though), or just to people watch! If you order for here, they will give it to you in a cute cup, usually with latte art if you order a latte. Otherwise, if you order it to go, it'll come in a to-go cup, usually without any latte art if ordering a latte. The beans they use are quite good for their coffee based drinks, and you can even purchase some of them. Apart from the classic coffee drinks, if you're looking to try one of the non-caffeinated lattes, I really recommend the ube latte. It does not taste artificial, and the ube taste is balanced well with the milk. The runner up for non-caffeinated lattes would be the dirty chai latte. My friend who used to work at a chai shop has even said that this is one of the best chai lattes he's had, which is a big compliment! The ratio of milk to chai is perfect, and the milk is frothed perfectly. You can ask for oat milk substitution, but it will cost an extra $0.75. Lastly, they have some cute merch and pastries! I haven't actually had any of the pastries but they always look so good. I believe they outsource them from a local bakery in the area. As for the merch, I've gotten a cute small coffee cup for a friend's birthday present before! It's definitely a high in price but makes a good gift for a coffee lover. read more

Such a cute study/coffee spot in a beautiful area of mountain view. Lots of parking along the street and nice place to walk around. We got two food items and the latte flight since it was our first time here and wanted to get a taste of everything. There's lots of different options a little more than your average cafe but still having the classics. The staff were really nice and gave the spot a welcoming, cozy vibe. Mini Latte Flight ($15) - 10/10 the single latte and seasonal latte were my boyfriend's favorites because it has a rich coffee taste without the extra sweetness but I loved the quality of the matcha and semi-sweetness of the ube so it ended up being perfect for the both of us lol. Came here during our quick visit to SF in search of some good coffee. The Ube Latte caught my eye because I am a huge ube fan. Really cute inside, clean and very popular in the morning! Not too many places to sit, more of a grab and go kind of place. Unfortunately, the employee who was ringing us up was very blunt & short with us. My husband was interested in buying some beans and he asked a few questions and she just pointed to the shelf and said all of our beans are located there. We didn't want to hold up the line, so we proceeded to the shelf, grabbed a bag and ordered our drinks. We were a bit surprised when we were rang up and it was $30, but it is what it is! We bought the coffee beans and proceeded to wait for our drinks. I ordered a Ube latte with espresso shot & my husband ordered a regular latte. Drinks were good. First visit to 1 Oz. Coffee this morning. We made a pit stop on our drive to SF. I figured mobile ordering would save us time but I didn't realize we had to actually check in with someone there before they actually started making your drink. Not much of a time saver if you're in a rush though. Overall, the staff were friendly and the coffee was on point. We ordered the ube latte and the honey and cinnamon latte. Group came in the afternoon on a Saturday and the place was decently busy! Parking was pretty easy with a lot around the back and street spots. There were limited interior and exterior seating. 1 large bench great for groups and outlets/wifi to study. 8/10 Ube Latte $5.75 - light ube flavor and would say about 25% sweetness so I added 1 pack of raw sugar for personal preference. Latte art was on point with presentation. Overall was warm, creamy, and light. Pricy end for a latte! 7/10 Honey Cinnamon Latte $6.40 - nothing special about this drink. Felt kind of baited lol. Returned back to this small little coffee shop in DT Castro. They have a unique twist to their drinks and pastries ( which they get them from a local bake shop in sf) I think they do or used to get some from third culture bakery- a known place for mochi donuts/muffins. Their coffees are always really flavorful and deeply made. I liked the pastries - everything was super tasty and flavorful. Anything is better than just a basic croissant pastry! They have flavors such as Ube, guava, pistachio, ect. You pay for the quality and aesthetic here. Personally I think it's worth it to treat yourself here every once in a while! read more

Super cute coffee shop right in the heart of downtown Mountain View. My favorite thing about this place is the staff and service. They're all so friendly, and they even have weekly latte art demos where one of the workers will show you how to make latte art! They keep things up to date on their ig account and often share their current promos and latest drink specials. I got their winter special, the cookie butter cappuccino and it was extremely delicious. It had cookie butter crumbles and rich cookie butter sauce layered in with the oat milk and espresso. When first walking in, it seems to lack in ambiance as the spaces for sitting are a bit awkward with metal chairs and a very small space. However, after ordering my coffee (I asked about the purple one I had seen on another review; it's Ube and I had them add a shot of espresso), I found a seat against the wall that actually gave me a good view of the outside on Castro seat, but also allowed me to relax, read and enjoy my coffee. The background of music has a nice feel to it and is at a good level to still be able to concentrate on work or pleasure. I was able to park right outside so it was very convenient. The thing that surprised me the most is how busy it got with a line even. While this is the first time I had even noticed this coffee spot, it seems to be quite popular. I chose not to order any food as nothing seemed appealing to me, but I did see other's eating and enjoying the limited menu of pastries and breads with toppings. I really enjoyed my coffee, so much that I ordered a second. The reason for the 4 stars is due to the seating availability and lack of any privacy(I was able to hear a whole conversation between 2 people at the table near me) so I wouldn't really want to meet up for a conversation with anyone and the chairs are very uncomfortable to sit for any length of time. I walked up to grab it and noticed the cool latte art. It's such a nice detail to see. I saw the lids, straws, napkins off to the side. While I put a lid on my drink I asked the lady who took my order and made my drink what the popular drinks were and she gave me several options to try at my next visit. With a delicious coffee cup in hand and a croissant I was on my way. The Cinnamon Honey Latte had a strong cinnamon flavor but not to the point it was overpowering. The honey served as a natural sweetener providing it a balanced sweetness level. The drink was hot but drinkable. I enjoyed it. The croissant was flaky and while I wish it had more chocolate it was still delicious. I'm definitely looking forward to returning and trying something new. read more

TLDR: 4/5 for banana bread, -2/5 for serious hygiene concern abt their pastry cabinet. I'm a frequent here and have long wanted to try their chocolate chip banana bread. Unfortunately last few times I checked, they always only had the fruit & nuts version. Finally this morning, I saw some chocolate chip banana breads shinning in the pastry cabinet!!! Words can't describe how happy I was. I immediately ordered one and couldn't wait any longer. That's when I noticed all the small flies enjoying their life in the pastry cabinet. They hovered around every single pastry and frequently rested and feasted on them. I was praying silently that they would never contaminate the only two pieces of chocolate chip banana bread in the cabinet. To my desperation, they did. They licked them all. Being a huge germaphobe, I pointed this issue out to the barista. He was super nice to apologize and offer fresh pastries from the fridge. Unfortunately they only had fruit & nuts ones in the fridge again. Without any other resort, I accepted a fruit & nuts banana bread replacement. Matcha latte for the win! I came here to catch up with friends and boy that matcha latte hit the spot. The tea was actually the right temperature plus it was made with whole milk which meant it was creamy and rich. What a treat! I'm coming back for the ube latte for sure. Every time I visit a new area, I love stopping by quaint mom and pop coffee shops. I was in town visiting a friend who recommended this place, so I decided to give it a try. My go-to drink is an oat milk latte with stevia, but unfortunately, this shop didn't have stevia or any sugar-free syrups available. While I understand that it's a matter of personal preference, I believe offering more options would attract a wider range of clientele. Instead, I ended up ordering an oat milk Vanilla Bean Latte with half the sweetener. The latte itself was smooth and delicious. The milk was perfectly frothy, and the espresso had a great taste. Although I would have preferred my usual options, if you're in town and enjoy sweet drinks, you can't go wrong with the Vanilla Bean Latte at this place. In my opinion, the price doesn't match the quality. Not to say that they sell good coffee and quality beans, but I think it's slightly overpriced. I'm not into lighter roasts, but I appreciate and understand them. However, the cold brew wasn't to my taste. The cardamom rose latte was not bad! The interior layout itself is also a little small and wouldn't cater to people trying to study or work (only 2 small tables, 1 larger table, and a seating area for about 4 people). The noise level is low so I wouldn't recommend catching up with friends here (on a weekday anyway). I love this little coffee shop so much and I will happily drive 30 mins from San Jose just to get a cup of coffee. 1 oz currently has two locations one in Mountain View and one in the middle of companies in Santa Clara. This ones my favorite tho. I know $6 for a cup of coffee is kinda crazy but when it's for actually good quality and great service, it's very worth it in my opinion.
